Our little place by the lake- Ski Alpine or Wilmot in Winter!

Charming, cozy little place by the lake in Cedar Park Estates. Our hope is that you will love our little place as much as we do! One block away from private beach on Brown's Lake. An hour away from Chicago. 16 miles from Lake Geneva.

Plenty to do year round. Boat, fish and swim, in the summer. Ice fish, snowmobile and Ski in the winter - Alpine Valley (14 miles away) and Wilmot Mountain (15 miles away).

Sleeps 5 on main floor (ask me about beds in the basement) with one queen in the bedroom. Reclining sleeper sofas(queen and full) in the family room. (can sleep 6 with two on each couch)

Perfect for My Writing Get-a-Way

I wanted somewhere quiet where I could write and study as well as run on a rails-to-trails trail, and this Brown's Lake property provided everything that I wanted. It is compact and efficient. It has a nice kitchen, dining room table with plenty of room for my monitor and keyboard, a reading desk, and sofas for chilling or napping. The nearby White River State Park trail is great for distance runs (14 miles round trip) - flat and straight as an arrow.

Everything you need

This cute, comfy, and clean little house has everything you need. We were in the area visiting family and this was the perfect home base for us. Owners are accommodating and responsive and even were very forgiving when we accidentally took a pair of their shoes home with us!

Peaceful lake getaway

We enjoyed this peaceful, quiet, clean getaway near Browns lake. Though mid-winter, we were able to walk around the lake and neighborhood, a nice break from the work week.

Quiet and comfortable

Delightful and comfortable

We loved everything about our stay. It felt like a home and we had everything we needed. The owners were very helpful with any questions we had. It was a wonderful experience for us. Our children really enjoyed the private beach.

Great One-Bedroom Home

My wife and I stayed here for a quick weekend getaway. It's a very comfortable one-bedroom home with easy access to Brown's Lake (3-minute walk) and Lake Geneva just a 25-minute drive away. Burlington is also a cute town with a cool coffee shop. Overall, we had a great time.

Nice spot

Photos online were a little miss leading. Made us feel like the place was on the lake. When in fact it was .25 mile away. But nice inside

Very nice little cottage

My husband and I stayed here for 6 days in late October, so it was too chilly to really appreciate the lake and the beautiful surroundings, but I'm sure a summer stay would be delightful. It was clean and well stocked with cooking utensils. The reclining couches were very comfortable, as was the bed. Nice grocery stores and restaurants nearby in Burlington. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others.

Cute, clean house

The house was the perfect place for our mother-daughter get-a-way. It was very clean, had everything needed and was close to places of interest in the area. I would definitely recommend to others staying in the area.

Comfortable and accomodating

The cottage was in great shape and had all of the necessities you needed when wanting to have a relaxing retreat from the city. My friends and I loved having the beach nearby, as well as a bonfire pit - we certainly had our day full with fun activities! Thank you so much for offering the home to us!

Perfect weekend spot!

We loved this little house on Brown's lake for a weekend getaway. Lake Geneva was only a 20 minute Uber away, and in the morning walking down to Brown's lake was beautiful. Our only criticism is that this definitely cannot sleep up to 6, unless one of your 6 wants to sleep in the basement that doesn't connect to the main house, even then we'd say maximum 5 people. There is one big couch, one loveseat, and one queen bed in the house itself. Overall though, 5 stars no question. The price was perfect, and for two friends the size was very comfortable. We will definitely look at this property in the future!

Perfect stay at Browns Lake

Just spent nine fabulous days at this pretty cosy cottage. We had everything we needed and more. We loved our days at the private lake just a minutes walk away. Lots to do there for our eleven year old daughter who loved swimming in the clear water. Evenings were spent with the barbecue around the firepit watching the fireflys light up. Lots to do from visits to twin lakes, lake Geneva and Burlington. The house was so well maintained, everything you need for a lengthy stay. Thank you so much we had the best time.

Cute small cottage located close to a beautiful lake and beach

Great neighborhood Quiet and peaceful. Cottage has a well stocked kitchen and very comfortable bed to sleep in. Owner was available and quick to respond when I called him about an issue

Cozy Lake House

Visited the house for a long weekend with our family of 4. The house is incredibly well kept and has everything you could need. Its just down the street from a cute park and beach. We brought our boat and enjoyed our days on the lake. I would definitely recommend this home.

Quiet and peace in a very comfortable cabin

The place was really nice, fully equipped, central heating (making it a year-round vacation spot). The cabin was super clean and well maintained, you could enjoy it the minute you walked in. I had one question and the response was fast, so everything was perfect!!The only thing that did not meet my expectations was the fireplace, since it is the gas one with the background screen. It still gets 5 stars since it was just a detail, my experience was excellent anyway since we had a bonfire in the beautiful back yard to make up for it.I will go back there again, this cabin will be always special to me since we got engaged there that weekend For future travellers, don't think twice and book this place if you want a peaceful time without having to worry about anything!Thanks KimJosie

Perfect Little House

Extremely nice property with every amenity required for a long stay. The property is within driving distance of all the touristic destinations and has its own prestine lake.

We've been coming to Brown's Lake for over 5 years. Have made some awesome memories at this lake. We are a blended family with 6 kids. Which is why we are now offering our little place to others - kids activities are making it harder for us to get there as much as we would like. We call this home our Sanctuary and truly love it!

Qué distingue a esta propiedad

The house is small but has good size kitchen, family room and bathroom. There is plenty of room for an air mattress on the main floor. There is only one bedroom; however the family room has two sofa beds (actually recline to beds). There is plenty of room for a family yet cozy enough for just the two of you! There is a cute little downtown area in Burlington. Enjoy long walks or bike rides or just sit back and relax!
