Host was waiting to meet us. Room was very nice and clean. It is a good distance from Boston and Salem if you are there to visit. Overall great experience.

We had a wonderful stay! The hosts were absolutely lovely and so welcoming. The space was clean, comfortable, and had such a cozy, homey feel. It was a great place to come back to after a long day of exploring. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend it!

Geoff and Michelle went above and beyond to make our family feel welcome. The size of the apartment was great and the beds were really comfortable. They went out of their way to check in several times to ensure we had everything we needed. We were glad to stay here and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the north shore.

We had the best time while staying at this property. They were very accommodating. Everything we could have possibly need they had available. The property was very family friendly. The hosts were available via text or phone whenever we needed something. If we ever decide to make a trip back to the area we will definitely use this property again. Thank you Geoff and Michelle for making our stay a pleasant one.

The hosts were extremely accommodating over the length of our stay. They consistently checked in to see how our experience was going and if we needed anything. Everything was clean and cozy. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a great location equidistant to Boston and Salem.

Time Away from the City

I really liked visiting Boston, but man I was glad to get away from it to rest and recover for more adventures. This place was perfect for what my family and I needed: a quiet, friendly place to rest before heading back to Boston for more fun!

Perfect location in a quiet neighborhood

Just the right amount of room for our group of four. Twenty minutes from Boston, and close to Tewksbury where my niece was competing in the American Dance Awards. Our host was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

Perfect Location, Great Stay

Suite is in the lower level of a beautiful home that is easy to find and within the safe neighborhood of Reading, MA. The hosts were lovely. We greatly appreciated being welcomed by them and made to feel comfortable. They were sweet and checked-in briefly to ensure all needs were met. We had the opportunity to enjoy our privacy while being within easy driving distance from both Salem and Boston. We managed to visit both and return to our suite safely with ease. Would strongly recommend staying here.

Nice Basement Studio

The hosts were very accommodating allowing us to move our entire stay by one day when our plans changed. The hosts are kind, gave a tour when we arrived, and said hello when we came and went.The pictures are accurate: it's a large studio basement apartment that uses furniture and room dividers to separate the main bed area and the living area (that has the option for 2 twin beds). Our kids really enjoyed the foosball table. While there isn't a full kitchen or kitchenette, there are a few kitchen appliances, like a full sized fridge! The only sink is in the bathroom.The outdoor patio is a shared space. And while the hosts have a Labrador dog in the backyard, the dog isn't allowed in the basement studio, so, the inside is truly pet free, which was a huge plus for us!The parking situation has apparently changed since the listing was written: there was no driveway parking available. We were told to park across the street from the driveway on a road that felt busy during morning/evening rush hours.For a basement studio, this is a good and comfortable place to stay. We would stay again.

Great Location Clean - Your spot for the Marathon or Boston SIghtseeing

This is a great location for anyone trying to get in and out of Boston. Good things: Owner super responsive, everything they said you would ave was there. Good spot for family - sleeps 4 comfortably. Bathroom really clean. Easy to get into. Good parking. Foos ball table and big tv with comfy leather couch to hang out on and watch the Red Sox games. Big clean refrigerator and washer and dryer. Super nice patio with great furniture. Painless off street parking. Wifi signal strong. Great value - no way are you getting a hotel anywhere near here for this price. Minus: You are literally in someone's basement. So, since it was ridiculously humid, even though they have a big dehumidifier, that creates heat which then the air conditioner fights against. The only sink, is in the bathroom. So no way to really do anything with the coffee mugs which are provided for use with the Kuerig and microwave. So, if they put in a sink, counter space and an window air conditioner to help the other one out, this place would be a 10! Would I stay again, all things considered? Yes. Clean, spacious, super nice owner wanting to make sure all goes well. Thanks for sharing your space with us!

Great location to get to Boston and Salem! But that’s about it

It was clean and The location was amazing! That was about it. There were a few things I did not care for at this location. It is in their basement, which is fine! The noise policy is from 9pm-7am. They were up and noisy in the mornings before 7. It states a light breakfast like yogurt but there was only 3 yogurts for 5 people for 3 days. So that was disappointing. I also noticed they had their own personal food and freezer in the kitchen space. I was disappointed they had been in the basement while we stayed there. We left and came back and they had moved food around in the fridge. Same fridge as where they had the yogurt for us. So that is how I knew they were in there. I think they need to stay out of the space to respect their guests privacy. I think for these reasons it is overpriced. I also got charged for an extra person, roughly $100 more due to an “extra person” but I don’t understand that because it slept 6 people and we had 5. I asked about it and never got a response back. You are also told you get half the driveway but one of the days they had painters there and we had to park in the street. It wasn’t ideal, especially when you’re told differently and pay for such things. No, I would not stay here again.

When our guests arrive we always take the time to identify any shared spaces, to ensure the comfort of our guests. And while we do our best to have our kids stay quiet in the mornings you will hear our family periodically upstairs. With our suite location being so close to Salem, Boston, the North Shore and NH/ME/VT, the month of October is our busiest month of the year. We love hosting guests to see the beautiful fall foliage or the many sights that Boston and New England have to offer. As with all VRBO bookings, our price is based on the seasonality of our guests’ visit, the length of stay, and the size of the group staying at our property. During this busy season we aim to keep our price reasonable as we know how costly it can be to visit the Boston area. While the space accommodates up to 6 people, the price of a stay is based on the size of your group and is clearly laid out on the VRBO platform before booking is confirmed. We always do our best to be flexible to accomodate our guests’ needs as we become aware of them and communication with our guests is our top priority.

Little gem!

I'll be honest, at first I was a little apprehensive about a listing that was part of someone's full time home. However, we had a great experience! We fit our family of 6 comfortably in the space, great distance to both Salem and Boston, quick and friendly correspondence with the property owner. We utilized the solo stove and patio and really enjoyed our cozy stay!

Cozy comfort

We were Boston for the game opener Boston vs Rutgers. What a game! Go Rutgers. Our stay was just as good. The area was beautiful, close to everything, including Boston for the game, sightseeing, shopping, an array of restaurants. The host family was warm and welcoming and the property was cozy and quaint. Great weekend family time!
