Right on the beach, wonderful views of the ocean, great house!

This is a classic Carolina coast four bedroom home built on stilts, right on the beach front in Oak Island, North Carolina. Down the steps and you are on the beach. There are four bedrooms and two full bathrooms. There is a laundry room downstairs. The whole house was remodeled and all new furniture was purchased in 2016. We are remodeling both bathrooms in Fall 2018. The front room is wide open and with wonderful views of the ocean. We love this place and are sure you will enjoy it, too. The house sleeps 11 people on 3 queen beds, and five single beds (two bunkbeds). There is a futon in the front room. We have had fun vacationing here for 20 years and we're sure that you and your family will enjoy it, too.

*During the high season in May, June, July, August and September we ask guests to book their stay for a minimum of 7 nights with a Saturday to Saturday check-in and check-out

Great stay

This is our second time renting this house. We love how it’s just a step away from the beach, the layout of the house is perfect for our family of 9 and the communication with the owner can’t be beat. We have already booked our stay for next year!! Can’t wait!!

Great beach house!

Great beach access & views

Our multi-generational family had a great time at this house. It is very close to the beach—super easy access! The layout of the house worked well for our group of 8. We enjoyed the views from the big windows, cooking in the well-stocked kitchen, and working the puzzles. The deck is the perfect spot to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. We had a very comfortable vacation! Thank you!

What a view!

This property has an amazing view! The location is so convenient, and the big scenic windows allow you to look out at the ocean throughout your stay. The porch was great to watch the waves and have adult time after the kids went down. We had a few minor issues, but the owners were very responsive. Would recommend for a quiet beach getaway right on the shore!

Great Location, Great aowmers

Comfortable house for family of 8. Plenty of room and nice arrangements of beds. Kitchen has literally everything you need. Really appreciated condiments and spices left. Small but fun assortment of puzzles and games. Great porch overlooking ocean. Appreciated kayaks and life vests. Loved very short walk to shoreline.

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Oak Island. The home owners were so gracious and accommodating. The home is beautiful, clean, and well maintained. And of course the view of the ocean was absolutely amazing! We look forward to staying again in the future!

Everything you need!

We had a wonderful two weeks at this beach front house. It was spacious enough for our family of 5! I enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen- they have everything from crab crackers to a muffin pan. They also have lots of sand toys/buckets/boogie boards in the downstairs laundry room. We had a blast and can’t wait to return for our 4th trip to this home.

Wonderful house... Fabulous views!

This is a dream house... It had everything we needed and more. The owners were great and renting was easy. This house is right on the beach and there are beautiful views from the house and from the front porch, too. The main room is big and open and perfect for families vacationing together. There is a huge TV and a sound bar, too. We can't wait to come back to this house!!!

Clean, comfortable, adorable

House was clean, adorable, easy beach access, comfortable furniture and beds, and had a lot of pantry items in the house which made you feel right at home. I couldn’t believe how close it was to the water. Everything was easy. Would definitely go back.

Best view

The house was a perfect fit for us. It rained a couple days and with the view from the table, we were able to see the ocean while playing board games. The kitchen is FULLY stocked! We’ve rented some places that only had the bare minimum but this house has it all. I keep going back to the view. It’s amazing! We would stay again just for the view!

Amazing home!

The house was absolutely amazing and is exactly as described. The kitchen was very well equipped for cooking full breakfasts and dinners. The living space easily accommodated our whole family for game nights. The bedrooms were very nice and comfortable and having two full bathrooms was so helpful! The laundry room was full of beach goodies that our kids loved playing with. The location was perfect, the house outstanding, and the view….incredible! The owner was quick with responses and helpful!

Spacious, well equipped beach box

We had an excellent week here and would absolutely stay again. Like other reviewers the living room is more spacious than pictured. My husband and I actually slept on the bed in the living room since our toddler isn't great at sharing a room yet. A bed in the living sounds weird but it's a perfect place to watch the ocean through the huge windows and relax or take a nap. The place was very well stocked. No major complaints and would absolutely stay here again!

Excellent beach front in November

We had a lovely time at this beach rental. The owners were very helpful. Our favorite part was being so close to the ocean and all of the amenities (stocked kitchen and laundry). It is perfect for kids being on one floor and the outdoor shower was a plus. The only negatives that we had were some loud pressure washing and construction next door and the house down from that but it didn’t ruin our fun (or the kids sleeping 😊). We also struggled with ants in the kitchen but it was pretty normal for a beach location! We will certainly stay at this house again.

Love this home

First off, the host are exceptionally nice and worked with us and answered any questions. We had a few kinks to start but nothing they didn’t resolve right away. The property is beautiful and way more spacious in person than it looks in the pictures and when I tell you the owners are 100% right when they say all you need to bring is a toothbrush… they ain’t lying. 10/10

Great View and House!

I would definitely stay here again! The view from the porch and living room was fantastic, the house was right on the beach. There were ample chairs for use on the porch as well as down at the beach. The house was very spacious and well stocked. Linens were SUPER soft and towels very plush. Plenty of blankets and pillows were provided as well. Everything you could need was stocked in the kitchen and there was enough seating around the table for my group of 8. Bathrooms were nice with good water pressure, comfort height toilets, and plenty of light. The house was clean and the owners were very responsive both before and during the vacation! I hope to return here.

Was truly amazing

This property was way more than we even expected. It had a lot more amenities than were listed. The property worked wonderful for the 8 people in our group. There were plenty of extras to enjoy the beach with. House was very close to the beach. The four bedrooms were great in allowing people to have there own space with a great living room and tv to enjoy the evenings together. Kitchen had everything you would need to make just about anything you wanted. We couldn't have asked for more in a home away from home coming from south dakota. Would rent this again and suggest it to anyone!!!

Fantastic Experience

We absolutely loved staying at Casa Martita. Kevin was amazing to work with and answered all my questions in a timely manner. We were concerned about traveling during Covid but felt much better after we arrived. The house was spotless and smelled so clean upon arrival. The kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed cooking in every night. The beds were comfy. No issues with frig or AC as we have encountered at other rentals. But most important is the view. The view was what made the house !! We will definitely look forward to returning to this lovey home in Oak Island. Thank you Kevin!!

Lovely & Well Appointed

This rental is lovely and very well appointed - It sits far enough back from the water that others on the beach don't disturb your enjoyment of it, and is close enough to take a few steps down to the beach. The low dunes out front provide privacy without interfering with your view of the ocean. The house is light and airy. The decor is tasteful and there are plenty of blankets and pillows to make your stay more comfortable. The fact that there are 2 bathrooms in the space is delightful - and all the bedrooms have their own style and are spacious enough to make sure its not cramped, but small enough to be cozy and not wasting space. The great room - kitchen/living room is where most of us spent most of our time - and it was lovely with the view and the high ceilings. The only things that were not perfect (although did not detract from the 5-star rating) are that the thermostat was persnickity with us, the kitchen - which has almost everything you could ever want (but no coffee grinder - my bad for not checking!) - and was delightfully appointed with spices and condiments and other small food items - was not well organized and took us a while to find things. There are games and books and DVDs (both for kids and adults) and the furniture is super comfy. There's stuff to play down at the beach - kids' stuff and beach chairs and such. I booked this beach house for my birthday and we had a tremendous time - the owners are SUPER helpful, communicative, and kind. I would rent this house again in an instant, and expect to return in the coming year. ...I've rented beach houses at least once a year for the last 10 years or so. I have to say that this one had the best of everything, and with the fantastic owners, it is easily my favorite rental to date.

Living in Washington, DC, we get to North Carolina as often as we can, but it makes sense to us to share our home with others rather than to leave it vacant for most of the year.
