Edge of Old Village, close to shops, park and beach; ferry discounts
The Coach House is a traditional stone cottage, forming part of the original coach house and stable block to Upper Chine House, later converted as part of Upper Chine School, and for more than 25 years, available as a self catering unit.
The Coach House provides comfortable and spacious accommodation for up to 6 guests, comprising a King-bed Bedroom with ensuite shower, a further double Bedroom, and a Bunk room. The beds benefit from superior mattresses and feather duvets, mattress toppers and pillows to provide a luxurious night. A travel cot is also available.
On the ground floor is a Family Bathroom with bath & shower over, a delightful Sitting Room and a well equipped Kitchen. A high chair is available. There is also a Conservatory giving access to a patio garden overlooking Shanklin Chine. The whole cottage is warmed by gas fired central heating.

The Coach House is a beautiful property fitted out with everything you need. The location is amazing with a large park opposite and a lovely short walk to the Old Village and the beach. Jill is a wonderful host, would highly recommend.

We had a lovely few days here - we were out enjoying Shanklin & Sandown most of the time, but The Coach House was a great base for a few days.

Wonderful house
On arrival we were given a warm welcomed by Jill who made us feel at home. The house is lovely and in a brilliant position for visiting the island.

Wonderful family holiday with godfather
The property is spacious and has a well equipped kitchen. We enjoyed the conservatory a lot and beds and bathrooms were excellent. Would love to come back.

Such a lovely property. Handy for the best bits the island has to offer, sparkling clean, wonderful communication with Jill, and just a really lovely place to stay.

The cottage had everything we needed and more.
Beautiful cottage surrounded by trees and fields. Very comfortable and clean, only 10 minutes walk to places to eat, and shop. Everything that you need is in this beautiful cottage, plus the owner is so very nice.

Easter on Isle of Wight
We had a lovely stay at the Coach House. Everything was as described and we had ample space for four adults. We had everything we needed for the long weekend.
Really enjoyed our stay here and on the island - thank you Jill!

Perfect!!
The Coach House was perfect for our stay in Shanklin. The cottage was very clean, well equipped and in a great location within easy walking distance of the beach and the old village. Jill the owner greeted us when we arrived which was a lovely touch and she was happy to help with any questions we had during our stay. We will definitely stay at the Coach House again if we return to Shanklin.

Although there is a key-safe for a self check-in when this is required, the personal touch is important for us as it establishes a more personal contact should you need our assistance during your holiday. We hope to see you on the Isle of Wight again.

A lovely roomy house. Well equiped with comfortable beds.

Short break
Suited our needs well. Especially liked the availability of a boogie board, wind break and bucket and spade. Easy walk to the village and a good walk to the beach but a steep walk back.

Wonderful stay in beautiful property and great location
The Coach House was clean and tidy and tastefully furnished throughout. Every little thing you might need to feel at home is supplied.
Peaceful location just outside the Shanklin old village (within 10 mins walk) with lovely park opposite.
Jill is a marvelous host providing great communication and welcoming us personally.
Thoroughly recommended for a stay in the Isle of Wight!
