The property was perfect for the three weeks that we needed to stay there while our house was being renovated. There's a fenced-in small backyard, which we needed for our two dogs; a really great grill in the back was also appreciated. The kitchen is well-stocked, the washing machine and dryer work well, and the front porch is great in the evenings after the hot Houston sun starts setting. The host, Hunter, was quick to respond when we communicated with him about a plumbing hiccup and extending our stay by a few days. This is the second time we've stayed here and would recommend it to anyone who would prefer a house rental to a condo or apartment. We certainly preferred it to the alternatives!

Excellent location and super hopeful host. If you want to experience a low key authentic stay, this 1920’s era home is for you. The evenings were lovely on the porch and quiet. The kitchen is fully stocked and large for a cottage. It’s a unique place to experience in a wonderfully diverse neighborhood. I would stay here again.

Excellent stay. Easy check in, comfortable beds, great location with restaurants in walkable distance. This older house has lots of charm and it’s fully updated for modern comfort. Neat neighborhood for daily walks. Plenty of parking, lots of thoughtful extras. Highly recommended!!

Great location, lots of character

Great long weekend visiting our son who lives closer to west Dallas, but great daily walk along and thru the parks, great restaurants around, very easy and comfortable stay.

The host is excellent! Responds very quickly. I have stayed here 3 or 4 times! Very unique and quaint. It has everything you need.

This is an amazing home with character in a nice neighborhood. Ample space with two bedrooms, living room, dining room, and large kitchen. The kitchen is well-stocked with high-quality cookware (not the cheap stuff you find in some rentals) which was important to us, as we prepared many of our meals. The front porch was sublime for morning coffee and tea. Parking was easy with an area next to the house. Communication with the host was excellent and the checkout was easy. An outstanding stay, glad we found it, hope to come again!

Perfect for our stay

We enjoyed our 2 night stay. It was perfect for our needs and in a really nice neighborhood close to downtown. Lots of restaurant option in walking distance. I hope we can stay here again when we return in October.

Perfect location

This house is situated in a quiet neighborhood, walking distance to the Buffalo bayou and for us our son's apartment so it works perfectly Second visit for us, hope to return.

Really feels like you stepped back in history. We enjoyed our 3 night stay. This home is only blocks away from our daughter's house, so it was easy to walk back and forth during our visit. Don't miss Laredo Tacos for breakfast - get there early to avoid the line. Would definitely stay here again.

Charming bungalow amidst townhome conversions

Charming older home in largely redeveloped neighborhood. Quiet and good location. Very responsive host. Would definitely stay here again.

The house is charming and has everything you need as described on the listing. The location was very convenient for us. Since the house is handicap accessible the shower head is very low. It’s not super convenient but it is detachable therefore, if you are a tall person you would have to hold it over your head to rinse off. It’s very minor and fixable. The host was responsive and overall if we were in the area again we would definitely chose to stay here.

Totally lived up to positive reviews

This place has so much charm and proximity to delicious food. I was worried that it wouldn't be as nice as the pictures but honestly, it was nicer and even seemed more spacious. Wished I could stay longer.
