Ideal Family or Two Couple Wine Country Retreat at 835 Broadway! Come explore the town of Sonoma and surrounding wine country from our adorable, completely renovated historic cottage. Ideal for two couples or a family looking to relax and bask in Sonoma's unique wine country lifestyle. Pamper yourselves in our two luxury suites (both with king beds and full baths!), an elegant kitchen and dining area, and welcoming entertainment (tasting!) room. Our comfortable front porch surrounded by picket fenced gardens is ideal for sipping a glass of wine after a day of enjoying all the Napa/Sonoma wine country has to offer. We are located at 835 Broadway, minutes from vineyards and just a five-minute walk (four blocks) to the vibrant and historic Sonoma Plaza. You’ll love our perfect mix of quaintness with every modern amenity. Whether your plan to drive the scenic byways of our wine valleys, explore the town on foot, or tool around on bicycles, this location could not be more ideal. If you want to leave your car behind you can walk to shops, restaurants, tasting rooms, or several nearby wineries. Whole Foods and the acclaimed Sonoma Market are just blocks away replete with local produce, wines and cheeses.
Also nearby are two historic cheese factories where you can sample, tour, or buy (Vella Cheese and Sonoma Cheese Factory). World class spas are located within minutes of the property, including the Fairmont-operated Sonoma Mission Inn with its underground hot springs and multi-level mineral pools. Spend a day at the spa or out wine tasting, then return to our comfortable front porch for happy hour and a relaxing break before strolling out to enjoy a fabulous dinner. Or stay in and cook in our beautiful chef's kitchen. If exercise is on the docket, we can direct you to several breathtaking local hikes, bike rentals, running routes, or gyms. My wife and I moved to Sonoma twenty years ago and enjoyed our first ten years together "on the town". THEN, the twins came - now nine years old. So, we've settled into family/schools/parents/sports/camps/etc. and the pleasurable lifestyle of raising a family here in Sonoma.

This property spoke to my business partner and me back in 2008 as a small local investment we could watch evolve over time. Well, it has. 835 Broadway enjoyed a couple of small business tenants for the first stage of our ownership, but then we had the idea of creating a vacation rental - something special, unique, and luxuriously wine-country. We took the award winning structure, and invested more than $200,000 in a total remodel (to the studs) in 2016. Everything you'll enjoy is brand new and designed to share this wonderful property and the lifestyle of Sonoma Valley.
As local legend has it, this charming stand-alone house was built by the local banker in 1902 for his new bride. The rose he planted for her is still there in the garden (or perhaps its offspring). 835 Broadway has served as a home, a travel agency, a consulting office, and has enjoyed numerous other lives from its special spot within the historic district of Sonoma. The partners who own it are neighbors and friends who want the house to be treated well and loved by those who come to enjoy it.
