Our condo is a corner unit on the 4th floor located in a very exclusive area of SJDS with a tranquil and relaxing view of the ocean. We are a leisurely 15- 20 minute walk to town along the beach where you will find amazing (and inexpensive) restaurants, surf shops, yoga, bars, rentals of cars, dune buggies, dirt bikes, horses, shopping, etc. If you prefer, you can ride a bike to town or grab a taxi for approximately US$7-10. There are excursions offered that can take you boating, fishing, zip lining, turtle and whale watching tours and horseback riding.
The balcony is furnished with patio furniture where we often have our coffee in the morning while we reflect on the beauty of the sea and the scenery of the mountains beyond the bay. Some mornings offer views of cruise ships arriving into port. Peacefulness does not begin to describe the feeling of sitting on our patio whether for coffee in the morning or a glass of wine in the evening. We often have our meals on the patio as well while enjoying the view and the sound of the bay. The ceiling fan on the balcony helps to keep unwanted flying pests away.
We have two full bedrooms with two full bathrooms. The primary bedroom offers a king size bed, wardrobe closet with drawers and reading lights. Opening the windows will allow you to hear the relaxing sound of the surf from the bay as you doze to sleep. The ensuite bathroom has lots of storage for your home away from home. The second bedroom has two queen size beds with a closet, chest of drawers and a safe. The bathroom also is quite large and offers lots of space to spread out. Both bathrooms offer very nice size tiled showers with contemporary rain shower heads. Both bathrooms and bedrooms have windows that open and both bedrooms have ceiling fans and A/C.
The living room offers a full sofa and love seat with plenty of seating, coffee table, cable TV, Internet, DVD player with A/C and ceiling fans. One can sit in the living room, with the patio door open and listen to the gentle sounds of the ocean water and the chirping of parrots.
If you prefer to rent a car, we offer your own reserved designated parking space. Getting to SJDS is a mere 2-2.5 hour drive from the airport in Managua. Or if you prefer to fly into Liberia airport in Costa Rica, we are a short 40 minute drive north from the border. Car rentals are available at the airports or you can let us know that you would like to have arrangements to have a passenger van and driver transport you from either airport. Depending on the amount of passengers, airport transport from Managua is approximately $80 - $120 US each way.
Our condo offers a full kitchen including full refrigerator, cook top, oven, coffee maker, blender, microwave, eating and cooking utensils and everything you would need to cook full meals (including the fish you may want to go out and catch). We also offer a housekeeper/cook for approximately $20 a day if you wish to have someone take care of you. There is a breakfast bar, which seats four, where you can overlook your chef making dinner.
The club house offers BBQ's, patio lounges, an infinity swimming pool and a jacuzzi/spa. You will have direct access to the beach from one of the gated areas to walk into town, swim in the ocean, or gather shells. You can have as much or as little privacy as you want. While many of the guests are Nicaraguans, many are also foreigners. We have visitors from the United States, Canada, Europe and Australia. Most of the business owners in town speak and understand English so there is little chance of any communication problems. For our German guests, Kerstin will gladly greet you in your native language.
If you are looking for a relaxing vacation (with optional excursions if you wish) this is the perfect location. As we are on the 4th floor, we offer both stairs and an elevator for your convenience. Our condo has 24/7 manned security throughout the gated community.
You will not find a rental in SJDS that offers the amenities of being steps from the beach while relaxing in a fabulous clubhouse or the infinity pool. We are the only complex in SJDS that allows our guests to prepare their own meals while being able to enjoy their meal and drinks on the balcony with views of the ocean, the beach, the mountains, and the lush green scenery, yet being just steps from the beach. No car is necessary to enjoy all the amenities the beach and town has to offer. As they say, it is all about the location and our little piece of heaven has it all.
*Please note that all utilities are included with the exception of electricity which is paid in cash at time of check-out. (Cost kWh / $.30 US) Thank you for your understanding.
In addition to all the amenities that we have to offer, we do ask our guests to adhere to the following rules:
*Our check-in time is between 3 pm and 7 pm. You can coordinate with Kerstin, our property manager for the exact time you would like to meet her.
*We ask that you please review the inventory list handed to you when you check-in and check-out and please report any missing or damaged items during your stay. Kerstin and her assistant Elizabeth are always available to take your calls.
*If you chose to take food and drinks to the pool area / club house, please dispose of any leftovers in the designated garbage cans or take it back to the apartment. Please dispose of any trash daily in the garbage chute which is behind the elevator, half way up or half way down the stairs.
*Quiet time is from 10:30 pm - 7 am. The owners and fellow guests thank you in advance.
*This is a no smoking unit. Please do not smoke inside the apartment, the hallways or balcony.
*Unfortunately no pets are allowed including support animals. This is a rule imposed by the HOA.
*Please leave passports and other personal items of value inside the safe that is provided. Do not take valuables to the beach and please do not leave personal items unattended at the pool. We cannot take responsibility for lost or stolen items.
*The apartment has been thoroughly cleaned and disinfected prior to your arrival per Covid 19 guidelines. Additional cleaning and/or cooking service can be arranged for a fee and Kerstin will be happy to coordinate that service for you. The Management of the HOA asks both owners and guests to use masks in common areas and to use hand sanitizer regularly.
*Upon returning to the apartment from the beach or pool, please do not sit on the furniture if wet.
*Please do not leave children unattended on the balcony.
*Please do not hang anything on the balcony railing. The clothes dryer is available for towels and clothing for anything you wish to dry.
*Please use our pool towels for the pool, club house or beach. Please do not take the bath towels outside of the apartment. There will be a $20 US charge for each missing towel.
*Our development is a great environment for families. For your safety and for the safety of all owners and guests, there are no visitors or other guests allowed into the complex other than those that are on the VBRO contract and the guest registration form that you must complete prior to arrival.

Por qué eligió esta propiedad
One just needs to see our property to understand why we fell in love with it. The convenience of being right on the beach, yet having the convenience of an infinity pool with a hot tub, makes this a water-lovers fantasy. We are close enough to town to be able to walk it, yet far enough from the noise of the bars and restaurants.

The unique benefits of our property is that it is right on the beach. Most rentals in SJDS are either up in the hills or require a car. La Talanguera is steps from the sand, water and a short walk along the beach to town. No car is necessary! You will not find another property in SJDS like ours!! Most importantly, we have 24/7 manned security which is comforting when traveling to a foreign country. We also have the most amazing property managers that are only a phone call away to answer any questions you may have during your stay.
