The house was perfect for our girl's weekend in the Wausau area! The host got back to us right away when we had questions. They were very kind and understanding in an illness situation. I would give them an 11/10!

It was very nice and clean. It made me feel like I was visiting grandma, old school charm. The host got bad to me very quickly on questions, which I really felt comfortable with.

This was our second stay at this location. We have family in the area and the location is perfect for us. Highly recommend sledding at George Street Park. Also, check out the skating rink there.The house was warm and cozy. Very inviting. Glen is the perfect host. He was available if needed, responded quickly to our questions, but was not overbearing. We will definitely stay here again.

Great location for both biking and hiking!

My husband and I were able to escape for a weekend without kids so choose to visit the Wausau area for it's fantastic mtn biking at 9 Mile Recreation Area and hiking at Rib Mtn State Park. We choose this home to rent for it's close proximity to both and it's reasonable price for what you got. We were very pleasantly pleased with it's charm, cleanliness and the fact that it came fully equipped so we didn't have to bring so much from home. The owners were fantastic to work with and were even available throughout the weekend via text when we had questions on things to do and where to eat. We look forward to visiting the area again and staying at this same home again in the future!

Good Overall Stay

I brought my teenage sons and their friends for a few days of snowboarding at Granite Peak. When not at the hill, we found the house to be relaxing and comfortable, with plenty of space for the six of us. The house was missing a cot, so we did have to buy an air mattress. Many items in the house should be replaced or updated, especially given the price for rental, but despite that, we enjoyed our time here enough that we would likely come back.

Clean but pricey for what it was

The house was clean but certainly dated. Could use some updates (ie fridge, shower heads). The upstairs bedrooms were very hot compared to the rest of the house. Instructions said to text before arrival and after leaving but I never got a text back. Most VRBOs I’ve stayed in at least have some toiletries (shampoo/body wash) and some basic condiments (butter, seasonings) available which isn’t a big deal but surprised me. The neighborhood seemed safe but the house is right across from a train track so not the quietest place to sleep. For the price, I had higher expectations.

Very nice people, very understanding and helpful when the A/C guy needed to get into the home to complete a repair.

Peaceful

It was a nice stay. It was A little difficult to communicate with the owner because the number on line is not right from the person who texted me they gave me the right number. But other than that it was a nice house and it was a nice stay.

Quiet neighborhood

We had a great time in town and the house was a nice place to stay. Island kitchen was a nice place to hang out, talk and listen to music…loudly! You could barely hear anything upstairs. Older property that could’ve used a couple new shower heads but overall great for our group of five.

Good Overall. Too warm upstairs.

Really liked the property and the cleanliness. Had a great living area, bedrooms, and 2 full bathrooms. The owner is super friendly and arrangements were easy and clear. The only reason I am not giving it a 5 star rating is the temperature on the 2nd floor... it was to warm. Probably not an issue in the winter months, but uncomfortable in the summer. There was an air conditioner on the bottom that worked great, but a warm upstairs. Otherwise great experience.

Average-could be better

We had a few hiccups with this rental. To start, they double booked for our stay. They accepted our reservation from vrbo and another from a different site for overlapping dates. When I contacted them about checking in, this error was discovered. I however had to do the leg work. The manager passed me off to vrbo to correct their mistake. In the end they honored my reservation which I appreciated. The house is fine, nothing fancy, a little run down. The smoke alarms did not work, they brought one over upon request. Overall, It was good for what we needed. There was also confusion about the cleaning fee. I was under the impression that it was refundable, so we cleaned everything before we left, but did not receive a refund. Not a big deal but something to be aware of.

Nice property in a quiet neighborhood

This house is a charming little house in a quiet neighborhood. It was very clean, and it was also conveniently located for what we wanted to do - like visiting family and touring some of the local sites. The only problem we had was that when we arrived, the water wasn't turned on to the house. But when we called, the owners answered right away and let us know that sometimes they turn the main water valve off, and the maid forgot to turn it back on. So they walked us through the very easy process of finding the right valve over the phone and we had water again in no time. We were happy with their responsiveness. Overall it was a good house for our short stay in the area.

Perfect house for our ski trip. Close to the hill and enough space for everyone.

We enjoyed staying at the house. The only thing that we will do next time is bring an air mattress, the pull out couch was a little uncomfortable. But overall Everyone loved it.

Good value for your money

We stayed in the house with our friends during ski season, end of December. Owners where friendly and quickly resolved various challenges we had during the stay. Great location very near Granite Peak Skiing. The house smelled a bit stuffy and it comfortable sleeps 8 people, sleeping spots for the other 2 were not usable. Owners need to do some additional fixing work. If you are planning to cook, be aware that kitchen is not very well equipped. For example it didn't have any condiments and we had to ask for basic things like mixing bowls and a can opener. Likely these problems were remediated since our stay.

Yes, you are correct in assuming that we remedied the issues you brought to our attention. Thank you for bringing them to us in a timely manner during your stay. We now have mixing bowls, a can opener and a frying pan available for our guests' use. We also have a number of condiments, such as salt and pepper available as well. As you mentioned, we will continue to accommodate and address all situations and issues that come up with each of our individual guests as promptly and expediently as we are able to. Winter ski trip 2016

This house was a great way to end 2016 and start a new year! We were there with two other families. It slept 10 of us very comfortably. We went skiing to Granite Peak 3 days and tubing one day. I would definitely recommend staying here. If you plan on skiing the house is literally 6 miles from Granite Peak.
