Enjoy the lake life and relax at Bally K, a cozy 3-bedroom cottage on a secluded 1.5-acre waterfront lot. 28 mins from downtown Charlotte, 5 minutes from I-77, in the gold zone for retail and amenities.

This is a low-slope lot. Everybody gets easy access to the water. No steps to climb at the dock, no steps to climb to get home.

Recently renovated with a new kitchen, hardwood floors, and new furnishings. Covered and screened-in porch with dining area. Open deck with great views of the lake.

30' x 30' floating dock. Deepwater lot with 12' - 18' of water at the pier, depending on the season. (12' in winter) Covered gazebo located over the water to enjoy those Lake Norman sunsets.

Get unlimited use of the 4 kayaks and the 2 stand-up paddleboards, all free with rental. Launch them from the dock or the sandy beach at the water's edge. Swim in the safe and protected private bay, no boat traffic, perfect for children of all ages.

Bring your boat, and put it in at Haggar Creek public access. Navigate less than 1/2 a mile back to our pier, and tie it up in the private boat slip.

Time Warner cable with Disney, Nick, Nick Jr, Boomerang, and all of the kid channels. Play Station, Wii, with lots of games. Great place for kids to enjoy their summer vacation.

Free broadband WiFi

10 min drive to Target, Best Buy, Sam's, Wall-Mart, Dick's, Belk's, and more. 10-minute drive to great food or take your boat to one of the many lakefront restaurants.

The house is located in a residential neighborhood. At no time are parties or events permitted on the property.

We have been coming here for several years. It’s a good quiet location and only 10 mins from grocery stores and restaurants. The home is comfortable and has the amenities you need. We’ll be back next time…

This property was heavenly!! No stairs, so my 82 year old mom was safe. Everything we needed for the stay was handy, which is quite rare. No clean-up was required, although we did our best anyway. And the lake view was worth a bazillion dollars!! Thank you Timothy!! We hope to stay again next year!!

It was a wonderful Lakehouse that was very well done. Kitchen was fully capable of you are a foodie…The entire place was impeccably clean. All the details were paid attention too with this property. A ton of stuff to do around there or just chill there. It was a great experience.

The epitome of the difference between paying attention to details vs the bare minimum. They left us a beautiful note and Some sweets to welcome us. Almost anything we forgot was available to us. An incredibly clean and well taken care of space. The perfect view. Not a single bug. Not only will we be returning next year, half of us are planning to come back with just our families. We love this property!

Wonderful stay as always! We look forward to being at Bally K every year, and are always impressed with the hosts and the whole experience! We had some rain this year, but it didn't put a damper on us, we just hung out in the fabulous screened in porch, or headed down to the covered dock area where our son got some great fishing in. We also went to Southern Distillery this year, and I highly recommend it. It's only about 30 minutes away and a fun way to spend a couple of hours if the sun isn't out. Thank you for sharing your cute cottage, and providing years of memory making for us! See you next year!

Another amazing stay at Bally K:) We love the cozy cottage and the nature around it. Lovely scenery just looking out of the patio with lake view. The cottage is always clean upon arrival and decorated accordingly which gives out a homey vibe. Thank you for accommodating us again and hope to visit soon!

The home was well laid out. We felt small with only 2 of us and 3 bedrooms. Kitchen had everything we needed. Shower had good pressure and multiple heads. View was amazing. Trips were easy to navigate.

The cottage was perfect! Very clean and comfortable. It was so cozy that we felt like we were home! The lake property is amazing even though a cold front hit right when we got there. We had a fire in the fire pit that is located right by the water! We will definitely stay here again!

Rest and Relaxation

We loved our stay at this property. We had everything we needed and loved lounging on the dock and swimming in the lake. This vacation was the most relaxed I've ever seen my husband. We would definitely stay here again!

We have been staying at BallyK for past several years and will be back. Great location; quiet, good lake view and access, convenient grocery store and restaurants. Easy checking in and out process and the family that owns BallyK are helpful and super nice.

Born in Ireland, Tom and Katie lived and worked all over the world. Their 2 children attended American schools in Saudi Arabia, Thailand, and Indonesia.

Although they traveled extensively, they always called Charlotte home. Now retired, they spend part of the year at their home in Mooresville, and the rest in Northern Ireland.

Bally K was purchased in 1982 as a vacation home. Both Tom and Katie have a passion for hosting. Since owning a chain of boutique motels seemed out of reach, (and a lot of work) Bally K Cottage was born.
