Great cottage in beautiful & peaceful surroundings. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts were very helpful & friendly, & welcomed us with a bottle of wine. We highly recommend this property.

Great little cottage in a lovely peaceful hamlet. The host was friendly and helpful. All the facilities were as advertised and the cottage is only a few minutes from the main road from where it is easy to access the coast, the lakes (Loweswater, Crummock Water and Buttermere), Cockermouth and Keswick. We would definitely stay there again.

Had a lovely stay here. Colin was very accommodating, responsive and offered great local advice. The accommodation was in great condition very well looked after and extremely clean. Would highly recommend.

Great property, lovely area, and lovely hosts

We really enjoyed our stay at the cottage. Such a lovely place, clean and well presented with everything you need. Colin the owner was welcoming and comms before we arrived were fab. Such a lovely place and area, we will be back.

Delightful little cottage in North-West Lake District

This was the most restful and comfortable place to stay with quick and easy access to the North-Western part of the Lake District. It's much less crowded than Keswick or Windermere areas. A walk up the hill opposite the cottage brings you to Pardshaw Crags, takes all of three minutes and offers you a panoramic view of the mountains of the Western Lakes and all around. We will be coming to stay here again!

Beautiful cosy cottage

Me and my partner booked this cottage for a break away making more memories.the views were amazing. We was greeted my colin when we arrived such a lovely gentleman. The cottage was beautiful, so clean it has everything you need to the tv, board games and a stereo. I would 100% recommend this place to stay. I would like to say thanks to colin and lesley such great hosts, me and my partner will return again in the future.

Amazing

Colin and Lesley were absolutely wonderful, they couldn't do enough to make us feel welcome. The directions Colin sent got us there without any arguments which was a bonus. The cottage is lovely, with everything you need for a self catering holiday. It is well placed for visits to the Western Lakes along with tips for the best and quietest lakes for a hike round from Colin. A wonderful place to stay - cannot recommend enough.

Excellent cosy base for the Western Lake District

Lovely quiet place with a field up the crags for walking a dog (as there were no sheep in it at the time). Colin was extremely helpful in answering our question and even lending us a map to help us with walks in the area. Really could not have been more accommodating. While my 82 year old dad stayed in the Garden Cottage, Colin and Lesley let us stay in our VW camper on the drive so we could be near him.

A very lovely and handy cottage.

Colin and Lelsey are realy fine hosts who liked to give answers on all our questions and offered their help when asked for. The Garden Cottage is not big but very convenient. We had a realy nice stay there. TV, Video Player with video's, radio, free internet via WiFi, a small but handy kitchen, shower, a large double bed, nicely decorated, ... ,even a washing machine. You have to do the dishes by hand, but just for 2 people it's done in a jiffy.

A delightful stay!

Thank you so much to Colin and Lesley for such a wonderful stay, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! Garden cottage had all we could need, great kitchen, good stable internet, nice hot showers, comfort and charm throughout - so many personal touches and stories in the artwork and books. Colin and Lesley were marvellous, nothing was too much bother, he always went above and beyond for us. Colin is a fountain of knowledge and experience, we learned so much, and his recommendations made our trip! We'd have no hesitation in recommending to anyone. Ben and Ash.

Charming little cottage, West Lakes.

What a lovely place in a beautiful location, west side of the Lake District. All the home comforts you could need including reclining sofa and a washing machine! Clean, comfortable and warm with excellent wifi connection. Thank you to the friendly hosts Colin and Lesley who were to hand if anything was needed but who were not intrusive or interferring at all. Would definitely recommend this property and the area for anyone thinking of trying the lesser visited part of the beautiful Lakes. It's only a stone's throw away from Loweswater, Crummock Water and Buttermere.

Charmant logement très bien équipé, décoré avec soin, très propre et très confortable (literie) dans la propriété des hôtes mais totalement indépendant. Vues sur les deux parties du jardin très agréables. Garage fermé disponible pour les vélos. Tranquillité absolue. L'accueil de Collin était top ! Situés en limite du parc du Lake District, nous avons pu combiner la découverte de ce parc national, de la petite ville de Cockermouth, et de la côte Ouest. Séjour parfait que nous recommandons.

Keurige cottage. Alles aanwezig wat je nodig zou kunnen hebben. Niet ver rijden van prachtige natuurgebieden. Prima uitvalsbasis om de omgeving te verkennen.

Verkennen van het Lake District

Garden Cottage was een mooi klein huisje waarin je je snel thuis voelde. Van daaruit konden we makkelijk de meeste hoogtepunten van het Lake District verkennen. Colin was een zeer behulpzame, fijne gastheer.

Wonderful sojourn in Garden Cottage

After nearly two weeks in B&Bs it was really wonderful to stay in Garden Cottage for 6 days. It is a very well equipped house with all you need and more. The cottage has enough space to live in, a nice little private garden, a calm and beautiful surrounding. And...what is more important than all this, the owners Colin and Lesley are very nice and helpful people. We liked the little chats and friendly suggestions. We really recommend this cottage in the calm region of the Lake District.
