We were 4 couples who stayed for one month. The villa was great with everyone having their own private space - bedrooms and bathrooms. Great cooks kitchen and the outside gardens and pool were spectacular!! Owners were lovely and on hand with any questions. We were so glad we chose this villa and the area. Two cars and having the back up of the bus to Lucca for connecting trains to everywhere made everything very easy. The village was also lovely with a great general store, butcher and restaurant. A wonderful experience with great memories made.

Beautiful property in gorgeous location with great pool and fantastic accommodation.Very well suited for several generations or large friendship groups.Very friendly and efficient host who is a great communicator. The grounds are stunning and lots to do locally and further afield.Thank you !

Magnificent! Do not pass up the opportunity to stay at this wonderful property. Our party of 10 enjoyed our 2 week stay at this spacious villa and the gorgeous countryside setting. Our hosts were very helpful in making sure all our needs were taken care of. We would definitely stay here again.

We booked Villa Belvedere for four weeks to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary and were joined by family and friends during the stay.The villa is set in beautiful grounds with a super pool. The house is very well equipped with six lovely very spacious bedrooms and clean and well fitted shower rooms plus a jacuzzi room (which we did not use).The kitchen has everything you need to feed twelve people and we cooked on most days using supplies from the excellent local Co-op which is only ten minutes drive away. Our hostesses Fiorella and Barbara were quick to respond to any questions and could not have been more helpful. This is a very special place and we would recommend without hesitation. We would certainly return.

Wonderful Villa Belvedere

Three generations of our family enjoyed a wonderful two weeks in Santa Maria a Colle. The villa is beautiful, spacious - with the pool a highlight for all and a perfect location to relax and enjoy the stunning location and nearby Lucca

Brilliant stay for our anniversary celebrations

The Villa was exactly as indicated in advert. The managers provided lots off help, before and during our stay. We loved everything about our holiday from the beautiful villa with fantastic views, to the location and what it has to offer.

Family time

We were a family of four, total 12. Beds worked well, location was good to get to Voltare, Pisa, Florence and Lucca. Kids loved the pool. Yard was gorgeous just to rest and regroup.

Great stay

Everything was great. We played a lot of table tennis. Bring your own balls, the bats are there. Pool is very warm because it is quite shallow. We Loved our stay

Family Vacation

My siblings and spouse (12 total) spent a week at Villa Belvedere and had a fabulous time. The hosts were great and helped us with everything we needed. They were extremely responsive to our communication from beginning to end.

Italian adventure

Wow what a beautiful house set in amazing gardens. Lovely swimming pool. Games for children to play. Lots of seating areas in the sun and in shade. Fabulous place for big family holiday. Great pool was fenced off with lockable gate which made us all feel happier with young children in our group.

Villa Belvedere is a fabulous place for a family holiday.We were a three generation family imcluding three highly active little ones aged from three to six. The children had an amazing time either in the pool or exploring and playing in the beautifully maintained groumds. Everyone had an immensely enjoyable time and we were all sorry to leave. Our thanks go to Barbara, Fiorella and Marta for ensuring everything was in place and for making us feel so welcome.Mike

Summer stay at Villa Belvedere

Eleven of us spent 7 days in this beautiful villa. It was a spacious and elegant place to stay. The owners went out of their way to answer and deal with any of our issues. We had 4 days of 97 degree weather, but the house stayed cool enough. We loved having the pool. The only issue was the internet connection was a bit spotty and frustrating. We were close to Lucca and we fell in love with that city and will return again for a longer stay.

Thanks a lot for this nice feedback. We take care of our guests so that their vacation will be enjoyable. Glad we did. You were here in the hottest week of all, when even the air conditioning seemed to have no power against the heat, but the thick walls of the Villa have been able to keep out the summer heat as they do with the cold of winter. I'm really sorry about the inconvenience with WiFi, because not always a holiday is meant to stay disconnected (even if spotty). Since then I'm still in contact also with the network operator and the problem seems having been solved. Thanks a lot for the kind words about our city Lucca, too. Looking forward to seeing you again maybe during September Lucchese or Lucca comics and games of october!

Beautiful property with room for all 10 of us.

Stayed for our family’s Italian reunion. We were six adults and four children under 12. The grounds and the Villa were beautiful. My four year old granddaughter asked me if a princess used to live here. I told her that one probably did! The owner, Fiorella and her daughter, Barbara were wonderful to work with. Both were very gracious and accommodating. We definitely plan to come back and stay again in a few years. Rosanna ( the Nonna )

A perfect stay in Lucca countryside

Aside from the authentic Italian interior- high wooden cielings, marble staircase, but up to date kitchen, we fell in love with the enchanting landscape- the olive and mandarins trees, the tree lined drive way, bocce ball court, and the outside eating area by the pool. And our hosts, Fiorella and daughter Barbara coins not have been more welcoming and accommodating. We are now have a place we can call “home” in Lucca. Also we discovered the 58 bus line, a five minute walk from the Villa which we took to central Lucca every day. No cares of how or where to park! acco

Funky and fun!!!

We were three generations staying here - including my 89 yr old dad. It has so much space - the rooms are gigantic. Upon arrival we received a tour of the house and grounds by Fiorella and Bàrbara. Their cousin Marta was also there. She works at Momo gelati in Lucca and left us a huge carton of ice cream. Delicious!Our first full day there we had a Mother’s Day lunch with family and friends. The kitchen allows for lots of people prepping and talking at the same time. We spent a beautiful afternoon eating, drinking, and lounging by the pool. Happiness. The grounds are magical and there are lots of outdoor spaces to sit and hang out. It is a 15 min drive into Lucca which is a beautiful town to explore. We ended up exploring the area as well — Pisa, Florence, a beach club in Pietrasanta, up into the Garfagnana, a spa in Bagni di Lucca, and the beautiful town of Pistoia. We also ended eating dinner at local restaurants rather than driving into Lucca — our fave was Osteria di Meati. The house comes with lots of recommendations — restaurants, who to call if you need a taxi, etc. It’s a really fun place to stay and we would go back.

Beautiful Villa

The villa is even better than the photos appear. The host was so friendly and kind, excellent communication too. The villa is a truly stunning example of a lavish residence of the period with wonderful original details. The kitchen was the biggest of all the villas we had stayed at and was well equipped. The gardens were truly stunning and the pool was clean and well looked after. We stayed as two families (4 adults and 3 grown up children) and the accommodation arranged over 2 floors was perfect, not easy to please everyone! Bedroom sizes and bathrooms worked very well for all concerned. To sum up the villa, absolutely ten out of ten! Location, the villa is a short walk to a really good local restaurant which we all enjoyed and would readily recommend. The host also recommended a wonderful and very traditional restaurant overlooking Lucca which was fantastic (only issue was limited veggie options). The stunning walled city of Lucca is just a short drive away (15 - 20 minutes to a good cheap car park). We could not recommend this gorgeous villa enough, anyone planning a trip with family and or friends could not want for more. We will be back!

Run Don't Walk to Book This Lovely Villa

Villa Belvedere was by far the most beautiful property we have ever rented. Every room was so spacious. We were a party of 6 and had so much room to afford each of us the privacy we required. Each bedroom has it's own personality and each were giant. Same with the bathrooms. Both kitchens were huge. We cooked only in the main one on the ground level. It had all the pans / appliances we needed. We cooked a fair amount and loved dining either is the great room or outside. Speaking of the outside the grounds were stunning. 3 months prior to our trip I had my knee replaced. I loved doing my exercises outside. I different place each day. Perfect gardens for yoga as well. After a day of sight seeing it was wonderful to come home to the pool. This was the first time that we did not want to come home from a vacation. I did not want to leave this Villa. It was close to 2 restaurants and an easy 10 minute drive to Lucca. We also did many day trips as the location is close to many other places to discover. I cannot recommend this property enough for a family or group of friends that want a gracious place to stay with a wonderful hostess, Fiorella who made many excellent recommendations and answered many questions.

The most amazing Villa

Please run dont walk to book this most amazing Villa. Earlier this month our party of 8 had the privilege to be able to stay there for a week for a special birthday celebration. Right from the initial booking contact to a lovely follow up after we checked out, Fifi & Barbara were so wonderful to deal with. Nothing was too much trouble & they were very patient in answering all of our questions. They also put us in touch with the most amazing caterers at “Cooking in Toscana” who did an absolutely delicious 4 course birthday dinner complete with wine. The villa itself, the surrounding gardens & the pool far exceeded what we had hoped from the listing. We had so much fun in the pool & playing bocce in the designated area overlooking the olive groves & tuscan hills. The table tennis was also enjoyed. The villa was simply stunning & had everything we needed to make our stay so memorable. We only used the downstairs kitchen & aside from the catered birthday dinner (the caterers cooked it all there), we cooked delicious dinners enjoyed around the long dining table every night. There were fabric insect screens outside the windows which did a great job of keeping the mosquitoes away. We did not want to leave this beautiful place at the end of the stay and cannot thank Fifi & Barbara & “Cooking in Toscana” (Tze’ela & Mauro) for making our dream come true. One very happy birthday girl & her family & friends, all from Australia who still can’t stop smiling! Bellissimo🌟

Trip of a Lifetime

April 1, 2022-April 30, 2022 and April 30, 2022-May 14, 2022 Just returned from our six weeks stay at Villa Belvedere. It was a magical time that we shared with family and friends. Over the course of the six weeks we welcomed 25 others to share this experience with us. From the moment we entered the property I felt like WOW "is this real?" The property is truly stunning and the Villa was amazing. There were times when there were 13 of us at the house, but even when it was just me and my husband it was homey and that's strange to say about a place that's over 5,000 sq. ft. Our children, grandchildren, other family and friends that came were very adventurous, here are some of the places they visited; Venice, Florence, San Gimignano. Siena, Cinque Terra, Bologna, Parma, Moderna, Volterra, Montecatini, Viareggio. Some were day trips and some overnight. Of coarse we went into Lucca many times and had wonderful meals, the Florentine Steak is fantastic. We also cooked at the Villa and that was a group effort with great food, many laughs and so many wonderful memories. I just want to express how much we loved staying on this Beautiful Property and how gracious the Italian people were to all of us. Fiorella and her daughters Alessia and Barbara are amazing and we cannot thank them enough for their kindness I will not forget them. If you are lucky enough to stay here enjoy the view from the upstairs kitchen window! Thank you Fiorella, Alessia and Barbara for making this dream vacation possible.

We loved our stay at the Villa. Such great character in the Property and our host was very helpful. We visited Lucca several times and also the local restaurant in the village where the staff were very friendly too. We look forward to returning someday.
