We welcome our new, local property manager and cleaning service and look forward to the 2024 summer season. Neighbors cabin is the perfect getaway for family or a group of friends that want to enjoy both Yellowstone Park and all of the outdoor activities that Island Park has to offer. This 1150 sq ft cabin sits on 1/2 acre wooded lot in the Macks Inn area of Island Park, and is only 23 miles from the west entrance of Yellowstone. It sleeps up to 8 people, with an upstairs bedroom with a queen bed, a loft with a full size bed and full size hide a bed, and a queen size hide-a-bed in the living room on the main floor. There is internet TV on both floors, a fully stocked kitchen, 1.5 baths, washer and dryer, propane fireplace, firepit, and charcoal grill.

ATVs and snowmobiles can be ridden right from the cabin, and the Henry's Fork of the Snake River is less than 1 mile away.

No pets and no smoking please

Service animals must be declared before booking. A $250 cleaning fee will be added for any animal that stays with us. Many guests are allergic, so we need to maintain a safe environment.

We do not hire professional photographers or try to embellish this listing. This is a family cabin that we use as often as possible. This is the only VRBO listing we have and truly love sharing the beauty of the area with others.

Family Trip

The cabin was conveniently located with West Yellowstone 30 minutes away, a grocery store in town, and several Idaho state parks close by. The host was responsive, and directions/instructions were clear and accurate. The property was well stocked and a great place to relax after lots of driving.

It met all our needs and expectations.

Neighbors were friendly and there was plenty of privacy to eat outdoors enjoying the firepit for smores and bbq burgers. The house/cabin was clean. The kitchen had more than enough supplies. It was a great experience. My huband and me and 3 of our adult grandchildren enjoyed it verymuch!

Fantastic Family-Friendly Cabin Near Yellowstone

Our stay at this cabin near Yellowstone National Park was an absolute delight. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this spot was designed with families in mind. Family-Friendly Features (5/5): The large playroom with a sleep area for kids was a game-changer. The kids loved having their own space to play and unwind after a day of adventure. It’s a fantastic setup for families who need a bit of extra room to spread out and relax. Kitchen and Amenities (4.5/5): The kitchen was impressively well-stocked, making meal preparation a breeze. We appreciated having a washer and dryer on-site—so convenient for dealing with all those muddy hiking clothes. Extras like camp chairs, roasting sticks, and a fire pit added a touch of fun and made our evenings by the fire truly memorable. Outdoor Space (5/5): The cabin’s surroundings were beautifully designed for relaxation and enjoyment. We loved the picnic tables and the shaded trees that created a serene outdoor environment. The nearby Henry's Fork River was a highlight—being able to wade in the cool, refreshing waters was a perfect way to cool off and enjoy nature. Proximity to Yellowstone (4.5/5): At just a 30-minute drive to the park entrance, the location was very convenient. It struck the perfect balance between being close enough to explore Yellowstone easily and distant enough to provide a peaceful retreat. Book it!

I’d highly recommend staying here. Communication with the property owner was excellent! Easy on/off Rt.20 and a straight shot to West entrance of Yellowstone. It was quiet and has a river and trails 4mi down the road. Henry lake state park had absolutely stunning sunsets.

Long weekend getaway

My boyfriend and I and my best friend and her husband stayed in this lovely place. This was my first time seeing Yellowstone. It comes stocked with everything you'll need except food. This place is great for a family too. The host Kyra has a wealth of knowledge of everything around the area, so make sure to ask. When I had questions she answered them promptly. When we come up this way again I will definitely rent this place again.

To visit the area and the national parks

Description was spot on. Except for a few hiccups at the start, which were addressed right away, the stay was nice. You had everything you would need there. Very clean and homely . Wasn’t too far from west Yellowstone and only a mile from grocery store. Lots of sights near. Will stay again when know the area,

Great location, cozy cabin

Enjoyed our family stay at the cabin. We stayed for three nights on our Yellowstone vacation. Our kids took the large room and loved it! The other room is very small and is literally just for sleeping and nothing else. The balcony is nice to relax on. The first day we were there a moose came right up to the front steps! It is about a 20 minute drive to the West Yellowstone Entrance but the traffic is horrible it took us up to an hour to get in at times. Overall a great place to stay!

Nice cabin for our vacation

We came from Michigan to visit Yellowstone and Grand Tetons and to see Idaho. Cabin was clean/cozy and lots of room for four people. We loved Big springs and Mesa Falls in Idaho and did the dinner theater at Yellowstone Playhouse. So glad I found this location to stay.

Great Cabin for Yellowstone

We had a fantastic stay at this property. Great location in the Island Park area. The cabin was well stocked with everything we could have asked for in a place to stay. It had firewood, a bbq, camp chairs, TV with Netflix, comfy beds and sofas, and a homey feel. The kitchen was amazing with spices, nonperishable foods of all kinds. We used some and we left some. We cooked almost every meal there and loved it. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay that made our trip to Yellowstone one we will never forget. Kyra and Jess were very welcoming and helpful. We appreciated their communication throughout our visit.

Great location

Great location if you want to be active - near the river (great for kayaking/ floating in a tube), and numerous hiking/ camping areas. 35 min drive to Yellowstone entry. Also a nice place to stay and relax if you don’t want to active. Nice, safe quiet neighborhood. Would recommend and would stay here again.

Location was perfect

Loved the location as we spent time in Grand Tetons, Big Sky & Yellowstone. Getting to/from each was an easy, beautiful drive! Would recommend an update to the tiled bathroom floors as even the grout upstairs is missing in some spots. In summer months, prepare to sleep with windows open as A/C doesn’t cool it down enough for those accustomed to sleeping in cooler temps.

Just perfect!

We had an amazing time staying at this wonderful place! It was so easy to go into Yellowstone every day, and it was just a lovely place for my family to spend time each night. The host is extremely responsive and helpful and gave us great ideas — we loved Mesa falls and had a great time hanging out at the bridges looking for moose. We couldn’t have asked for a better spot for our Yellowstone vacation! Wonderful!!

Great Little Cabin

Cabin was great for our little family. Plenty of room for everyone upstairs. Kitchen was well stocked and there was a washing machine available for use as well. The property owners were easy to get a hold of and were available for any questions we had. Would recommend this cabin.

This property belonged to the Philipson family from idaho falls. After having a mobile home on the property for 40 years, we finally built a cabin on this site. We annually see moose walking through our yard. Besides sightseeing, our favorite activity is 4 wheeling on the national forest trails. 4 wheelers are available to rent in several locations to insure they are jetted for the altitude!

My grandfather bought this property when they opened up the area for land purchase. He chose this location due to it being on a maintained road, yet not on the main road where the traffic is loud.

We are about a mile from the snake river and public docks. Big Springs is approx. 3 miles east. As a kid, I always enjoyed walking to Macks Inn for ice cream. We have a driveway on Morrison St. and Cascade Ave. for ease in parking multiple vehicles.
