We stayed for five nights as a family of five (kids ages 2, 8, and 10), and overall had a great experience. The location is absolutely amazing! It is literally a one-minute drive to two of the most beautiful beaches on the island — Sapodilla Bay and Taylor Bay. The backyard view is gorgeous, and we really appreciated the kayaks provided with the house. There were also beach chairs, floats, and other items left behind by previous guests, which made beach days so much easier. Bring bugs spray- mosquitoes can be quite aggressive, especially at night. The main issue during our stay was the AC in the primary bedroom. It was not working when we arrived. A portable AC unit was provided, but because of its placement, we could not fully close the window shade/cover at night, which made the room brighter and less comfortable for sleeping after long hot days at the beach. The bathroom was also extremely hot, almost like a sauna. I did contact the host, and hopefully this is a temporary issue that will be fixed for future guests (unfortunately for us it wasn’t) A couple of notes for future visitors: the house instructions mention a boa, but we never saw one, so don’t let that worry you. There are also some ants that appear in the kitchen at night even when food is put away, and we did see a few large flying roaches.
