We had a lovely stay. The description of the place was spot on. The views were amazing making us want to go back.It was an easy 2 hour drive from Milan. Close to the ski area with free parking. The hosts are so nice and helpful.Karin offered to make reservations for us and made us feel very welcome.

Excellent stay in beautiful environment

We stayed with Tijmen and Karin with our 2 children of 8 and 11 years and an excellent week. The apartment is very comfortable, clean and has everything you need. The owners live in the same building and are there when you need them (advice about walks etc) but give you all privacy. We really appreciated their hospitality The environment is beautiful: many different walks from the apartment or with short drive. Even in peak season mainly Italian tourism. We consider coming back, eventhough we never goon holiday to the same place Thank you Karin and Tijmenfor this wonderful stay!

Karin en Tijmen waren de perfecte hosts. Ze gaven ons tips over de beste restaurants, de bakker en de winkels, en ook over een aantal hikes. Het appartement is héél comfortabel, met veel licht en een prachtig uitzicht. Het overdekte terras is groot en door de ligging van het huis heb je er zon tot ze ondergaat!Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig en de fles wijn die we kregen bij aankomst heeft gesmaakt! We hebben een orachtige week gehad!

Het appartement was heel verzorgd.Karin en Paul zijn super toffe en vriendelijke gastvrouw/gastheer.Niks is teveel gevraagd als je hulp nodig hebt.Wij komen zeker terug.

Beautiful apartment and excellent hosts

The apartment is spacious and well furnished ...... a little bit of luxury in a "skiing apartment". Karin and Tijmen could not have been better hosts ..... very welcoming, answering all queries but never intruding. They even bought our daughter a birthday present! Great place to stay and we will be back

Mooi licht appartement met prachtig uitzicht

Hele fijne week gehad in dit mooie appartement. De eigenaren Karin en Tijmen zijn erg aardig en doen er alles aan om hun gasten het naar de zin te maken. Het appartement is van alle gemakken voorzien en zeer comfortabel. Prettig is ook dat er een skiruimte is waar de ski’s konden worden gestald en de schoenen verwarmd. Helemaal top!

Magnifique appartement avec vue impressionnante sur le massif du Cervin (Jumeaux, dent d'Heyrens...)

Notre séjour à Valtournenche dans l'appartement de Karin et Tijmen a été excellent sous tous rapports : accueil attentionné, appartement moderne, vaste (deux chambres accueillant confortablement parents et deux enfants) lumineux et douillet (effet peaux de mouton), d'une propreté impeccable. De surcroît, nous avons pu profiter d'une loggia très bien exposée au sud. les commerces du centre bourg de Pâquier sont assez proches (cinq minutes de voiture) et bien approvisionnés. En résumé, une excellente adresse dans une région magnifique! Ludovic et Sonja, Lyon , France

Heerlijk appartement in een prachtig gebied!

Wij hebben met 4 personen een geweldig verblijf gehad. Het appartement is van alle gemakken voorzien en modern ingericht. Eigenaars Karin en Tijmen hebben er mede voor gezorgd dat het ons aan niks ontbrak (incl wandelkaart en gidsjes voor Turijn). De omgeving is prachtig met een enorme keus aan wandelingen, voor ieder wat wils, daarnaast ook culturele uitstapjes naar Aosta of Turijn en natuurlijk de wijngaarden van de Piemonte. We hebben zwaar genoten van ons verblijf en komen graag nog eens terug!

Urlaub wie zu Hause!

Karin und Tijmen sind ganz bezaubernde Gastgeber und in der Wohnung hat man alles was man braucht um sich zu Hause zu fühlen. Selbstredend ist die Umgebung atemberaubend und wir konnten ganz viel frische Energie tanken. Danke & liebe Grüße aus Berlin von, Stephan, Claudia & Anton

We had a wonderful weeks stay - the apartment was very roomy and light and equipped with everything we needed. Karin and Simon were extremely helpful and the apartment was spotless. A perfect base for our family holiday. Thank you!

Great apartment, great hosts, easy drive to village and skiing

Lovely apartment, contemporary in style and even more spacious than the photos suggest - recently refurbished, so all nearly new. Great kitchen, useful room downstairs for skis and boots, extremely helpful owners who live onsite. Parking was easy. The village is less than a mile away and has easy parking, enough of a selection of shops and restaurants and a good bar. The Valtournenche ski lift is only a few hundred metres up from the village and has a decent hire shop with onsite lockers, bar and an efficient bubble lift. Wi-fi worked well enough and the boys liked Netflix subscription that the apartment has. Will return!

Apartment better and bigger than pictures, great views, very nice owners - far better than average

Rooms of the apartment are large, including the children's bedroom and living room. Nicely renovated to a high standard, ski boot warmer in basement, fire worked nicely, lots of lovely clean towels and bed linen to high standard. Kitchen equipment of a high and modern standard. If renting in winter and hire car from an Italian airport and forecast to snow during your stay or just before than you should insist request winter [mountain and snow - M&S] tyres from the hire car agency, it is not standard in Italy (unlike all of Switzerland) but the road to the apartment - if snowy - is not that well treated and all the locals have winter tyres fitted. We walked into town one day but generally drove as during our stay loads of snow. Chains will get you up and down but are a (unnecessary) hassle. Only a short drive to Salette lift with ski hire and storage at the bottom. The apartment is far better than normal ski accommodation and Valtournenche is a lovely, quite and unspoilt village - actually the original village where the first attempts to climb the Matterhorn were made from, although this hasn't been exploited for tourism. Google Whymper (posh English gent) vs Jean-Antoine Carrel (a hunter and mountain guide from Valtournenche) - 4 died on Whymper's ascent from Zermatt vs no deaths or injuries from Carrel's team a few days later from the harder Italian side. A lovely town square with memorial plaques to various mountain guides through the ages. Wonderful Xmas lights in general. The village has enough restaurants and pizza places and cafes to suffice. We didn't need any ski school for any of our children as they all ski well {ages 9 and 11}, I think perhaps available but more limited than Cervinia. All in all highly recommended for a ski touring holiday into Cervinia or Zermatt :)
