Enjoy A 17 Acre Lake At The Cash Lodge

This lodge now has high-speed Starlink internet and one jon boat and one paddle boat per reservation is free to use. Find your piece of paradise at the Carver Lake Lodge in Perryville, MO. Swim in our private 17 acre lake, use our new floating swim platform, hike the trails, and fish in the lake stocked with large mouth bass, channel catfish, and bluegill. Our property consists of 100 acres with use of our own private 17 acre lake. The Cash Lodge can sleep up to 4 people comfortably. Master w/ queen bed, second bedroom with bunk beds, and a sofa sleeper in the family room. Has lake views on the huge deck and a full kitchen with stainless appliances. Check out the Taylor Lodge if you want wireless internet and satellite TV. Close to Castor River, state parks, Taum Sauk, Johnson's Shut-Ins, Millstream Gardens, Pickle Springs, Elephant Rocks, and many wineries. Enjoy fishing or sitting on the deck overlooking the lake. You can also check out the natural 30 foot waterfall (weather permitting) or hike along the private hiking trails leading throughout the property. There are 2 lodges here at opposite ends of the lake so there may be another family there during your stay. They are 1,200 feet apart but you may see each other when enjoying the rest of the farm. Cell phone service is spotty. Pets are not allowed due to my kids severe allergies. NOTE: Vrbo incorrectly listed this house as having internet but it DOES NOT. The other lodge, the Taylor Lodge has internet and satellite TV if you are interested in those amenities. Swimming in the lake, use of the paddle and jon boats, and use of the bunk beds are at your own risk and we will be held harmless for any injuries or any other damages or claims resulting from the use of these items. For Guests and Family - “Carver Lake Lodge Fishing is Catch and Release Only! It’s a Family Friendly Environment where everyone enjoys catching a fish.”

Perfect getaway!

This was our second time to this little lake house. We floated around, swam, hiked to the waterfall, and spotted two bald eagles. The house is great, with nice furnishings. The dock is great.

Autumn Getaway

We loved the cabin we rented from Dan and his family. In one word it was idyllic. Our 4 year old loved the trails, the waterfall, fishing on the lake and s’mores by the campfire. It was a very peaceful and a much needed get away. We will definitely book there again!

Fish, swim and relax!

Just got back from our second stay at this location. Our family rented both cottages and therefore had the entire location to ourselves. All of us swam, fished , hiked and hardly touched our electronic devices! Your cottage and outside needs are all there. Just bring some worms and your bathing suit. I highly recommend this VRBO. BTW, bring your food in as the nearest grocery store is about a 20 minute ride!

Wonderful as always

This was our 3rd stay. We have now stayed in Spring, Summer, and fall! This location is absolutely magic all seasons. We have 3 boys and they love it here. They were able to swim already because the lake was warm enough. We caught and released at a few dozen fish. We hope to visit again soon.

Great mini getaway

We had a wonderful trip, we came from the Memphis area and met our Kansas City family here. The home was clean, the view was amazing and the trails were wonderful. Wished the weather was a tad warmer (and I packed warmer clothes) but we still had a great time. WE loved exploring and the lack of internet and cell service was just what our family needed. We visited Crown Valley Winery and the Tiger sanctuary as well-fun and relaxing for all ages.

Perfect Retreat - Carver Lake Lodge (Cash Lodge)

This was the perfect retreat! Even though it was a short stay, we thoroughly enjoyed it. We were so pleased with the accommodations. The house is super clean and nice. It was great to relax in this cozy home while looking out at the beautiful view of the lake. We were lucky to have a rather warm winter day and got to venture out on a hike to the gorgeous waterfall. The expansive deck was a wonderful place to enjoy a glass of wine and savor the tranquility of this idyllic retreat. I would recommend this peaceful paradise again and again. I cannot wait to go back!

Second amazing visit

This was our second visit and we had a great extended weekend at The Carver Lodge again. Our first visit was with our kids during the summer so we did a lot of swimming, fishing, and hiking. This trip we decided to just do a romantic weekend without them, which was much needed for my soul! Lol. We were able to fish all day and relax in the evenings while having deer to watch from the deck. We also look forward to the beavers swimming around the lake and seeing what kind of new structures they have built since last time. The Carvers are seriously the best hosts ever, they always make sure we have everything we need and then some. Thank you again to opening your property to us and allowing us to reset for the next few months. We will be planning a spring visit very soon.

Better than a beach vacation🥰

We had a great long weekend at the lodge. We were greeted by Dan who showed us around the house and made sure we had everything we needed and more. Now about the property and stay. The cabin was perfect for us and has everything you need to stay. The property was beyond amazing! We went fishing every morning, noon, and night! We caught large mouth bass, catfish, and bluegill. We met up with the neighbors and all really had a great visit while there. The boys went on the trail and received their metal, our youngest is still walking around with his on because he’s very proud of doing the hike. The rest of the time we were there, we sat in floats and relaxed in the perfect lake and jumping off the platform in the lake. Honestly we can’t wait to take a couples trip later in the fall for more fishing and relaxing. Thank you for opening your home to us. We will be returning often!

get-away

If you like a rural setting on a small lake and no one around to bother you, this is the place. We had the whole place to ourselves in a gated setting. If you must have wifi, and cell phones and tv, this isn't for you, but if you want to get away from all of these things for a simple, reflective time of peace and quiet, this is a great little , resort-like atmosphere, place to go. It had great accommodations with a nice kitchen with all the necessary applicances and cookware. Will most likely go back again!!

This place is awesome and so relaxing!

My family and I have stayed here 4 years in a row. It is awesome. Really idyllic lake cabin location. Dock and area really well set up. The owners are really responsive and improve the place every year. Close to several nice state park, we do day trips in the morning then just enjoy the lake an property in the afternoon evenings. Really great annual family time for us every summer. I highly recommend this place (or the one at the other side of the lake.

Beautiful Property!

Had another wonderful stay at Carver Lake and Cash Lodge! Thank you for the additional accommodations Dan that were needed for my Father to help enjoy his stay. We had a great time and made priceless memories for our trip. The kids loved fishing and swimming in the lake, I did too! Always a great time and we will be back in Sept! Can't wait!

A perfect weekend unplugged

The Carver family has shared a tranquil family getaway with us listing this property on VRBO. Their love for the property is evident in the neat-as-a-pin, well appointed lodging as well as the nicely maintained outdoor spaces. With well marked trails (complete with maps and landmarks), docks perfect for swimming, fishing and lounging, paddle boats and life preservers, campfires, and tire swing - there’s plenty to entertain while giving up the WiFi and cell signal for time together outdoors. A lovely way to reconnect with our kids at the end of the school year as a kick off to summer!

Great getaway!

We had a wonderful stay over a long weekend. We enjoyed the boats, fishing, hiking the trails, and having a campfire. The property was very well maintained, including the trails. We had a bit of rain but there were games and movies to keep the kids entertained. We look forward to coming back someday!

Wonderful, relaxing time!

The cabin was fine...a place to eat and sleep. It was very clean and well supplied. The property is awesome! The lake was quiet and beautiful. Fishing was plentiful, and I can't wait to hear of someone else catching the 24", 25lb carp that we caught and released! Well worth the 20-minute drive outside of Perryville. We'll return next year!

Perfect Getaway!!!

We absolutely love the property, the lake and the house! This was our 2nd time, and we decided after the 1st time that we would return every year. Beautiful Getaway

We had an amazing time. The property is very well maintained and beautiful. We spent time hiking the trails ( my son loves that he got a medal to keep after completing the hike), swimming, boating and fishing. We enjoyed roasting marshmallows and hot dogs at the fire pit and also had a huge selection of movies to choose from when we had a rainy evening. We will definitely be back!!!

Just what we needed

Exactly the kind of place I want to have! We had a great time! Couldn't get anything on the TV and only VERY occasional phone service outside which meant lots of time IN the lake...nothing better! The house/cabin was clean, up to date and well stocked with the essentials and communication with Dan was great. He provided all the necessary info and answered questions promptly. WE WILL BE BACK!!

Really amazing getaway place

We have stayed here twice. This is a really amazing get away cabin. Lake access and set up are perfect and easy for fishing or lake swimming or just relaxing. The layout of the house and property are well thought out. I love this place!

This 100 acre farm was purchased by the Carver family in 2016. For many years, Dan Carver Jr. (the father) and Dan Carver III (the son) often talked about wanting to own a farm. Needless to say, this was the second farm they looked at, and once they saw it, had to own it. They were impressed with the fact there were two separate lodges at opposite ends of the property, a 17 acre lake stocked with largemouth bass, channel catfish, and bluegill, and a natural 30 foot waterfall with a large plungepool, the sound of which could put you to sleep in minutes. They were also impressed that two spring-fed creeks runs through one whole side of the farm and there were hiking/ATV trails throughout most of the property. The abundant wildlife that often come through the property and lake views from both lodges sealed the deal. The father and son were so excited, in fact, that they made an offer on the farm right then, and quickly realized they would have to go home to explain to their wives what they had done. Fortunately, their wives were excited and quickly went down to see what projects the family should start first to begin making the farm as fun as possible. This farm is a labor of love for the Carvers and they are excited to allow others to enjoy the property by renting out both lodges, the proceeds of which will be reinvested into the farm to continually improve it for future guests. They are excited to share their recent projects on their Facebook page and on the Recent Project Page on this website. Now included free of charge: one jon boat and one paddle boat per reservation is free to use. The Cash Lodge is a 2 bedroom, 1 bath ranch-style lodge that sleeps up to 6 people. It has been completely rehabbed with new central air and heat and offers 720 square feet of cozy country living. Besides the queen bed in the master and the bunk bed in the kids bedroom, there is also a queen-sized sofa sleeper in the family room with an upgraded memory foam mattress. The bathroom offers a tub and shower combo and there are stainless steel appliances consisting of a refrigerator, glass top electric range, over the range microwave, and a dishwasher for your cooking enjoyment. There is no phone, internet, or satellite tv in this lodge. There is, however, an LED TV with a DVD player and a bunch of movies to watch. Brand new sliding doors lead to a stately 360 foot deck with unbelievable views of the lake and ridge, and plenty of outdoor seating to hang out for hours.
