Built in 2015, the "lodge" is on the upper floor of beautiful new building. Because it is a second story, prepare yourself to climb a flight of16 steps. The view is worth every step!

Fully furnished with 850 square feet of living space, the lodge has everything you need to be your home away from home. Enjoy sunsets, bird watching and the myriad ships passing up and down the mighty Columbia from your wood deck!

The Lower Columbia River is a nature lover's paradise. Enjoy some of the best fishing, sailing and relaxing in the Pacific Northwest. The "Lodge" is the perfect home base to explore and take it all in.

The island is very quiet and peaceful. The property is right on the water its really nice. And the owner michael is a super nice guy

Spacious

Beautiful little spot. Lots of windows and light. Roomy and spacious. Property manager very easy to work with and was quickly available to accommodate real time questions.

favorite spot

We have stayed here before. It is perfect when we come to visit family on the island. My old knees may not like the stairs but the rest of me loves the view from the deck. Great sun rises and sun sets overlooking the island.

Very nice

We had a small hot water problem and manager owner was right on top of it. Came out on a holiday weekend on a Sunday and fixed it. Location was great and very nice. I would recommend this liaction

Great Getaway!

The instructions to enter this wonderful VRBO were easy and it is a great place to go and relax, fish and hang out. The island is a fun place to drive around and there is a nice beach just down the road. I would definitely return and do this again!! The host was always prompt to answer my questions and the place was very clean and accommodating! Thanks SO much Michael!!!

Charming!!!

This is a super cute studio style apartment with great views on a very quiet island in the middle of the Columbia River. Check in was a breeze and Michael was very easy to reach. The bed is super comfortable and there is everything you need to have a nice stay! I’ll be back next time I come to that area!!

A quiet getaway

I wanted to find a quiet and calm place for my boys and I to relax and connect during this busy season of life. This place was perfect. It was clean, comfortable, stocked with games. Michael was a great host and very responsive to any needs.

nice place

Nice place on the water. My sister and I went to visit family on the island. My brother was able to join us at the last minute. I notified Michael of the additional quest, he said no problem enjoy your stay. Great view of the island with the rental on the second floor. Saw lots of eagles and osprey from the balcony.

Hidden Jewel on the Columbia Waterway

My Chinese Girlfriend and I (Eric & Hongliu) stayed at this wonderful Oasis on an Island Next to Cathlamet WA and easy access to Westport Oregon via a cute little ferry ride. When we arrived and got into the home my girlfriends was so delighted she started singing, dancing and humming about. The place was wonderful and the weather was perfect for outdoor barbq on the sturdy fully furnished deck and grilling equipment. We had choices to Drive to Astoria and the coast or take the short ferry ride to Oregon. All the Pacific Ocean beaches were within driving range. The House came with a fully furnished modern kitchen and dining room area. the living room area had multiple places to sleep more than 6. The Bedroom king bed was vey comfortable and plenty of Clean Linens and Towels. Compared to renting a hotel on the coast this VRBO is worth every penny spent. The property owner is very friendly and accommodating We will deffinatly rent this VRBO again:)

Off the beaten path gem

Looking for a place that is a little off the tourist track AND close enough to sightsee? Michael’s house is that. You’ll need a vehicle but the area is unique and you can take cool little ferry to the island if you want, bridge too! The house has a great view of a channel for morning outside breakfast/meals, or just hanging out. Boats floating by each morning was pretty cool. Property is as advertised, no surprises and communication was great. Cathlemet has a few restaurants and a nice little grocery store if you need it. Would stay again

Loved the Island

If you are looking to literally "get away from it all", this is your place to stay. The island is quiet and not busy at all. Very laid back. There is the small town of Cathlamet if you need some supplies or a craft beer. Other than that, we explored the island, watched wildlife and really just relaxed.

Quiet Island Stay

We stayed three nights at this top-floor rental. It met our needs perfectly. Michael is a great Host. We were using it as a base for kayaking in the Columbia River. It's an excellent place for that. We loved the community of Cathlamet, which is just a short drive away. It's a cute town. We also took the ferry across the Columbia that leaves Puget Island every hour. We will be back again.

This place was rather adorable! Water right out front. Super relaxing. I wish there WIFI had worked but in the end we had a great time for my husbands birthday and well definitely come back here. We've already recommended this place to others.

As Always...

A wonderful time. Steaks on the Weber, watching a redtail hawk divebombed by starlings, and enjoying goose politics (two couples, one of them interspecies) on the opposite shore. Avian drama in a peaceful and beautiful place.... as always. 😊
