Our Hawaiian-style 3 bedroom 3 bath vacation home is just steps from the sand of beautiful Kailua Beach on the island of Oahu. Hear the sounds of the surf at night and the trade winds through the coconut trees. Relax. Walk on the beach . Swim. Lay in the sun. Enjoy life Hawaiian-style in the beutiful home right next to beach. Our home is designed for a comfortable, casual way of life, whether you just want to kick-back and relax at world-famous Kailua Beach (consistently voted one of the worlds top beaches) or participate in the many activities available. One house back from the beach, our vacation home, Kaapuni Kainani, offers the amenities of beach living without beachfront prices. We're also a short drive over the Pali to Honolulu and the famous beach and nightlife of Waikiki.

Just about everything you need for an outstanding, memorable Hawaiian vacation should be here, down to the beach towels and boogie boards. We have internet, flat screen TVs, and all of the modern conveniences and comforts you expect, plus an ambience and setting that is purely, simply only in Hawaii. Also, brand new split A/C in every bedroom and living room.

The property will be made exclusively available to the renter for a full period of 30 days and no one else may occupy the property during that period. The 30-day rental period will be communicated to guest upon booking. All rates quoted will be based on a 30 day period. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me.

In compliance with the Revised Ordinances of the City & County of Honolulu, the Property will be made available to you for your use and occupancy for a period of thirty (30) days. If you do not stay for the full 30 day period and stay for your scheduled dates the property will remain vacant through the end of the scheduled 30 day period.

**All homes come with a starter set of paper supplies, toilet paper, paper towels, soap, trash bags. Should you run out it is the guests responsibility to supply themselves for their stay.

**ALL QUIET HOURS ARE FROM 9PM - 8AM. PLEASE BE RESPECTFUL OF THE NEIGHBORS THEY DO HAVE TO ATTEND WORK/SCHOOL.

Visit - December 2021

We loved the house! The pictures did not give a sense of the roominess of the home, nor the extensive outdoor space. This house exceeded our expectations in those areas, as well as its proximity to the beach! We also loved the town of Kailua, which has great restaurants, and the access to the highway to get to other parts of the island, If we go back to Oahu, there is no where else we would stay. And, Misty was such a great host! She was easy to reach, and very helpful in all of her responses. Aloha!

Relaxing & Comfortable Near-Beach home

We really enjoyed our stay. The home is comfortably-decorated, with plenty of space to relax - inside and outside. The kitchen was well-stocked with equipment for cooking, so we rarely needed to eat out. We enjoyed working remotely from the dining room table and the lanai. It was nice having 3 bedrooms with 3 baths, so everyone had their own. Close to the beach

Absolutely perfect!

The home exceeded our expectations! Our group consisted of my husband and I, my 24 year old son and his fiancée, and my 15 year old son and his best friend. Perfect set up with basically two master suites (king beds and en suite bathrooms in both) and a room for the boys with two twin beds and attached bathroom. My sister lives in Kailua and my parents were staying in a tiny rental in nearby Lanikai. This home became the place where we could all be together for dinner or just relaxing on the gorgeous covered lanai (great for the short bouts of rain) looking out at the beautifully landscaped (and huge) yard. The size of the front/side yard was perfect for the boys to throw a football, and the fenced back yard was so private and peaceful. Large living and dining areas, good sized kitchen with everything you’d ever need and then some! Also a great grill in the back! The best part for us was the proximity to the beach... the “2 minute walk to the beach” is if you’re walking slowly! It’s a little over a minute down a beautiful access path to the most beautiful and quiet part of Kailua Beach. The house also had so many beach chairs, boogie boards, sand castle building tools, beach umbrellas, snorkel gear for kids, and beach towels! Misty was great, reminded us when to take out which trash/recycle containers and answered our questions very quickly. She even wished us a Happy Valentines Day! I cannot say enough wonderful things about this property!

Perfect Family Escape

This place was fantastic -- the pictures online do not do justice to the spacious, open and comfortable feeling of this home. The house is wonderfully decorated with a real traditional Kailua beach house feel, and we immediately felt right at home. We loved sitting out on the large patio to eat lunch or play cards, and the beach access path to a quieter part of the beach (between Kailua Beach Park and Kalama Beach) is just steps away. The main Kailua Beach Park entrance where Kalapawai Market is and Island Snow is across the street is definitely walkable, our older boys went exploring on their own to get some shave ice. Large front yard for the boys to throw a football around, and beautiful landscaping all around. As importantly, everyone slept well (and even with three kids we had plenty of room to spread out--our two older boys shared a room with twin beds and a TV, and the toddler had his own room; master suite was very spacious with its own large bathroom and patio--big plus that each bedroom has its own full bathroom, although parents of little ones please note no bathtubs--wasn't an issue, our toddler just got used to being hosed down with the detachable shower head!). The house was well stocked with basic supplies and a few snacks when we arrived and had tons of common area seating and dining space. The A/C (in all 3 bedrooms and in the living/dining area) worked great, even though we had some very hot days during our stay, lots of ceiling fans helped too. Laundry outside on the patio was a plus. Property manager was extremely responsive. We really settled in as our "home away from home" and missed it when we went to a Maui resort afterwards--we wished we had planned to stay longer, and definitely hope to stay here again in the future. Thank you for allowing us to stay in your wonderful house!

Wonder stay. Super location

We had a great time. House worked out great for us. Easy walk to the beach (2 minutes). Huge front yard. Nice home. Will stay again next time we visit for sure!

Kailua Beach Steps Away

The best thing about this house is it's proximity to one of the prettiest beaches on Oahu and Hawaii. The house has everything one needs for a great beach vacation. All you have to bring is a bathing suit. Everything else is there.

Slice of Paradise

My husband and I just spent 4 weeks at the Kaapuni “sanctuary” and loved it. Actually, this was our third time at this property. Waking up to the birds singing and having coffee on the lanai was my idea of a perfect Hawaiian morning. We had family come to visit while we were there and the house is a perfect size and set up for 4 adults and 2 children. There are toys galore to take to the beach along with chairs and boogie boards. The kitchen is well-equipped with dishes/utensils – anything that you might want. The grill is a super one and we used it many nights that we were there. The attention to decorating detail is pretty awesome – lots of beautiful paintings and wall hangings. King beds – very comfortable – in two of the bedrooms and twin beds in the third bedroom. There are fans in all of the rooms which keep the temps comfortable. This was the first visit that I wished that there was a/c available in at least one of the rooms – not because of heat, but because we had a long spell of rainy damp weather when a/c could have provided some drying out relief – not the owners’ fault, just Mother Nature. The upside was that even when it was raining torrentially, we could sit on the lanai and stay dry and watch all the beautiful plants turn even greener than they already were! Washer/dryer/dishwasher work well. We had 2 small maintenance issues while we were there, but the property manager addressed them in a most timely way. The grounds of this home and the proximity to the beautiful beach are reason enough to spend time here. Highly recommend this property for its location, comfort, beautiful surroundings.

Wonderful Relaxed Oahu Vacation

We absolutely loved our stay in Kailua, The home had everything we needed when we arrived. It was perfect for our group of three couples with the fabulous beach only a short walk away. Downtown Kailua, also just a short walk away, has everything you need. Don't miss the Farmers Market on Thursday evening- a great sampling of fresh local foods. We will certainly return next year

Not ready to leave

Sadly, my family has reached the end of our stay in this lovely home. We have loved feeling at home here, the 100-yard walk to the beach, the comfortable beds, and the well-furnished kitchen. We have loved the location: less than a mile from charming Kailua, far removed from the hustle and bustle of downtown Honolulu yet close enough if you want to have a sunset dinner at Duke's. Selfishly, I probably shouldn't be giving a good review because I want to make sure it's available the next time I come to Hawaii! Thanks Misty! You've been wonderful to work with.

Great location - charming house

My family and I had a wonderful vacation at this cozy house in Kailua. Location is hard to beat - just about 20 steps down a quiet road to a private beach access path. The beach was gorgeous and much less crowded some of the other spots in town. Terrific body surfing waves too. The common areas of the house are bigger than appear in the photos - plenty of space for a family of 3 adults and 3 children. Lots of enclosed outdoor spaces for the kids to safely run around in. Furniture, fixtures and appliances are a bit dated and worn, but they were comfortable enough and give the house some charm. Misty was also very responsible and easy to work with.

Wonderful!!

Six of us stayed for one week at this fabulous house! There was plenty of room and had everything you could ever want/need for cooking, entertaining, beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, etc...... Lots of fans to stay cool and only one house off the beach!! It was awesome and we will be returning!!!

Beautiful house, wonderfully furnished, great location to nearby beach and to Kailua town

Everything you need! Our grandsons, 5 and 2, loved the twin bedroom and the safe and lovely lanai/garden and beach. Fencing make it great for kids. Kitchen well furnished with lovely dishes. Beach chairs, toys, umbrellas and boogie boards furnished. Design of house good for quiet sleep. Lanai beautiful for meals and lounging in the shade.

Charming, Aloha-friendly Home in Kailua Beach

My family and I rented the Kaapuni home and were pleasantly surprised. The home has an authentic Hawaiian feel, the true gracious Aloha spirit was felt throughout the home and the lush gardens. The kitchen was complete with every utensil, sets of dishes, plates, platters and small appliances and even a BarBQue. We had our dinners in the outdoor patio, and we played ball and relaxed in the front gardens. The 1 minute walk to Kailua Beach made it easy for early morning jogs, and full days playing in the waves.

Charming home, half minute walk to most beautiful beach on island, family friendly , not very crowde

Great neighborhood, steps to gorgeous beach, go back and forth all day. Beach is full of families and lots of space, quiet and peaceful on the beach.Kailua beach is the most beautiful beach on the island, it was never crowded, and very clean. Minutes drive from house to good restaurants and a Whole Foods store, shopping, etc. ,very convenient .We loved the location. Safe neighborhood. Hear the waves from your bedroom. Nice back yard with beautiful landscaping and fragrant blooming plumeria, well kept. My only complaint is that the next door neighbor is right on top of you just behind the fence, and she is VERY loud. Not sure why but she plays music loudly, sits on her back porch , singing, talking on the phone and being generally very loud. I could hear her every word from my bedroom window and was actually woken up by her talking in the morning. We were at the mercy of her music selection.I was amazed that one person could be so loud and obnoxious. I almost felt like she was doing it on purpose!!! Other than that the house was great, with all amenities (no A/C, which means you have to keep windows open, hence hearing neighbor's every word) Very clean , well kept and classy. A bit pricy for not being directly on the beach I think.Unfortunately I probably wouldn't rent the house again due to the noise obtrusion. I was happy to leave and return to my own quite home, but left the beach behind reluctantly.

Location, Location, Location

A two minute walk from this comfortable well furnished house brings you to one of the best beaches in the world. This house has all the amenities - a well stocked kitchen, 3 comfortable bedrooms and bathrooms, beach chairs, boogie boards, beach umbrella, beautiful yard and great outdoor living and eating space. Misty was informative and easy to work with. This is my second stay at Kaapuni Kainani, and I am looking forward to returning next year.
