Short night

Place was exactly what we needed for a one night stay during bowling. It was clean, spacious and comfortable. Fred (the owner) was easy to communicate with and always quick to respond. Highly recommend this home.

Great place.

This is a great place. Heated garage is really nice in winter. The owner is great guy. Forest in back yard with deer and wildlife yet groceries and restaurants blocks away. A definite 10

Highly recommended!

We just needed an overnight stay while moving to another state. It was so peaceful, beautiful, and comforting. We slept great, had everything we needed, and left on our journey refreshed. Fred was gracious and accommodating to our unique situation at the time. Thank you!!

Unique, clean and cozy

We were just passing through and actually wished we could stay longer because the place was so inviting. Comfortable beds, great shower and laundry. Very cool set up and beautifully decorated.

Very Nice Wausau Apartment

I stayed here on the way home from a guys trip of hiking and backpacking in the UP. The apartment is spacious, clean and very comfortable. Shower was very nice and beds were comfortable. Quiet and in a good neighborhood. I’ll definitely stay here again should I come this way.

Perfect stay at Fred’s place. Peaceful surroundings, nice beds for a good night sleep. Handy with the garage attached to the guesthouse. Fred is a great host👍.

Quick Girls night

A group of college girlfriends met for a quick get together at a central location. The space was perfect for us to crash for a night after being out for the day.

Wausau Paradise

This is our second time staying with Fred while attending WSPA in Wausau. The property is exactly as stated, Fred even let us trailer a pool table up to set up in the garage for the weekend. Could not ask for a better property or host

Great stay!

We had a great night night in Wausau with friends thanks to Fred's great vrbo! There was plenty of room for each couple, a great seating area to hang out in and a crazy huge TV to watch a movie on. Fred is nice enough to be working on getting a sweatshirt sent back to me that I forgot that I had just bought in Costa Rica. Such a nice place and nice host!

Just what we needed

This place was perfect for us. Although the bedrooms are not private, we made it work. The little fireplace was nice and kept my grandson warm. Beds were comfortable and it's a nice comfy place. Thanks Fred for your hospitality.

Park-like setting

We stayed 3 nights because Wausau was an easy drive to visit 2 different friends and for my husband to go birding. The crowning glory of this rental is the absolutely gorgeous back yard with water feature and ample seating. It was like having our own, private park.

Second Stay!

Love the two car drive in garage that goes straight into the whole finished basement! Love the stone landscaped backyard that always has deer in the morning roaming! Great communication! Always clean! Amazing spot to stay in Wausau for a very reasonable price for up to 6 people! Believe It! All the Best! Free coffee too always a plus!

Comfortable and inviting

I stayed at this property with my two children (ages 8 and 2) and my brother. My brother and I grew up in central Wisconsin, but currently live in different cities. This property provided plenty of space for us to spread out and enjoy our privacy and personal space, as well as a comfortable and cozy space to be together and visit. The outdoor garden area welcomed a family of deer each morning and evening during our visit, which my daughters loved to see. The property was easy to find, and provided quick access to the greater Wausau area as well as an easy drive to Merrill. Fred was a great and responsive host. One thing I will point out is that while this property provides a large bathroom, it is a shower only and there is no bathtub. The shower is large, but I mention this only because of other families who may have children who would prefer a tub. This wasn't something I thought about when picking this property and it certainly wouldn't be a deal breaker in the future. That is, if we were to visit the area again, I would book this property again! I highly recommend this home away from home if you're traveling as a family.

Fall Hunting Accomodations

This is my second time staying here. He's got a great house and garden in a lovely neighborhood. I hope to stay there again next year.

Emphasis is cleanliness, house is newly carpeted, remodeled with new furniture. The floor plan is extensive with 4 rooms total, located in beautiful setting close to everything. There is plenty of drawers, coat racks and other storage areas. Exceptional, private, very clean 2 car heated garage which is for guest use only. In fall and winter, garage is heated to 65 degrees. House has 24 hr fresh air ventalator system ensuring a fresh air atmosphere even in winter. Also house has new soft water system for extremely soft, comfortable shower.
