Trout fish in your front yard while your wife enjoys the hot tub on the deck. This 1 bedroom 1 bathroom cabin is perfect for a romantic getaway or a weekend fishing trip. Cookout on the deck with the propane grill or dine out in one of the nearby restaurants. The cabin has an efficiency kitchen and a futon couch for young children. Cabin is located across the river from the Monongahela National Forest where thousands of miles of hiking and mountain biking trails await you. Canoeing, fishing, hiking, mountain bike riding. It's all here, all that's missing is you.

Everything was exceptionally clean and all amenities/instructions were as expected upon arrival. The supplemental driving instruction to the cabin were clear and easy to follow. Had a chance to walk down to Whiskey River Grill for dinner and drinks would definitely recommend for future guests. Overall a great time at the cabin.

2 Day get away

My wife and I stayed a couple days and really enjoyed our time. Erik was a very good host and made sure everything was in order for our stay. We really enjoyed the deck and hot tub.

The cabin was so welcoming and comfortable. We took advantage of the firepit along the river nightly just listening to the water and nature. The hot tub was a special perk for me. Also took the opportunity to read 2 books available at the cabin.

Relaxing get away

Needed a relaxing getaway and we found it! Cabin was clean and cozy river was right behind cabin so could just wal out an fish. Hot tub was amazing and this property was pet friendly so we didn't have to leave our pup behind. Erik the host was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend this property.

The Stay at a River Side Cabin

Our overall experience at the cabin is great. Erik is terrific when it comes to communication and being helpful. You have tons of privacy and your own private river. I'd probably live there. My only recommendation is that the mattress be updated cause my old body didn't sleep very well. But the hot relaxing hot tub on the porch helped out. I would definitely stay here again and next time it would be the summer.

One of our favorite places

This is the 6th time we have stayed at Erik's cabin, we absolutely love staying at the cabin. Perfect location, nice cabin, private, and we just love it. It is always very memorable but this trip was extra special. My boyfriend proposed and we saw a bear about 15 minutes after the proposal. Staying at the cabin never disappoints. We are excited for our 7th trip.

Definitely Recommend

Our stay was Excellent!! The cabin was easy to find and very clean. A fire pit and sitting area near a majestic river is available year round. We really enjoyed the hot tub and if the weather was a little warmer we would have part taken of the BBQ grill on the fully covered and private patio. My wife and I recommend this cabin to anyone, and we look forward to returning in the near future. Thank you Erik.

Great

Great little cabin for a weekend getaway! A short drive from the Elkins train station, and a lovely little property. Enjoyed the hot tub, the view of the river, and spent an evening having a lovely nostalgic night watching a movie on VHS! The only thing that bothered us is the bedroom- it’s a bit small and the bedframe sticks out a little, so we kept tripping over it. Would happily stay here again!

A Wonderful Christmas!

Spent Christmas here and it was just as wonderful as we had hoped it would be! It was such a cozy spot and we were even lucky enough to experience a white Christmas. Erik was very communicative and made sure we would be able to stay warm with these crazy negative degree windchills. Thanks Erik for letting us create such a happy memory here!
