“Orange is the new black” was outstanding. The photos accurately reflect what the house looks like, but it is even more beautiful in person. The four bedrooms are a good size with ample closet space. The bathrooms are updated and clean. The kitchen/dining area is open, updated and clean. The sunken family room is a great cozy little place to hang out. The property is beautiful with a lemon tree and apple tree. The pool is well maintained. The game room provides a nice separate place for teens to hang out. Washer/dryer are a great asset. This is a wonderful place for a family gathering or a bachelorette party with all of the vineyards nearby. The neighborhood is quiet and convenient for a walk/run. The property manager is available for any concerns that arise and communicates well.

Very fun back yard

Easy but it was annoying that they wanted the dishwasher emptied before you left.

Thanks for your feedback. While we encourage guests to leave the home in much the same condition as they found it, while emptying the dishwasher is always helpful to our cleaning staff, it is by no means a requirement and we apologize if it may have been conveyed as such.

Family trip to wine country

We had a great time. The house and neighborhood were exactly what we were looking for and met all our needs. The host was very helpful and easy to communicate with. Absolutely no issues as the house is updated and very well supplied. The location was convenient to restaurants and allowed us to visit wineries in both Napa and Sonoma easily. All in all a wonderful experience!

Relaxing friends retreat

Eight girlfriends met up from across the country and settled in easily to this house. It had everything we needed for cooking big meals and playing games at the kitchen table. One night, we used the living room as a separate bedroom since we had a couple of bad snorers who didn't mind sleeping on the floor or couch. It never felt crowded. There is a big backyard with plenty of space for chilling out.

Lovely Home needs a few extras

Beautiful home! A few suggestions for future guests: a half bathroom with an additional toilet would’ve been extra helpful for a party size of 8. Ice machine and washing machine had mold growing inside. Ceiling fans in all bedrooms would also be a plus for comfortable sleeping at night. Pillows aren’t comfortable at all and rather flat. Beds were comfortable. Kitchen is beautiful! Thank you!

We were surprised and disappointed to read April's review. Of the prior 21 reviews we have received, nineteen have been 5 star reviews and the other two were 4 star. This review stands in stark contrast to our previous feedback. We received no less than 12 emails from April prior to her stay, requesting everything from an early check in, payment with a different credit card and wine tasting recommendations. We were happy to provide our input as well as accommodate all of these requests. Furthermore, today we even returned her security deposit 5 days before it was due. With respect to the number of bathrooms, this is something clearly stated in the listing. Several more expensive properties of similar caliber with additional bathrooms are available through VRBO and perhaps those may have made a better choice for April. However, that's not something that is easily altered with our property. With respect to the ice machine in the fridge, that's a fair comment. It's not something we have regularly checked and will add it to the list of items we will check periodically going forward. We have a modern Samsung stacked washer & dryer that gets used quite frequently. We will underscore to our cleaning folks that wiping them down after each use needs to be more thorough. The home is fully air conditioned for guest's' comfort. Pillows tend to be a very subjective item - some people don't like them fluffy, some don't like them flatter. It is hard to please everyone on that front. We will continue to strive for excellence in providing the best possible service and experience for our guests.

Family reunion

Nice remodel, comfortable beds, outdoor area was not usable due to odor from cows next door and wet furniture cushions. Rug under dining table was filthy, rugs In TV room kicked up easily. The steps to the TV room need to be marked. At eye sight the steps blend and someone can easily fall. We did, in fact, have a family member miss the unexpected first step. Kitchen was good, but needs a good knife set and clean baking pans. We did have a wonderful time and would come again.

Upon arrival we were made aware that the air conditioning was broken. With only one bedroom having a ceiling fan and very warm temps this made for an unbearable first night trying to sleep. The AC was repaired the following day. Additionally, 1 shower did not work leaving all 8 guests to shower in 1 bathroom. This too was fixed the day AFTER arrival. Pool lounge furniture was unusable (see photos). The property also shares a fence with cattle, which bring unique smells and noises when trying to be outside. This is great if you are into farm animals and the wonderful range of smells they provide.

You requested the refund of 1 nights, stay, which we thought was fair given the unforeseen circumstances. And you can see from the reviews of the property, yours was a rare experience. However you chose to leave a bad review, despite a response within 24 hours of your request. Hope it was worth the $850 we would otherwise have refunded. Reposting the review from the next guest to stay at the property after you - "The descriptions match the property, it is beautiful, spacious and worked perfectly. Will book this again next year for sure!"

Clean updated house, great property

Everything about our recent stay at this house was wonderful. The house is newly updated with great features. The fenced in back yard is enormous and is finished nicely with patios, a pool, and a small "pool house" that has a pool table and bar area. There is an outdoor fireplace which unfortunately was not working for us at that time (the ONLY thing that wasn't perfect). The house is about a 8 minute drive from downtown Sonoma and is in a very nice, quiet neighborhood surrounded by large properties, many of which have their own grapevines; very picturesque (there were vines in the process of being planted in the front of this house as well). There is plenty of parking for several cars (we had 3). Checking in was simple and the owners and manager were very responsive to any questions (both before our stay and while we were there). They even gave us a bottle of very nice Champagne for us to enjoy. I would definitely recommend this house to anyone traveling to Sonoma looking for a comfortable, quiet stay with a great value.

Our host Jerry went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. He went so far as to offer us his personal travel cooler when I inquired about one. I’ve never had a host so invested in making sure our stay was excellent. The house was clean and the kitchen seemed fairly well equipped although we didn’t cook during our visit. The pool was warm although we weren’t able to utilize it due to the lack of lounge chairs. It is my understanding that the chairs are in the process of being replaced. The location is a 10 minute drive to Sonoma Square which was very convenient for dinners out.
