Honeymoon on Crete

Amazing sunset view!

First time using VRBO and stumbled upon this property. Very impressed and would definitely come back. Mario is always ready to answer questions and always very helpful. We love the views, especially at sunset.

Fantatstic Villa. Breathtaking View

We spent 12 days at this Villa. Everything was perfect. The amenities, the pool, the view. Mario was very available and responded quickly to all our requests. He was a great Host. We will definitely come back.

Wonderful stay!

Beautiful and very clean villa. Amazing sunsets! Very peaceful location which we enjoyed very much. This also means that you have to drive a bit (windy roads) to the next supermarkets and restaurants. Beautiful pebble beaches with crystal clear water can be reached within 5-8 minutes by car. Amazing sand beaches are 45 minutes away. Our kids aged 6 and 3 loved the outdoor space and the pool. On one end of the pool our 6 year old could stand which was great.

Delightful !

This is a gem! In the mountains with a spectacular ocean view from the hot tub and from the infinity pool! The villa was a stunning stone building with everything you would ever need. Mario was very attentive and helped us with anything we needed. We found an authentic Taverna in Kampos called Lefteris with delicious traditionall dishes and daily meat on a spit specials. I would highly recommend this to anyone who needs some R&R.

Worth the commute! Local Gem.

Although the property was not very close to the airport and the drive was on the mountainside, we thoroughly enjoyed every minute of our stay! We chose this villa for the location that is more remote and gives us an authentic experience on western Crete. We got just that. Mario was very welcoming and his communication was top notch. He had many great suggestions and the villa was perfect for relaxing every day after our adventures. We so enjoyed the locals and the culture surrounding this villa. We went to several beaches nearby and local tavernas and never had a bad experience. The food, the people, and the Raki were great!

Quiet Retreat

Great place to get away from everything. The villa was great. If you are looking for a quiet, remote place, this is an ideal location. It's located only 20 minutes from Elafonisi beach, 45 from Kissa mos, and 90 from Chania. The roads to the villa are.very narrow and steep, but picturesque. There is literally no traffic in the area of the villa, you might hear a car once every hour pass by. Mario is very responsive to ant issues or needs. If you stay here, I recommend going up the hill for dinner. We tried restaurants on both sides and found that Lefterias in Campos was above and beyond with service, friendliness, and the food was incredible.

Wonderful West Crete

We had a fantastic 2 weeks at Villa Aretousa. The view every evening watching the sun set over the sea is something that we will never forget. The pool is a good size and well maintained and there are good spaces with comfortable loungers to sun bathe. The Villa was well equipped and immaculately clean. Cleaning staff visited twice per week and did a very good job. The local manager was extremely good, attentive and very quick to respond to any questions we had. I would highly recommend this Villa The Villa is set in a fairly remote location, it is approximately 1 hour drive from the main town of kissamos, with most of that on winding roads on the side of the hills, depending on your point of view the drive is either stunning or scary. There is a local taverna 5 minutes by car that was very good, and there is a small mini market and some other restaurants about 20 minutes drive down the coast, which is a beautiful stoney beach that has nobody on it.

Pool und Villa einfach traumhaft - bei Ankunft spät abends war sogar der Kühlschrank für ein tolles Frühstück gefüllt - selbst Obst und Kaffee waren vorhanden - absolut keine Selbstverständlichkeit - toller und super schneller Kontakt zum Gastgeber - Villa wurde während des Aufenthalts sogar von einem Cleaning-Team gereinigt - unvergleichlich schöne Sonnenuntergänge - wir kommen gerne wieder

Séjours tres agréable a Keramoti villa. Mario et l'équipe très disponible. La villa est très bien équipées, la piscine est juste incroyable avec la vue sur la mer. On ne se lasse pas des couchers de soleil ! Super vacances en famille.

Ruhe und Natur

Wir hatten eine herrliche Woche in der Villa. Wer Abenteuer und Party sucht, ist hier fehl am Platz. Das Grundstück lädt ein zum ausruhen, lesen, schwimmen und nichts tun. Für unsere 13jährigen Zwillinge war es manchmal sogar langweilig. Leider funktionierte der Fernseher nicht und wir konnten das EM Fußball Finale nicht sehen. Zur nächsten Taverne muss man mit dem Auto fahren und auch zu den Stränden. Insgesamt war es ein sehr schöner Urlaub.war

Dear Bettina, Thank you for your review and your kind words and I am very glad you enjoyed your stay! Some things we have to point out based on your comments are that the TV was fixed the next day after you mentioned that it did not work. Also, there are a lot of options for tavernas around the area which you have to drive to, but there are also a couple of them who have the option to deliver your order directly to the villa so it is not mandatory to drive. It was very nice having you as guests and we hope to see you some other time in the future! Enjoy the rest of your summer!

Das Haus und die Lage mit dem wunderbaren Meerblick war atemberaubend! Suche den Fehler … es gibt praktisch keine Infrastruktur! Der Weg zur nächst gelegenen Taverne (eine von zweien, die ohne abenteuerliche Bergstraße erreichbar war) nur mit Auto möglich! Der nächste Minimarket mit sehr eingeschränktem Angebot 20 min entfernt! Das Meer hat man vor der Tür, man kann aber fast nicht hineingehen, weil es riesige Steine gibt, selbst wenn man das schafft kann man nicht verweilen, weil es natürlich keine Liegen gibt! Der Strand von Elafonissi ist mit tausenden Menschen überfüllt, der Strand von Falarssana ist traumhaft, über eine Bergstraße in 45 min erreichbar! Für Kleinkinder und auch Jugendliche ungeeignet! Wir haben das Beste daraus gemacht und uns trotzdem sehr erholt! Der Manager Mario war sehr bemüht!

Perfekt zum Entschleunigen

Die Villa ist wunderschön, etwas abgelegener in den Bergen, alles ist in der Villa vorhanden was man braucht und sogar Lieferung aus der Taverne in näherer Umgebung ist möglich. Man kann in aller Ruhe griechisches essen bei wundervollen Sonnenuntergang genießen. Zum Einkaufen muss man etwas länger fahren, allerdings hat Mario auch angeboten einige Sachen mitbringen zu lassen! Bester Service! Tolle Ferien!

Wonderful holiday

We had a great stay in the October break. We were lucky and the weather was amazing for the majority of the holiday. Kids loved the pool and we were able to relax knowing where they were. We visited some local caves - which were good and also the beautiful Elafonissi Beach… both worth a visit! The only downside of the location was that supermarkets and tavernas are a drive away. Mini-markets are a lot further along the meandering roads - so ensure you stock up at a bigger supermarket. Mario offers to buy small amounts when needed though, which is an option. Overall we had a great stay and would love to return. The house is perfect for a week holiday!

Es war alles super!

Wir hatten eine sehr schöne Zeit in diesem wunderbaren Haus. Wenn man Ruhe sucht , findet man diese. Sehr gefreut haben wir uns über die Lebensmittel. Danke. Da wir Nachts angereist sind, war dies eine super Überraschung. Erstes Frühstück war gerettet. Leider ging die Sauna nicht. Aber das war nicht so schlimm.

Eine große Freude

Für uns perfekte Lage (Ruhe!) Die Gastgeberin sehr zuvorkommend Essen durch das Restaurant geliefert Einkäufe hat die Gastgeberin erledigt Einfach alles perfekt, bis auf die Zufahrtstrasse - die letzten ca. 20 km sind wirklich nur für starke Nerven!

Magique

Villa d’un grand confort mais surtout d’une exposition et d’une vue inoubliable. A l’écart de tout, lieu très sauvage avec des prestations de haut standing. Chaque coucher de soleil est un spectacle unique. Très proche d’elafonisi. Attention à bien prévoir pour les courses et l’essence car très isolé. Une parenthèse enchantée même avec le vent.

Ruhe und Intimität in der Natur
