The perfect home base for our trip to Maui! Cottage is beautiful and exactly as described. The neighborhood is lovely and the pools were a great bonus. Host answered any questions promptly and was very helpful. I hope we can stay here again if we get the chance to return to Maui. It truly felt like home!

Excellent quiet location in a HOA neighborhood, two pools one on the lake. Just beyond where the fires hit years ago as they’re just starting to rebuild, but this unit and that half of the neighborhood was spared. Nicely remodeled on the inside.

We had a wonderful stay at Aloha Cottage! Ryan was extremely communicative throughout the whole process. The house was equipped with everything we needed including toys and books for our toddler. The house was very clean, the ocean front pool was beautiful, and the location was very convenient. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a beautiful property in Lahaina!

This place was absolutely perfect for our family of five. The home was comfortable, beautifully decorated, spotless, and thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed. We especially appreciated the little extras, such as laundry detergent, plenty of towels, extra blankets and pillows, a fully equipped kitchen with every small appliance imaginable, and staples like cooking oil and spices.The primary bed was incredibly comfortable, and we loved waking up each morning to watch the butterflies and other wildlife right outside the bedroom. The beach, pools, views, and grounds were all stunning and exceeded our expectations.Communication with the host was prompt, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Hosts responded promptly to all questions. Cottage is super convenient to Lahaina shops, restaurants. All was very clean and nicely appointed. Beds were super comfy. Wish we could have stayed longer to enjoy it more.

Cottage was clean and well kept. Location is convenient to shopping, dining, and many beaches including a small beach just a short walk from the property. Stay was very enjoyable.

We had a great stay at Ryan’s place in Maui. The condo was very clean, the loft was awesome, and the pool being right on the beach next to the water was a huge bonus. The sunsets were beautiful every night — at least until the rain during our last couple of days.Ryan was very responsive. I had a question about the WiFi password and he replied quickly (even though I later realized it was already in a previous message). The location was perfect for what we wanted. You can hear some highway traffic, but it really wasn’t that bad and didn’t bother us much.Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back.

Aloha Cottage

Loved our stay at the Aloha Cottage. Property was clean and neat. Kitchen was well stocked which made cooking for the kids easy. Loved the outdoor lanai. Great spot for families and kids. Easy close beach access, but also easy drive to stores and restaurants in Lahaina. Nearby beaches were also great. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice condo/villa! This is a perfect place to stay that is centrally located to just about everything on the island. All the amenities you need to feel like a home away from home. Nestled in a quiet gated community with local residents as well as travelers.The community is right on the coast with amazing views. If you’re looking for a place away from the tourist mecca hotel type accommodations, this is the ideal place the stay. Rent a car, stay in a quiet, affordable, and centrally located home, and enjoy this laid back island. We stayed in Honolulu for the 2nd half of our trip and the hotel atmosphere and hustle and bustle made us realize how nice this place was. I’d definitely stay here again.

Aloha Cottage was the perfect home base for our second time visiting Maui. Though Lahaina is still rebuilding from the devastating wildfires a few years ago, the town was so very welcoming and being able to call Aloha Cottage our home for five days made our Maui vacation all the more magical. The cottage is nicely appointed and the kitchen had everything you might need. There were only three of us in our party (myself, wife, and 17 yo daughter) so the sleeping layout was perfect for us. We spent five days on Maui and then five days on Kauai…the five nights at Aloha Cottage gave us some of our best sleep (bed in the master was super comfortable). As other guests mentioned, there is some road noise from the highway nearby, but as we normally travel with a small sound machine, it wasn’t a factor. The ’Ocean Pool’ was the definite star of the property…would be hard pressed for a more relaxing place to just unwind and enjoy the beauty of the ocean. No lazy river, no water slides, no DJ’s…just a nice pool with Pacific waves crashing against it. Simple. Beautiful. There’s beach access in the community as well and after a morning of playing in the surf was great to go back to the cottage and not just have an outdoor shower, but a hose with a shower nozzle to get the sand out of those hard to reach areas…though I still had some fine Maui sand in my ear a week later :)Lastly, Ryan was a great host and very accommodating with any questions I had. Definitely stay again!

Great Location

Nice rental with a great location that has quick access to a beach and several swimming pools. Lahaina itself is a short car drive or long walk from the property, but definitely close enough to be very convenient. Very nice experience.

Beautiful Beach Cottage

The property is as advertised and in the perfect family-friendly community. We slept like royalty! The backyard area is perfect for lunch after a day at the beach, including the outdoor shower. Communication with the owner was always prompt and clear. We would absolutely return!

Peaceful Paradise

The perfect location for our crew to get away, relax, and take in the beautiful island! Location is perfect for quick access to beautiful Lahaina and an easy drive to everywhere else on our itinerary. Kitchen is lovely and had everything we needed. The back porch was also beautiful. Just a few minutes walk to the ocean. Thank you!!

Great little home base

It was very clean and well equipped. Backyard seating area was very comfortable, but be aware that there will be some traffic noise when you're outside. Convenient location, covered parking for 1 vehicle. Outstanding host - always got back to me within a few minutes.

The house itself is beautiful, comfortable, all accommodations you need for a great stay. My kids loved the provided toys and books. The property and location on the island is amazing. The 2 pools were great within the puamana complex and the ocean just a short walk for sunrise and sunset or to watch the surfers. The biggest con, and I feel like it’s was understated by previous reviewers, is the constant highway noise. The house is within 50 ft of a major highway, and it sadly just ruined our enjoyment of the lanai and outdoor space. The downstairs bedroom is quiet and insulated but you could hear the traffic noise all night upstairs in the loft. If you’re planning on being out exploring the island all day or use to city noise maybe this is the house for you but it was just so loud and distracting, we had a hard time even maintaining a conversation outdoors. It really put a damper on our whole trip, with little kids we had planned on spending a lot of time enjoying and relaxing in a beautiful place and we just didn’t get to experience that. We’d come back to the Puamana complex in a heartbeat though just much further from the road.

Thank you so much for your review and for highlighting the beautiful aspects of the home, the family-friendly touches, and everything Puamana has to offer. We’re so happy your family enjoyed the toys, books, pools, ocean access, and the overall location within the community. We do want to clarify for future guests that the home is not located next to a major highway, but rather near a small two-lane road within Lahaina. Several years ago, a bypass was built around Lahaina, and the majority of traffic now uses that route, making the road behind the home much quieter than it once was. Many of our guests specifically enjoy relaxing on the lanai, dining outdoors, and enjoying the peaceful tropical setting, and most reviews describe the home and neighborhood as quiet and relaxing. That said, we understand that sensitivity to sound can vary greatly from person to person, especially for guests coming from very rural or extremely quiet environments. We truly appreciate your stay and are glad you loved the home and the incredible Puamana community. Mahalo for visiting Maui, and we hope your family made many special memories during your time here.

Adorable Maui Sea House

Thank you for allowing us to stay in you adorable sea house! It was perfect for our family of 5. We loved the beach themed decor and all of the many ammenities!! We felt very relaxed and at home during our stay. The pool with ocean view and sun sets was amazing!! The only minor inconvenience was that your next door neighbor was parking in our assigned parking stall. When we contacted security, they were very helpful and provided other spots for us to park in. Overall, our stay was great and we'd love to return one day! Thank you for sharing your adorable sea house! With thanks, The Ascher family

The property was clean and well equipped. First impression was positive. Unfortunately the washer and dryer did not work well. This was a requirement when looking for a place to stay. Upon checking out we learned they were actually broken.

Beautiful cottage

We had everything we needed in this charming, adorably decorated, immaculate home. If I have a complaint, it is that the listing makes it seem right on the beach. It’s not at all. The community is on the ocean front but it’s a walk from this home. And the beach isn’t really one you can spend time on. But it’s near many beautiful beaches and was a great place to come home to.

Cute & Cozy Cottage for our 1st Visit to Maui as a Couple

1st impression upon entering Aloha Cottage: "this place is super cute!" After sound sleep in the 4-poster bed, which had the most comfortable sleeping pillows we'd ever encountered away from home, we experienced the 1st sunrise on Maui, enhanced by presence of fragrant frangipani blossoms overhead and at our feet. Next thing to catch the eye were palms, banana plants, two porch swings, and an outside daybed. We spent a few early mornings exploring the property and the gated community within which it is situated, walking right up to the beach, swimming in the private pool, enjoying the lovely landscaping. Bed-bathroom suite is separate from 2nd bath downstairs, and upstairs,2nd bedroom with great views. Within the recently redecorated Aloha Cottage, there is no evidence of the tragic August 2023 Lahaina "Wildfires," but a few hundred yards away from the property, it's apparent how hard this lovely beachfront gated neighborhood was hit. Cleanup had already taken place, so this evidence in no way detracted from our visit. In fact, the (quiet) rebuilding that is in progress around the neighborhood and surrounding town has us cheering "Lahaina Strong," and imagining a return visit to this very same Aloha Cottage sometime in the future. The host provided a list of fun things and places to eat around Maui, and within Lahaina itself there is a conveniently located Safeway supermarket and ABC Stores for souvenirs and fun and useful things for yourself.
