This Swan riverfront home is the highest rated VRBO in the area! Recently upgraded with all new furnishings, this home has three bedrooms and an enclosed porch that doubles as fourth bedroom. Three and a half high quality bathrooms including a steam shower you'll need after your float down the river or coming in from snow skiing. A gourmet kitchen is a chef's dream. Everything you'll need is there to cook or bake to impress your family. All the beds come with new high-quality mattresses fitted with premium linens. Enjoy wildlife or bird watching while relaxing on the front or back porch or fly fishing in the popular Swan River. Be away from it all yet stay connected at the same time with our super fast Spectrum internet. Cell service in the area is also excellent. An additional Bunkhouse is located on the property that can sleep 4 to 6 additional guests with a full bath, kitchenette, and internet TV. If you book from October through April and need the extra space, check with the owner for its availability and pricing.

Great place. Has everything you want. We had six adults and three kids. Plenty of space and a great space to unwind. On the flip side always something to do if that’s what you want.

Amazing house

Amazing house in great neighborhood, easy drive to glacier, flathead and kalispell. Owner was very good communicating, had a small issue come up while staying there and he wqs very fast in helping us resolve it. Would dtay again

Beautiful house on the river

We had a wonderful experience staying at this house. It is a great location to see lots of areas around Flathead Lake and go to Glacier Park. Stephen was able to assist us when our rental car would not start and we were able to get a way for us to get to our event. We know that wouldn’t have happened if we stayed somewhere else. The house is great and we had plenty of room to spread out.

Our 2nd fantastic stay

The property and home are absolutely fantastic, well kept and very friendly booking process as well as excellent communications. We simply love the area and being out away from the middle of town as well as having access to the River right behind the house. Will be booking again next year for sure!

Very relaxing stay!

We made it our home for 9 days. We enjoyed spending quality time with our family along with the beautiful home and the outdoors. Our little grandsons loved the teepee and the beautiful Swan River!

Weir Family Vacation

If I could rate this higher than 5 stars I definitely would, there is no way to explain how amazing this place is, it seems like all you need is your clothes, everything you need is at your fingertips. I have never stayed at a more beautiful place in my life, the whole family enjoyed their stay also. we will definitely go back, thank you all for your amazing hospitality.

Gorgeous Home For Large Family

The property was even more than expected! The layout was very functional and stocked beyond any home we’ve rented. If you can think of it, they have it!! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and would definitely love to stay again sometime 👍

Beautiful river property!

This home was a perfect gathering place for our family. My husband and I stayed and our grandchildren took turns spending the night with us. Our kids loved coming out to visit and enjoy the peace and comfort of the home.

Beautiful Home

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Bigfork. The house was perfect for us. Spacious and very clean, setting was wonderful. Our host , Stephen was very responsive, accommodating, generous and flexible. Bigfork and the area are fun to explore, the snow capped mountains are breathtaking! Thank you for a very memorable experience!

Family Vacation

We had 12 people for our vacation. The house was absolutely stunning! So clean and had all the amenities you'd need! The beds were comfortable and cozy! We had a few campfires at night and the guys enjoyed fishing behind the house! We saw many deer! Stephen was so helpful and had great communication! We made so many wonderful memories! We hope to be back soon!

Amazing home

Beautiful home on the Swan River, an ideal setting. Lots of seating on porches and patio, quiet with just the sound of the river. Nicely appointed with fabrics and furniture, TVs, etc. Master suites were gorgeous and very large. Kitchen was fit for a gourmet chef and pantry was well stocked. We will definitely return for a future stay.

Best Vacation Home Ever!

We arrived to a VERY clean home that exceeded our expectations! Wild life was abundant and we went fly fishing for our first time right behind the house. Stephen was highly responsive to our questions and was amazingly helpful with providing information about the property and area. 6 of us and the house could have easily accommodated a few more. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing worry free vacation.

Wonderful home for a family vacation!

This property was pitch perfect! We enjoyed a family reunion with 11 people, including kids. All amenities were better than described. Chef's kitchen was a dream! Kid's bunkhouse was the perfect "get away" for the kiddos. The Swan river is literally in the back yard, much closer than it looks on the map. Thank you Steve for allowing us to rent your beautiful home!

Swan River beauty

We enjoyed every moment of our stay at the river house! We live in the area and needed overflow for family and it was perfect! Stephen was very attentive to our needs and responded quickly! Nicest Property Ever

I was so excited about this house when I booked it, and it did not disappoint! Rooms were spacious, everything was spotless, kitchen had everything we needed to prepare meals, being on the waterfront was incredible, and the wildlife that meander the property were so exciting for our little grandchildren. We ventured up to Glacier several days for hiking, and coming home to such a relaxing place just made the trip. This is our 8th year of renting people's houses, and it was the nicest property ever! Thank you, thank you!

An Absolute Dream

I cannot say enough amazing things about this property. First of all EVERYTHING, you need is there. We never ran out of supplies due to how stocked the kitchen and bathrooms were. The home was immaculately clean and with a large group like ours we had so much space. It truly is a slice of heaven, my family is still talking about it and how they can't wait to go back. Stephen is great about getting back to me when I had questions, with no extended delays at all. Seeing the deer and the geese in the backyard was such a treat for us. This home is the perfect getaway. Cannot wait to return...

Fantastic property with views and amenities. The perfect getaway for the family.

In short - highly recommend and we would come back in a heartbeat. A really beautiful piece of property combined with an extremely well cared-for and wonderfully-appointed home. The setting is really quite stunning - the soothing swan river through the back, the rugged swan range mountains in the front and surrounded by towering pines. The home itself is fitting for the property - also quite beautiful with original artwork, wood and stonework and an inviting fireplace that just draws you in. The gourmet kitchen was a joy for the whole family to cook and bake in and was really quite tough to leave behind :) The surrounding area was beautiful to explore, with hiking and skiing close at hand and shops and restaurants just a few miles away. Personally, I could have spent every day adventuring around Jewel Basin. Stephen was extremely helpful and responsive to our evolving needs and worked hard to ensure it was the perfect holiday getaway for my whole family. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we extended our stay by an extra week - and would have stayed another month if we could!

Peaceful Retreat by the River

Our extended family of 3 generations spent a very happy week in the this wonderful retreat by the Swan River. We had record high temperatures so the fishing was a challenge, but our sons still managed to catch a few. The grandchildren had a blast playing at the edge of the river and Stephen generously had life jackets on hand for our use. On the hottest days we enjoyed tubing down the river in front of the house. There are no neighbors nearby, so privacy abounds. The massive kitchen was big enough for our group of 10 to enjoy dinners at home. The house was supplied with everything we could possibly need, and the large rooms comfortably housed all of us. We went in to Glacier a few times and explored the cute town of Bigfork. But some of our favorite memories were the hours spent by the river. We couldn’t have asked for a better host and property!

Dream Home

We spent a week here after traveling the National Parks for a week. It was so relaxing and accommodating that our kids didn't want to even leave to get dinner out! We stayed around the house as much as possible. Between the floats, the fishing rods, the putting green, the books, the firepit, and the chairs by the river, we had no reason to leave. Deer came to visit every night. Everything you can think of was provided in this home, including "real" shampoo and soap. The amenities, furnishings, and appliances were high-end and there is tons of space for even the largest of families. We have already discussed coming back in the winter and again next summer. The owners are so easy to work with and very friendly. If someone absolutely made me give one suggestion of improvement, I would be hard-pressed to find one, but would offer as a "dream list" - a hot tub in a gazebo by the river. However, if they add that, they may have to evict us!

What a special place!

What a special place this is! Ten members of my family came from Missoula, MT and Fairhope, AL to spend the week together. From the moment we pulled into the drive, this house and property met or exceeded all expectations. We couldn't stop repeating "This place is incredible." We made a few day trips to Glacier National Park, but spent the majority of our time here enjoying the Swan River House. Our days were spent either by or in the river, and our nights were spent visiting and making s'mores by the fire pit. Lots of fishing took place, but apparently the fish weren't interested in joining the fun. We anchored floats to the river rocks and floated the hours away with stunning views. We soaked in our days here, and we're already dreaming of our return. Thanks to Stephen for a fantastic experience! We lacked not a single comfort or luxury during our stay. We're taking memories with us and leaving behind nothing but good vibes for those lucky enough to enjoy a stay here in the future. Don't forget to look at the stars!

The Peaceful House

I can't begin to say enough about this lovely piece of property. As soon as we drove in calm fell over all of us. The house sits back off the road making for a very quiet setting. The grounds are stunning with a variety of trees. Best of all it sits on the Swan River for a tranquil view. Inside, the rooms were well appointed with lovely bedding and interesting artwork. I love when a rental has great family room seating with throws. The bedrooms and baths were lovely. Off of the family room is a fourth bedroom/reading room. Very large room with 2 trundle beds and 3 comfortable upholstered chairs. Lots of windows to view the river. In the kitchen you will find EVERYTHING you need. Two type of coffee makers and tons of pots and pans. But the back porch and yard was the best. Tons of chairs to sit in both close to the house and next to the river. There was even a hammock! We loved the ease of taking tubes out of the river right there with no driving to a location. If you want to travel to Montana to explore Glacier Park and the region you should definitely try to stay in this house.

Our family has owned the Swan Riverhouse since 1979. We have enjoyed all the seasons in this beautiful place. It is truly magical. Montana has inspired me to become an artist after first visiting in 1979. The house has my paintings throughout. As a job, I worked in Animation for all the major studios. Our family and friends have all held this place very dear to their hearts as I have. I hope you enjoy it also and it inspires you too!

Por qué eligió esta propiedad

The Swan Riverhouse is a private spot on the river. There are no visible neighbors on either side yet it is close enough to town for everything you need. A flat paved road to the property makes it easy to access in all seasons. The property has a park-like setting where you and your guests can feel free to be yourselves and enjoy a peaceful escape from the big city. It has a serene feel that makes you feel at peace being there. There is a gentle slope to the river and the river is shallow enough for kids to wade in while they try fishing or floating. Deer come to the property looking for snacks. If you have cabbage or apples, they will eat out of your hand.

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

The Swan River is great for fly fishing out our back door with a nice fishing hole about 3/4 of a wade out. You have to be an excellent fly fisherman to catch the big ones. A great river to float down with your friends and family. Just remember to lift your butt when going over the rocks! If you want to go to the lake to swim or picnic, you can visit Swan Lake park down the road where you can load your boat and hang out on the pebble beach. At night go into town for the Bigfork Summer Playhouse or a nice dinner. Take a drive to Glacier National Park for the day or do a day hike at nearby Jewel Basin. In winter ski Whitefish Mountain Resort or Blacktail Mountain Ski Resort. There is so much to do and enjoy here. Just ask me, I'll be glad to direct your adventures.
