Our stay was great, very good communication with the host. Just a short walk to the beach. A very nice, clean, and well appointed home!Would definitely stay there again!

We loved the property. The house had everything that we needed. The hosts were attentive and checked in with us regularly. We also loved the proximity to the pier and beach access.

Pelican’s retreat is the ideal beach stay in Kure! It’s only a short walk to the nearest public beach access and great restaurants. Kevin and Zandra are fantastic hosts, communicating effectively from booking to check out. Looking forward to coming back to Pelican’s Retreat!

Great location. Ocean beach access right across street. Air conditioned. Extra refrigerator really appreciated on ground floor. Nice bathrooms, spacious. The hosts were very responsive. I'd suggest getting a lock that could be changed weekly. Felt safe in surroundings. Coffee shops, pier to fish or walk within a short jaunt. We had baby supplies much appreciated. Gates, pack n play, highchair. Had lots of toys, beach chairs in garage. Grill out back. Recommend.

From the time we booked until we left, everything was perfect. The host reached out to me immediately after booking with information which was very helpful. I had reached out to her a couple of times prior to arriving and once after arriving with questions. She was very quick to respond and so pleasant. We have never had anyone to leave us a gift upon our arrival, and we walked into a sweet card and wonderful dessert that she left for us to enjoy. So very thoughtful. The location to beach was awesome, as well as places to eat. We really enjoyed our stay there at Pelican Retreat. This will be on our list for a return visit. No surprises and everything was just as it was presented to us. A GREAT PLACE TO STAY!!!

Close location to all you may need!

Room for whole family. Owner was available for any questions we had about the area. We would definitely stay again!

Great location, plenty of room for the whole family. Steps to the sand & fishing pier. Short walk to Freddie’s restaurant-you will need reservation. Also, beach house burgers is a must. Hosts were very nice and communication was great. Would stay again!

Memorial Day weekend 2025

Second straight year staying here, hosts are fantastic and very responsive. Has everything we needed for our stay including for our toddler. Especially enjoyed the new beach carts and blackstone grill!

Another great stay

Second stay at Pelicans Retreat - first trip with infant. Very equipped to handle all needs - stocked kitchen and beach supplies. Owners are very receptive and check in occasionally to ensure our stay was great. Looking forward to staying here again
