Séjour parfait

Gîte en pleine nature, calme et reposant. Très bien équipé, fonctionnel et propre. Un vrai plus: la piscine! Un grand merci à Claude pour son accueil chaleureux, ses délicates attentions et ses précieux conseils pour découvrir la région. Adresse à conserver et à transmettre.

Location au calme, pratique, propre, avec belle piscine !

Environnement très calme à dix minutes des commerces et à proximité d'Angoulême. Location agréable propre et pratique. On se sent directement comme à la maison. Propriétaire discret et sympathique. Piscine à l'eau de mer très agréable et bien entretenue. On conseille !

Rustige omgeving, aangename woning. Zwembad zeer oké! Bedden voor onze tieners waren iéts te kort. Jammer van de buitenlamp boven de terrastafel. Niet zo verzorgd. Anders was alles oké! Aangename gastheer

A perfect spot for a peaceful relaxing stay

Everything about our stay was perfect. The gite was modern and very clean. Though Claude lives nearby we felt completely private and on our own there. The gite is in a quiet spot which was perfect for us as we wanted to be away from it all. There is a village not too far away though which has a bakery and a bar. Can't recommend either as both were closed when we visited. The weather was excellent for our stay so we were able to make full use of the pool. It was our first time experiencing a salt pool and I must say we both much preferred it to the usual chlorine ones. We made use of the bikes that were there to cycle to the local village where we played tennis. They were good quality mountain bikes. There are also very nice quiet cycle or walking roads around the gite so children could also cycle safely without going near the main roads. All in all a lovely relaxing stay for us.

Last minute peaceful holiday!

Les Souches was perfectly located for a totally secluded, peaceful getaway. The pool was great for the hot sunny days and was a great place to unwind. Claude was the perfect host, explained the gite but then left us to it. Would love to return!

Belle vacances en famille

Maison très calme avec une belle vue, même les cerfs occasionnels peuvent être vus au loin. Destination idéale avec des enfants. Piscine sécurisée pas trop profonde et jardin clos. Toutes les installations de base sont disponibles pour des vacances sans soucis.

Een huis die is voorzien van alle gemakken. Het zwembad kan je door de ligging de gehele dag gebruiken. Het huis is rustig gelegen waardoor je de vogels goed kunt horen. Claude is een prima en fijne gastheer die je met rust laat maar indien je vragen hebt, direct voor je klaar staat.

Super séjour

Super séjour en amoureux ! La maison est au calme a quelques km du village. Nous avons profité de la piscine. Un week-end génial A notre arrivés une bouteil de rosé et jus d'orange été dans le frigo. Le propriétaire nous a très bien accueilli.

Peaceful location with beautiful pool

Lovely clean property with nice hot shower and great salt swimming pool. Beams in bedrooms are low for anyone over 6ft - so remember to duck! Gorgeous quiet location but near Angouleme with lots of lovely restaurants

Un séjour familial parfait

La location est en parfait état et très bien équipée. La proximité de sites touristiques tout en étant au calme de la campagne sont de vrais atouts. Et la piscine a séduit les enfants ! Un très bon séjour en famille... nous reviendrons ! Merci encore pour l’accueil.

A beautiful setting, a lovely building, very nicely furnished, very nice extras

When our host rolled back the door of the converted barn, we were most impressed at the sight of the double-heighted gite that had been hidden inside. It is very nicely furnished - sufficiently neutral to please all - with a well appointed kitchen and pantry, including a dishwasher, washing machine and dryer. The bedrooms upstairs were comfortable with sufficiently open-wardrobe space for our visit. The bathroom downstairs had a very nice shower and sauna, thick towels and towelling robes. An outside dining area was another bonus, with plenty of space and shade (we ate there for most meals). The pool outside was a good size, very clean, and good quality swim towels provided. A further shower and lavatory are in a block by the pool, helping with our teenagers wanting to wash at the same time. Behind were open fields, giving a feeling of calm and quiet, enabling us to have a very relaxing holiday, and lovely views of the sunsets. The apple orchard to the side of the garden was a beautiful bonus, adding to the pretty views. We were a party of 5, so made use of the futon bed on the landing. It was just about okay for our younger teenager, although would suit a younger child better, perhaps, as she found the folds in the mattress a little uncomfortable. Otherwise, the 5 of us fitted in perfectly, with plenty of chairs at the table indoors and outside, and sufficient crockery and cutlery for all. Less than 10 minutes easy drive got us back into the village of Dignac to several boulangeries for the day's bread. About 20 minutes drive to Angouleme for a range of shops, and restaurants. Our host lives next door, so was to hand with any questions we might have had. They had done a lot of research before opening the gite, and it shows in the many positive details around it. I'd definitely recommend Les Souches, and hope to return there myself.

Très agréable séjour aux souches. Gîte très bien équipé et conforme à la description. Piscine très agréable et parfaitement sécurisée. Jardin clos de mur, entouré de champs. Du repos en famille comme espéré. Propriétaires charmants et très très discrets. Merci!

dépaysement

C'est la deuxième année que nous venons aux Souches et nous en sommes très contents La description de la maison est précise celle ci est bien entretenue elle est entourée de champs ce qui procure du calme Nous sommes à 12 kms d'Angoulême.Nous avons à dispositions les brochures pour visiter la région très riche en histoire Il y a de nombreux marchés comme Bramtôme ,Piegut Les restaurants sont raisonnables Les propriétaires sont discrets et agréables Nous conseillons cette maison pour ceux qui aiment le calme tout en étant dans un lieu chargé d'histoire

Très beau gîte dans un calme absolu

Gîte à l'orée des champs et des bois dans un calme absolu, à l'écart de la route. Tout confort dans le gîte (cuisine, séjour, salle de bain, chambres.... impeccables) pour un très beau séjour. Super vacances.

Nous avons passé de très bonnes vacances aux Souches. La maison est très agréable et bien équipée. Dommage que le temps n'était pas au rendez-vous, mais nous avons tout de même profité de la piscine tous les jours. Calme absolu et possibilité de faire une ballade à vélo au départ de la maison. A conseiller.

Nous avons passé une superbe semaine dans la location Les Souches C'est une maison très agréable conforme aux photos et le calme est le grand plus .La propriétaire est vraiment charmante et très discréte.La piscine permet de se détendre un maximum et la vue est très reposante Nous y reviendrons l'été prochain

super again!

We were there for the second time this year and it was as lovely as in May, only the weather was much better. There's nóthing to complain about. There is always a place to sit in the shadow and to eat outside. The place is very convenient for family's with small children because of the enclosed garden. But also our daughter of 14 enjoyed it. In the surroundings are a lot of nice towns. The house stays very cool if you shut the sliding front door.

Very nice house with garden, with nice view. Swimming pool was very nice because of the salt water. You can hang around wherever you want in the shade or in the sun. You can cycle in the surrounding woods. We felt very at home!

Séjour au calme.

Nous avons séjourné 15 jours dans un cadre super silencieux - ce que nous recherchions. Il n'y a que des champs autour Des Souches : pas un bruit. Le logement est très lumineux, spacieux et plus que bien équipé. La piscine est splendide et sécurisée. Nous en avons bien profité ainsi que du auvent en bois pour les apéros. Mr et Me B. sont très accueillants, discrets, serviables et d'une extrême gentillesse. Un grand merci pour ces agréables vacances.
