This 2 Bedroom getaway is located on quiet wooded lot with a spectacular view and immediate access to the lake.

Great family vacation spot

This was exactly what we were looking for with our family vacation. The direct lake access was perfect. We did a lot of swimming and although we didn’t need them the kayaks and paddle boat were very nice to have. We stayed for 5 days and fished every one of them! We caught lots of fish! It was very quiet and private. We also enjoyed the fire pit and were able to have a couple nightly fires. Could see us coming back in the future!

Beautiful, quiet lake front

My husband and I enjoyed the lake front setting and fishing on the lake. Our host was there for any needs. We trailered our boat to the boat launch just a couple miles away. We enjoyed the 2 kayaks provided and fishing boat also.

Nice place to stay to get away

Great, cozy mobile home on the lake. Quiet area off of any main road. Far enough away from town to be peaceful but close enough if you need something. Home was clean, beds were comfy and view was awesome. We had probably the best fishing and perfect weather than I have had a quite sometime. My grandparents used to live in the area not too far away in Maine, so I have been coming to this area since I was a young boy. I love this area of this great state. Ill be looking for this place again in the future.

Perfect Getaway!

This is the perfect spot for a relaxing and fun getaway. The property is beautiful and spacious with plenty of shade trees. The kayaks and paddle boat provide hours of fun. Sit by the campfire and listen to the loon calls as the sun goes down. The mobile home is clean and has everything you need on hand. I would gladly stay here again!

Cute mobile home on the lake.

Nicely supplied mobile home. Had most all kitchen supplies, bedding and a nice washer and dryer. Storage in 1 closet was not too good because there was a mattress in it and there was not a dresser or chest for storing clothes in the 1 bedroom. Disappointed that we had to spend a couple of hours cleaning the boat and kayaks for our use. Trolling motor was nice. Door knob on the deck side was quite hard to unlock and I think for safety purposes the bathtub could use some type of non skid surface placed in the bottom of it. Lake was wonderful and the views were great. We enjoyed the deck and liked the firepit area even though we didn't have time to use it. Chad was great if we had any questions, and was quick to respond.

Short Holiday Getaway

Brightwood Getway was very quiet and relaxing. We had a lot of fun using the kayaks on the lake and spending time outdoors. It would be even better if wifi were available. It is a great stay for the price...we would definitely book again!

Birthday Trip

The property was fun and provided great opportunities. Unfortunately my son ended up in the hospital needing surgery so we did not get a real chance to enjoy it. Chad was great and easy to work with.

Relaxing!!

We had a great time staying here. We have been coming to the area for over a decade and this was one of my favorite places! We were able to bring the whole family even the fur babies!

Great property

After staying at several area resorts for decades, happened tti find this property. It was a big upgrade from all the resorts in terms of spaciousness, amenities, and privacy. Just what we needed. The owner was friendly, attentive, and helpful.

Relaxing!!

We loved staying at Chads place. The house was clean,comforting and no problems. We fished every day. Enjoyed every minute. Very private!!

Quiet getaway

Nice location on quiet road. Included everything you needed to enjoy time on the lake or games in the yard. Owner was very helpful and quick to respond with any questions.

Comfortable trailer on a great lake

We came mainly for fishing since the weather in May is much to cold to play in the water. It turned out being colder and windier than normal but we still caught fish each day. The trailer was warm and had everything we needed for our 2 week stay. We met Bill when checking in and later met Chad. Both were very friendly and were ready to help if we needed anything. Our stay went quite smoothly and we will certainly consider staying again.

Wonderful Property on the Lake With Fun Accommodations!

The property was clean and had everything you needed for your stay. We were at Chad's place for 2 nights and wished we could have stayed longer. The fridge was large and accommodated the food we had. Chas was great with communications and very responsive. Bill promptly tended to a minor repair that was needed. The highlights of the trips were the water toys and what was available. We loved the hammock, swing, paddle boat, and kayak. We were able to catch the summer activities before it got too cold. The property was 20-25 minutes drive to the Maplewood State Park which we went to admire the fall colors. Overall, we were super happy and would be back next summer!

Private and peaceful

This is a great location and the accommodations are good too. The kitchen is fully stocked with whatever tools you could need and the water toys are awesome!

Some positives & some negatives

My review is based on what I seen and experience not what my opinion is. Pictures online don't represent the most current property conditions (pictures look to be a couple years older). When I got there it was just cleaned yet there where cob webs hanging from ceiling and lights. Window AC was covered with dust (AC was white but vent looked dark grey from the dirt) The screens/window seals were covered with dead bugs. A couple of the screens had holes/pulled way from the frame allowing bugs to enter if windows were open. Outside furniture was dirty, had cob webs all over them, and some of the chairs/bench swing looked to be in less than good condition. Everything outside could use a good power washing from what i seen. We did a cleaning through out the place during the 2 weeks and had to change the cleaning water 3 times. Killed 30 spiders on the inside. in the 2 weeks we were there including in both beds (most were pencil eraser to quarter size). The refrigerator/freezer smelled of rotting meat the first couple days when you opened the door. Propane Grill was out of propane and grates were rusty and looked like they hadn't been cleaned for awhile (did find another full propane tank in shed days later). Both the inside & outside south door wouldn't close completely (looked to be damaged and not fixed correctly). There were quit a few bee's along with the spiders. In fact one of us was stung while sitting outside. Chad was very quick in his responses during booking and when arriving. unfortunately we never got to meet Chad. Got to meet Bill who was very nice and great to talk to. Bill was very quick to help out when I needed a hacksaw to fix my boat trailer. Bill was also very knowledgeable about the area. There are multiple electrical outlets on the outside. There is also a rubber hose and outside water if needed. There is Antenna TV & DVD player (some DVD's mostly children's) Plenty of room for parking Lots of coffee cups but not much for other dishes. May want to check about dishes you may need before booking. Not a lot of closet/dresser space in the 2 bedrooms (there is some) No WiFI Newer front load washer and dryer. Soft water & good water pressure
