A Stay Rooted in Waco History
Jesse’s Place offers more than just a comfortable stay. It’s a chance to experience a meaningful piece of Waco history. Originally purchased in the 1970s by local Wacoan Jesse Contreras, owner of Jesse’s Tortilla Factory, this home has been lovingly restored by his grandson while preserving the charm of the original pier and beam house. Located close to downtown, Baylor, and Magnolia, it provides a welcoming place to relax while staying connected to the heart of the city.
The Home
This beautifully remodeled home blends historic character with updated comfort and thoughtful amenities. Guests will enjoy comfortable bedding, a fully stocked kitchen, and a cozy living space designed for relaxing after a day exploring Waco. The electric fireplace adds warm ambiance, while the living room Smart TV includes basic cable. TVs are also provided in all three bedrooms, and the home includes fast Wi-Fi with download speeds up to 600 Mbps.
The kitchen includes a Keurig coffee maker with provided pods, creamers, and sweeteners to make mornings easy. Families are welcome, and a pack ’n play is available for little ones.

The backyard is designed for gathering and unwinding, with outdoor seating, string lighting, backyard swings, a propane fire pit, pellet grill, and basketball goal. We stayed at Jesse’s place during the Little League Regional Tournament. When we weren’t at the tournament we explored the area - most everything was in walking distance which was super convenient (Spice Village, Dr. Pepper Factory, Backyard Bar, Magnolia Market). The amenities at Jesse’s place were great. Linens, bathroom & kitchen essentials made it easy to enjoy the moment we arrived. The backyard was enticing to hangout but it was too hot for us to enjoy. Maybe next time!! Be sure to swing by Jesse’s tortilla factory and stock up before you head home!

We stayed for 2 nights and the property was clean, comfortable, and well thought out with special details. We would definitely return here again in the future… especially for a longer stay!

We loved our stay at Jesse’s place. Everything went seamlessly from the check-in to check out. The place was clean and beds comfortable. The kids loved the bunk beds and the cool video game in their room along with the outdoor area activities. We will certainly be back the next time we are in Waco. Thank you for a great stay!

Great Little Place for Baylor Activities
Great little house to stay for Baylor activities. Very clean and well equipped. Easy to find location near both downtown Waco and Baylor. Loved our stay!

Jesse’s place was such a warm, cozy, and beautiful home. Me and my family really enjoyed the outdoor space with corn hole and the kids enjoyed the bunk beds and arcade game. The kitchen was fully stocked and the big island was a nice touch. Easy access to just about everything was a plus! All furniture was very comfortable. Definitely will stay here again! Thank You for hosting us.

Property was nice and clean and was stocked with everything we needed. Grandsons enjoyed playing basketball. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Great stay!
We really enjoyed our stay. Very clean house in a great location. The hosts were so great when we had questions and were able to provide great insight. Our son loved the basketball goal! We look forward to coming back!
