Stone artesian home bordering Sawmill Creek and Little Sequatchie River. Huge, unique, stone elevated deck with fire pit for entertaining. Horses welcome and a small barn is available for boarding. Located on 15 acres in a private, secluded location perfect for a private getaway. Property borders the Trials Training Center and is a short drive from Monteagle which boasts attractions such as the beautiful and historic University of the South, Savage Gulf, Foster Falls, Cumberland Plateau and Stone Doors. Property is also a short 30 minute drive from Chattanooga proper and Raccoon Mountain. Hundreds of miles of hiking and running trails await in this perfectly situated gem located a short drive from everywhere!

Great cabin!

We had a great time! We thought the location was perfect. It was secluded but not too far from places to eat or things to do. The cabin was beautiful and very clean.

our getaway 33 yr anniversary

Nice piece of property wish it was mine. It does need some TLC and there is some heavy equipment work going on nearby that we could hear but evenings where very quiet. We enjoyed are stay. Thank you.

Quick guys getaway!

We did this as opposed to camping and it was great to have a nice home to stay in. The only issues were typical things you find in woodsy areas, but everything was as the owner said and the owner gave lots of info prior to the stay making the rental one you would go back to. The property was great for hiking and swimming.

Home away from home

Stayed two nights and found it beautiful and very relaxing. The only thing that we could complain about was the water pressure but that’s it and of course they give you a heads up. Looking forward to coming back!!!! Def a nice little hidden getaway and perfect for a small family looking to get away even for just a couple days! Loved it!

Quiet & secluded

Very quiet and cozy house. The property owner was very quick to respond to any of my questions. Only 30-40 minute drive to downtown Chattanooga. The beds and living room sofa were comfortable. The long driveway in the house was pretty bumpy. Kids enjoyed running around and exploring farm animals in nearby lot.

If you want the world to disappear

Wrapped in trees. Each night a new little critter visiting, every morning deer in the front yard. The sounds of nature are deep in this very secluded home. Child and adults very happy with everything!

Chattanooga Trip

It was a nice secluded area to stay with my wife and dog. I love the old school A frame design upstairs. Easy drive to the grocery store and close to Chattanooga. I would personally suggest a truck or suv to get down the driveway and not a low sitting car. Certain patches had big rocks and it was bumpy. Thankfully I drove my truck on this trip.

Family time

Nice comfy place no as was expected after the instructions and message that we received after. No neighbors which we love it. Every think is far 45 minutes is the closest store. After all with only use as sleep and we cook only one meal.

Family vacation

We came down to the area to visit family that live in the area. Everything was as described, did have an issue with the knobs on the stove not working. We were able to use one and it worked just fine for us and the meals we were preparing. We did have to get toilet paper as there was only a roll in each bathroom but I didn’t expect the cabin to come stocked so that was no issue. The power went out our first day and the owner was quick to respond and keep me updated and it was restored within the hour. Overall, we had a great stay and with having family nearby it is likely we will return. We also had our dogs with us and there is plenty of room for them to run and ply and great trails, we were unfortunately hit with some rain so time outside was limited but great place to stay with pets!

Check In Door Code Wrong

We had a reservation for 2 nights. We received the incorrect check in information. Could not get a hold of property manager. Had to drive and buy a hotel room. Was not offered refund. Was not offered reimbursement. Did not even get an apology.

Huge spiders actively crawling

It was a no for us. We did not stay after huge black spiders were crawling in the bedroom and into my belongings. I contacted the owner and the owner stated that she sprays 3 times a month and refused to give us a refund over “ a dead spider” The spider was dead because we killed it but the live ones got away. Not quite the response I was looking for. Very unprofessional and unsympathetic of our situation. I have proof of the entire conversation and would post it if it were possible.

Filthy dump

This place was uninhabitable. We couldn't stay one night. We had to stay in a hotel till we could find another place. Cob webs everywhere and these horrible spider crickets half the size of my hand. Rusty sludge coming out of the faucet with a nice little note on the counter stating that you shouldn't wash your clothes because they would be stained, I don't know how anyone can even shower. And even if the house was perfect I couldn't even pull in the driveway because my car was too low to the ground. There were boulders everywhere and it wasn't a short stint from the road to the cabin. My sister did damage to the underneath of her Acura pulling in. This place should be kicked off of VRBO. She wouldn't refund my money and I have an ongoing case with VRBO. Lesson learned hard.....always read the reviews.
