Cozy upper room, separate entrance from residence upstairs. Very private Queen bed, retro mini fridge and microwave, Mr. Coffee with coffee provided, cedar closet with luggage racks, and extra storage space. Deck with view of the 7 Sisters mountain range, great for soaking up rays or star gazing. Wi-fi, Smart TV with movie channels. Spacious bath with freestanding soaking tub and separate shower. We do have A/C. Walk to downtown Black Mountain where you will find quaint mountain shops, great restaurants, breweries and more. 15 minutes to Asheville. We are dog friendly with full fencing.. Pet fee of $30. Beautiful stone firepit with wood provided.

The host was very welcoming. We have had the pleasure of staying several times now and have been very pleased each time. It is the perfect spot for us while in the area. Very close to downtown Black Mountain and other area attractions.

The room was very cozy and beautifully furnished with lots of towels etc. The views of the mountains and neighborhood from window and deck were exceptional. The hosts was very accomidating.

Mary was a wonderful host! The property was clean, well stocked and comfortable. The water pressure was top notch and the soaking tub was a dream. Couldn’t have asked for anything more.

Amazing stay, beautiful woodwork inside and great deck, exceptionally appointed, bath with amazing tub, shower and strong water pressure. Host are very responsive and it’s evident they care about the property and your experience.

Our stay at the Cozy Upper Room was great just as we expected. We stayed here before and will do so again. Mary is a great hostess, the room has everything you need, it is clean and comfortable . Feels very private and a great location. Easy walk to downtown Black Mountain.

Another great stay in this cozy room!

The hosts Mary and Will and amazing. The space is comfortable, private, clean, and close to everything. Dog friendly as well which is perfect for us. Best place to stay in Black Mountain hands down!

Cozy and Convenient!

Our stay was just perfect. Great location, close to everything, but quiet. So clean and well thought out for the traveler. Mary was responsive and flexible. Highly recommend.

Mary’s place fit the bill perfectly. The suite was incredibly clean. The bathroom had a lovely tiled shower with a full relaxing shower spray. . The bed was comfortable and the attached deck was perfect for us to relax with our dog. The private fenced yard was loved by our pooch. Mary had detailed instructions on the WiFi and TV. The neighborhood was quiet. We felt perfectly safe to take our dog for a late evening walk. We will certainly be back, hopefully sooner than later.

Short stay

Very comfortable, great location, very responsive host. There was a wide ranging power outage for just a few hours and host made sure we had flashlights and an electric lantern. Excellent. We’re going back.

We had an amazing stay! Mary was incredibly thoughtful and kind. The room was perfect, just as described, and the balcony view was breathtaking! The fenced area was a dream for our dog. The town itself is fantastic, with tons of cool things to do and great breweries. We highly recommend this place and can't wait to return and visit Mary, Ottie and Taz again. - thanks for making our trip unforgettable!

Cozy Black Mountain Stay

Cozy and Close to Town

The private upper room was perfect for our needs. Black Mountain was in the twenties, but our room was warm and cozy. Downtown is a minute away by car, or close enough to walk if you're into that sort of thing. Will definitely visit again.

Just what I was needing for a few nights traveling by myself. I was a bit hesitant before booking since it's attached to someone's house, but such positive reviews, I booked it. I'm glad I did. Mary was a wonderful host. Stairs up to your own entrance and balcony facing the mountains. Cute and charming inside with a spacious bathroom. Thank you, Mary for opening your home to people like me to enjoy.
