Character and history abound in this utterly charming duplex furnished apartment, in metro Boston near Logan Airport. Awarded for outstanding achievement in historic preservation, the apartment has been completely renovated with loving care, incorporating architectural details and décor that hark back to the building’s rich history as a firehouse. The rooms are chock full of nooks and crannies and charm galore. The gleaming hardwood floors and 11 foot ceilings give an airy, spacious feel as a family friendly vacation rental for Boston visitors. The open concept first floor features a fully equipped kitchen with beautiful wood cabinets and a living room area with flat screen TV and desk area perfect for computer time. There is also a ½ bath and a full bed in a corner away from the living room area. The second floor has two bedrooms with queen beds and a full bath WITH CLAW FOOT TUB AND SHOWER. Central air keeps you comfortable in summer, and environmentalists will appreciate the solar heated water and eco-friendly products. Located close to biking and hiking trails, playgrounds and state parks (bike storage provided). 4 blocks to the bus or 20 minute walk to public transit, or drive and park to another metro in 10-15 minutes. All take you Boston’s historic sites, Tufts University and MIT. History buffs will delight. (NOTE: STAIRS TO BEDROOMS A LITTLE STEEP.) Off street parking for one car, must be reserved. No street parking. Rate based on 4 guests. Additional guest $ 30/night. Maximum 6 guests. Service Animal policy:

Pre-Halloween Stay

Very nice, historic property! Plenty of updates and creature comforts for the modern family. We all thoroughly enjoyed the stay, with the biggest complaint (and an EXTREMELY small one at that) being the creakiness of the wooden floors. We would absolutely come back and stay again the next time we come to Boston.

Our Firehouse getaway

Everything was perfect. Central location for going to Boston sites and Salem too. Comfortable setting and very friendly host. It was great for our first trip to Boston. Highly recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed staying at the firehouse. The accommodations were great and there is a lot of interesting wall art. Very clean, comfy beds, really great. Owners were amazing as well.

What a great place!

The lower level of this two floor apartment actually feels larger than you would expect from the photos. Plenty of room for relaxing and entertaining. The upstairs bedrooms are both spacious and comfortable, with a shared bathroom down the hall. We really enjoyed our week in Malden at the fire house!

What a cool rental

We are a family of four traveling in New England for our vacation and wanted to spend a few days in Boston area. Location was very convenient to all areas in Boston and surrounding. The apartment is well equipped and communication with the host was fabulous. My only regret is not getting a tour of the rest of the building to see how the owners are transforming this historic building. Maybe next time? 😁

East Coast Trip

Super clean and host was very easy to communicate with. Off street parking was nice as well. The host did a tremendous job on renovations. If we are back in the area we will definitely book again!

Boston getaway

Unique property located in a quiet area. Host met us upon arrival and graciously showed us around. Clean, comfortable and convient. Short walk or drive to restaurants, grocery and metro transportation. We would definitely stay here again.

Great Family Stay

Our family had a a great stay at Chez Fuego! The converted fire house was a lot of fun for our sons. It was clean with plenty of room for everyone and many amenities included. The owners were very communicative and helpful with our questions. Easy to get the the T and navigate the city from there while avoiding the traffic. The designated parking spot was a great feature as well. Would stay again!

Marathon Main Stay

This was the perfect spot for the 4 of us to reside while in ‘Boston’ for the big race; we found it easy to navigate transportation. Cleanliness of property and strong communication are key factors when I select a place to stay: this site exceeded our expectations! Highly recommended!

Family Vacation

This restored fire house made our trip to Boston all the more memorable! The hosts were so accommodating, the house was extremely clean and our family of 6 slept comfortably! So cozy and fun, perfect location also and the parking spot was so nice! We couldn’t be more happy with our stay!

Felt like home away from home

Gorgeous home in Malden

This gorgeous restored Firehouse was a perfect getaway for our group of adults. The property is maintained beautifully and the owners provide everything needed. The beds we’re comfortable, the house was spotless! The owners had great advice on how to ride the train and commuter rail. They also provided great advise on places to eat and things to do. The location is perfect whether your visiting Boston or adventuring to Salem! Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

Great location

The property was clean, had everything we needed, great location. Close to the commuter rail, 30-45 minute drive to Salem (depending on traffic). The owners greeted us upon arrival and gave a tour of the property. They have a folder with directions to the commuter rail, restaurants and places to visit. The owners do live in the apartment that is connected to the property but we never knew they were there. We really enjoyed the property, it is beautiful. Property is just as described.
