German Schmear house

Our place is Centrally Located in Waco. You are close to a Target, a Starbucks and HEB...not far from Baylor and Magnolia. The house is tucked away on a peaceful, quiet street. The layout of our house provides a big open living space that is great for families (with kids) and big groups. If you love to cook, our kitchen is a great space to host.

Come stay in our Newly Renovated German Schmear house. 1970s Ranch-style turned European Eclectic. Plenty of room with a great open floor plan. Natural light throughout. We are located around 10-15 Minutes from downtown, Magnolia Silos, Baylor & McLane Stadium.

Great place

We enjoyed our stay. Lots of room to roam in this house. Located close to stores and shopping. Very nice people. Would definitely recommend this house.

Waco Trip

Great house!

Our stay at the German Schmear house was amazing, it was what we thought it would be, very comfortable, close to everything. House was very clean and had lots of room for everybody. Would definitely stay there again. It was just a short drive to silos, restaurants, shopping.

Perfect for a visit to Magnolia Market

We had a short trip to The Silos, Magnolia Market and Magnolia Table . The house is very close to all theses and Baylor University as well. The house is beautiful, comfortable and well equipped. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of towels, fans for each bedroom and kitchen supplies. The check out procedure was simple. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay in Waco! Close to everything. Such a cool property. Crib and pack in play for kids. Lovely back yard. Communication with host was great! Would recommend!

Weekend celebration!

We came to Waco to celebrate our daughter’s wedding. It was the perfect place to rest after each event We had plenty of room for five adults To spread out yet, be close together. My husband and I grew up in Waco and I actually grew up right down the street from where we stayed so it was so nice to reminisce and enjoy the neighborhood again so close to everything we needed: shopping restaurants, and all the activities we had a great day thanks for sharing your home

Great stay!

Extremely clean. We used 3 of the beds and all were reported to be very comfortable. Sheets were sooo soft. Communication with owners was spot on. Stay here, if you want, because of the Fixer Upper connection. More so stay here because it is clean and a very comfortable home!

Quick getaway

This property was perfect for a football weekend- great gathering space and backyard. Owners were great to work with and very responsive. Pictures accurately represent the property. We will definitely rent again!

Sister’s 50th Bday

House is as advertised, clean and prepped with general items like toilet paper, spices and cooking oils. Check in and out smooth. Plenty of room for 4 people traveling as a group or multiple couples.

Gorgeous home!

This home is absolutely gorgeous! We are huge Fixer Upper fans and were so excited when we were able to stay at the German Schmear home. We enjoyed our stay and loved visiting Magnolia Table, Magnolia Market at the Silos and Bakery. Jeff and Sarah you have a gorgeous home and Thank you so much for sharing it with my family.

Perfect Fixer Upper Stay

We visited Waco for all things Fixer Upper with our two young daughters who love the show. This house was exactly as expected and just like it looked on the show (it was fun to watch that episode while in the house!). Flawless experience all around!

Girls Trip

I’d do it again

It was a lovely stay! Represented well on line. I must have missed that there is another guest house rental/converted garage on the property. Would be great for bigger group! Will keep in mind for next girls trip and rent both.

Excellent experience

What a treat staying in one of the homes Chip and Joanna renovated. The first floor certainly had the Gaine’s stamp on it. The second floor was fine but nothing compared to the first floor. Highly recommend if you are a Fixer Upper fan.

Fantastic Home for Magnolia Experience

We spent 6 fun filled days exploring Waco for Spring Break and celebrating a family birthday. We are fans of Fixer Upper and Magnolia Network shows so it was fun to see all the places (and some faces) we’ve seen on our favorite shows. The German Schmear house is a great location and the owners are the best we’ve ever encountered! And we VRBO a lot. If you love Magnolia like we do or you’re looking for a comfortable and convenient place to stay in Waco, this is a great home to book!

Great space for large group!

Our favorite part of the house was the outdoor space...had a big group over and cooked out after the Baylor football game. Was a beautiful night in a beautiful setting. Beds were very comfortable. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is there wasn't enough towels/wash cloths for the number of people we had staying there. We had 8 people for 2 nights, and not even 1 per person. Otherwise, it was great!

Hi we are Jeff and Sara Jones we met at Baylor University and Church and that is were sparks flew. After College we both moved to Knoxville, Tennessee to both be on College Ministry staff with a local church. While in Tennessee we fell in love. We moved back to Texas in 2014 and got married. Now Waco, Texas is home and we love it there.
