This newly remodeled Lake home is the perfect place kickback and relax in nature with the family and friends in a fully furnished 3 bed, 2 bath lake house with spectacular views of Tuttle Creek Reservoir and the scenic Flint Hills region outside Manhattan, KS. Featuring hiking trails down to lake, mountain biking, boating, canoeing, fishing, swimming and a local beach area to hang out with friends. It is located in a friendly neighborhood on a quiet dead end drive just minutes from local state parks, just 10 traffic free minutes from Bill Snyder Family Stadium and Kansas State University, and 15 minutes from downtown shops and restaurants.
The upstairs of the house features a fully furnished kitchen, dinning room, full bath, master bedroom, office, family room w/ fireplace, and spacious large deck with grill, fire pit, lounge area, and dinner tables. The perfect place spend time with family and friends.
The downstairs includes 2 bedrooms, full bath, washer and dryer, and a large lower deck.

Great place to stay, neighbor is not so neighborly

Place and host were great! I would stay again but….you must know the neighbor is not so great. Parking is not so easy because of neighbor. If you’re able to walk down the hill from a cul-de-sac then you will have no issues. You must follow the rules of parking or else you will get a visit from your friendly neighborhood police officer! Just follow the rules and everything is perfect! Everyone is aware of this neighbor and the rest of the neighbors are willing to help out and work with you on parking! Great host!

Very pleasant stay

This was a 5 STAR stay. The owner was fantastic to work with. Very communicative. The property was surrounded by trees, giving a real sense of solitude. The home was quaint and had a real sense of warmth. The kitchen was well stocked. My friends and I were very happy to have spent time at this location! It was wonderful.

Great place

This property was great for our annual girls trip. Located in a private country area but still close to many towns/attractions. The view from the wrap around deck was beautiful! The house was clean and the beds were comfortable.

Great view

The setting was great. A very quiet place. Two family members slept on the lower level and heard rodents moving around in the ceiling and walls. There were scratching sounds. It seemed could use some TLC.

Parking nightmare

Host provided false parking information and as you can probably guess, if you read other reviews, the cops came. I would give the police officer that was forced to come out and show us where we can parkstarxreview.

Tuttle Lake House

Property over looks a valley a small body of water. The two decks provided a conducive view that supported an extreme relaxation for me and my family. In spite of the ongoing property line issues witch were resolved after our arrival, I recommend to others looking for a relaxing time away from home.

Rare Kansas Gem

Let's be honest, it's a beautiful state, but there aren't many rental properties in Kansas that have nice lake views or mountain/hilly vistas. So, we were thrilled to find a place that had a big deck with a spectacular view for a short fall getaway. We'll be back!

Disappointed

Obviously the place had not been cleaned since the last occupants. Beds unmade, bathroom towels on the floor, trashes overflowing, food on the floor, overall disgusting. Owner said he would have a talk with his cleaning crew, but only gave a partial refund. Host still owes us $77.50 Not responding to messages!

Outstanding!!!

Overall it was outstanding!!! Did have a visit from the police because of the neighbor and how his property line is located. Apparently this is an ongoing thing according to the Officer. Lovely views. Spacious . Would stay again and definitely recommend.

Overgrown weeds

Property not taken care of at all. Overgrown weeds. Very weak balcony. Pond was gross full of moss. The dog kennel was not able to be used at all. And parking up at the neighbors. Could even go outside unless we were leaving

Good Property, Excellent Views

One neighbor is uptight about a VRBO being next door. Just park in the right spot and he'll stay off your case. Accomodates dogs but not much room for roaming or walking. The house is solid, though cabinets and the like are getting a little beat up (some drawers were falling off, etc.).

Nice, but

Mostly new inside, clean, well prepared kitchen, comfortable beds. Keurig did NOT work. Grill technically worked but was rusted out on inside could not regulate the cooking process. Overall good stay.

The neighbor is crazy and out of control. We left after first night. Waiting for a refund. We were in Kansas for a funeral and this neighbor made the stay very uncomfortable with threats. So sad!

Disappointed

The house accommodations were over promised. Very unsafe parking for motorcycles. Need gravel. Shower off the kitchen did not work. Cupboard doors were off. Stool in bathroom moves. Counter in the bathroom moves. Head of Bed in upstairs bedroom lifts up when you sit in the end of the bed. Neighbors were very nice. Deck moves when people walk around. Maintenance has been neglected.
