Welcome to A View from the Top-a cabin nestled in the mountains of Pigeon Forge, TN. Peace and serenity await you at this family friendly retreat. The view from this cabin is absolutely breathtaking!! From all three decks of the cabin you can see unobstructed view of the Great Smoky Mountain and Mount Le Conte. The cabin is centrally located and just 4 miles from the Parkway, Gatlinburg Golf course, Dollywood or the Strip, in Pigeon Forge and just 9 miles to Gatlinburg downtown .

A View From The Top is a roomy true log cabin that sits on top of a mountain ridge 2000 ft above sea level and centrally located. Our luxury cabin has 4 bedrooms. The main level has a master bedroom and a gas fireplace in the living space. The cabin is tastefully decorated and has custom blinds throughout except for the deck windows. The unobstructed panoramic view can be seen from all 3 floors and all 3 decks. Mountain view pictures were taken from our decks. We have an outdoor grill, Fire pit with a view jetted tub, hot tub, air hockey, pool table, Arcade , HDTV's in all bedrooms, 55' Smart HDTV in living space with Netflix, free WiFi. Mountain road to cabin is a good two lane paved road. There is a large flat parking area in front of the cabin that can accommodate 4 vehicles depending on size.
We furnish all linens, hand soap at every sink, dish detergent and a starter supply of paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher and washing machine detergents.

Beds were very comfortable, view was amazing, and the game room had a full sized PacMan arcade game! I recommend getting there before dark as the long winding narrow mountain road up might be scary in the dark for some drivers. Bring your Roku password or watch cable on the living room tv. There was plenty of hot water for showers/baths with good water pressure. We will definitely stay again next time we are in town.

Perfect view fabulous accommodations

We celebrated Christmas with Texas family - cute decorations, comfortable beds, well equipped cabin! Met all our needs - even for a handicapped family member. Could use a little attention to cleaning the downstairs bathroom- not terrible, but needs a bit more attention in the tub. We would stay at this place again though. I would suggest a comfy club chair or love seat in the game room too.

Amazing View!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It had everything we needed. The manager is very quick to respond to questions and concerns, which alone is great! It was beautifully decorated for Christmas! And the location is close to many attractions. Would recommend to anyone!

The view couldn't be beat. Us on 1 floor. Sister on next floor and brother on his own floor as well. Balconies every level, roads not bad for mountain driving. Would stay here every visit to TN

Superb Christmas Experience

The only bad was that mother nature was not on our side. We had a beautiful white Christmas, but it cause us to be snowed in for 3 days. Other than that, everything was perfect. Great views, location, accommodations, etc. The owner was in constant contact during the whole winter storm and kept us informed. I have never experienced anything so considerate. When we vacation again, we will definitely look into renting again.

Overall, pretty great, just a few tweaks needed to make it perfect

First of all, the view was absolutely amazing. We loved the three decks on this property. It was very convenient for our family, traveling with children and one set of grandparents who have mobility issues and loved having a main level bedroom and bathroom. It was pretty well equipt, except for a missing sink stopper (making it hard to handwash dishes) and no wooden spoons or spatulas for cooking. One of the biggest complaints that I had is that the house cleaners aren't doing as great of a job as they could be doing. The house was quite dusty of every level and had visible dust on areas such as the trim, blinds, window sills, etc. There was also a lot of crud behind and under furniture so the cleaners aren't very thorough. We loved the large bedrooms and the bathroom spaces, as well as the main living area and the game room! The decks are fantastic. We didn't use the hot tub but the community pool was great. Both times we used it no one else was even there! Another big complaint I had is that the dryer seems to be either super old or the dryer vent needs to be cleaned of build up (having lint built up in there is a huge fire hazard) because clothing and towels took forever to dry! We would have to run the dryer three times to get small loads of laundry to be fully dry. Our last night, the thermostat in the master bedroom stopped working and lost all power. I think the nest thermostat needed to just be charged, but it was incredibly hot in there.

Gorge-ous Moutain View

Pros: - Amazing mountain view - Fully loaded Kitchen with Keurig - All rooms have controllable ac/heat - Living room fireplace with timer - Ultra comfortable throw blankets for warmth - Xfinity cable HDTV's with internet wired and wireless. roughly 70Mbps Down, 10Mbps Up. all bedrooms also have tv's with cable - Recreation room with air hockey / pool table in like new condition - Hot Tub with Mountain View - Washer and Dryer available - Comfortable firm Memory Foam Mattresses - Plenty of parking space - Close to Gatlinburg and other TN attractions - Most common items available i.e. towels, wash cloths, hand soap, toilet paper, salt/pepper, laundry detergent, dishwasher tabs. - Road to cabin is pave and smooth. - Owner Vino is super accommodating and very helpful! Cons: - The trees and nearby cabin were destroyed by a fire and some of the neighboring cabins have construction items and trash strewn about on the mountainside taking away some of the great viewing experience. - No outside fireplace. You will have to ask your neighbor politely to roast smores with them! - Master Bedroom has big open window directly into living room and windows are not fully covered from neighboring cabins. This can be fixed with a cheap bedsheet and some thumb tacks - It is listed that a bedroom has a balcony view, however this is the master bedroom and a walk over the living room is required to get there and therefore not private. If anyone wants to visit this third floor balcony, it must be through the master bedroom. - Privacy wall near hot tub needs to expand a bit further and could use one on the other side of the balcony. - Walls/Ceilings are thin, bleeding noise from bedrooms above and below - Doors lack privacy latches and slide open easily - Owner asks visitors not to move furniture, which makes seating for 8 difficult (though there are plenty of couches available in different parts of the cabin) - Road to cabin is narrow and has many winding turns and places where the road "disappears". This may be important info for those that are easily car sick. All of this is my opinion only and others may not agree with it, but overall I highly recommend this cabin! The price is right for the amazing view. I will be keeping this in mind for my stay next year.
