It's a magical little cottage in the woods. The property is lovely. You need to conserve water a little bit because the well has to fill back up if it empties. Other than that, though, no yellow flags at all. Enjoy your time at this very private, very cozy place!

Sylvan Keep is an idyllic location to revive your mind, body, soul & spirit. The home itself is beautifully maintained; the cherry wood floors are amazing; the amenities provided by the exceptional hosts could not be better. Everything about the home and surroundings is not only comfortable but comforting as well. Our stay from Oct 5-12,2026 exceeded all our expectations, made it very difficult to leave, and left us looking forward to another visit here, hopefully, in the not too distant future. We thank Scott and Heather for sharing this tranquil property with so many others.

Beautiful and very remote. A great place to rest, relax, and recharge. It was very clean and well stocked with kitchen equipment and dishes. We highly recommend.

If you are looking for rest and refreshment in a remote area, this is the best place for you. The house is beautiful, and the hosts obviously take their ownership and roles seriously and with great pride. We have rented numerous other vacation homes over the years and have never found one with the amenities, cleanliness, care, and quality of communication from the owners that we experienced with this property and hosts. We heartily recommend this property and hosts.

Had a great stay very quiet. Very nice place and good supply of dishes and cookware. Clean cabin. Had a good time fishing. The water was as low as I have seen in 40 years of coming up there. I know that has nothing to do with the cabin. Would recommend the cabin for anybody that wants a quiet time in the mountains.

Loved everything about Sylvan Keep! This is truly a secret gem. It had everything we needed and then some. We sat out on the porch with the fire table lit each evening and listened to the amazing sounds of the whippoorwills. We hiked along the moss covered trail up the mountain. In the morning the old bull frog croaked his heart away in the frog pond just outside the front porch. The inside of the home had luxury bedding and plenty of towels. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities for a comfortable stay. We appreciated each detail the owners provided. We were able to bring our furry friends along which is always an added bonus! You do have to cross a small bridge or drive through the creek to get to the property which was a surprise but a welcomed one. Definitely will try to get back to this little slice of heaven in the woods. Thank you, Scott and Heather, for sharing your beautiful place.

Thank you so much for your comments. Specific mentions about the experience that cannot be gleaned from the property description alone are very much appreciated. The whippoorwills and the bull frog have now been joined by wild turkey gobbles. A flock of nearly 20 has taken up temporary residence somewhere nearby, but happily the giant fox squirrel has not been back to chew the log ends on the porch lately!

Host was excellent. Kept us updated on the road conditions as we had winter weather before our stay and this house is off the mainroad. House had everything we needed. Everything was clean and well kept. One of the best places we have stayed in a while. If you are looking for a place to stay that is quiet, peaceful and off the main path this is the place for you. We highly recommend and will be returning in the fall.

We loved the comfort and amenities, combined with a beautiful, tranquil setting. The rooms and kitchen are well appointed, and the comfy living room with fireplace is a restive haven on chilly fall nights. The mountains are especially beautiful in fall, and Sylvan Keep is a fantastic place to enjoy the colors and scenery that abounds! We’ve returned to this cabin many times because it’s just SO Good!

This place is a gem! Comfortable, spacious, welcoming, spotlessly clean and set in a beautiful, super quiet location in the middle of the woods. Heather and Scott were wonderful hosts, answering all our questions and more. We loved it.

Wow! This house is beautiful, cozy, comfortable and very well-equipped. Comfortable beds, lots of space to sodas out and relax. Beautiful land with interesting hiking on the property (see mystery “zipper tree” photo below!) Lots of great DVDs and interesting books/puzzles/games. Kitchen has lots of spices and every cooking/baking thing we needed. We are already planning our next trip to Sylvan’s Keep! Thank you so much for sharing this beautiful cabin with us.

Great getaway

This is a great property for a relaxing stay. Enjoyed the hiking and wildlife viewing. Lots of books and movies to enjoy also. It’s well off the beaten path, but well worth the effort to get there.

We had a wonderful stay at Sylvan Keep. The cabin is exactly what it promises: peaceful, private, and thoughtfully maintained. Heather and Scott were exceptional hosts — responsive, organized, and genuinely invested in making sure everything went smoothly. The directions, check‑in details, and local tips were spot‑on, which made the whole experience easy from the start.The property itself is the kind of quiet you don’t realize you’ve been missing. Our dogs absolutely loved it — long jogs, quiet bike rides, and endless exploring on the private trails. They settled in immediately and treated the whole place like their own personal retreat.The house was spotless, well‑stocked, and comfortable, with all the practical touches you hope for but don’t always get. It’s clear how much care goes into keeping Sylvan Keep welcoming and well‑run.We left feeling rested and grateful — especially for Heather’s kindness and attention throughout our stay. Her thoughtfulness made the experience feel personal in the best way, and it’s a big part of why Sylvan Keep stands out.

Wonderful getaway!

We absolutely loved staying at this cabin! In a quiet, secluded location, this cabin is the perfect place for a relaxing stay in the mountains. It is spacious and well appointed, and the hosts have thought of everything you could need. Definitely go for a soak at the Warm Springs nearby- you’ll be glad you did!
