Welcome to the Sherman Inn. Our beautifully restored farmhouse is the perfect get-away for couples, families, and friends. Conveniently located off 95 and Route 11, yet perfectly nestled on a 2 acre lot surrounded by apple trees and a maple grove. More importantly, the ATV trails leading straight into Canada are just next door! A prime location for hunting and fishing.

Come and relax, enjoy the scenery, wildlife, a campfire, or just a game of Cribbage!


About the Property: 3 Large Bedrooms: Towels and bedding provided.

We will provide names and numbers of 'On-Site' caterers who will come and prepare warm meals ready for you after a long day of snowmobiling, fishing or hunting!!


In Closing: Located in the friendly town of Sherman, Maine. An in-town grocery store is just 2 miles away, An Irving gas station is just a small distance from the property.

Millinocket is just 15 minutes South, with Mt. Katahdin and Baxter State Park just around the corner, about 30 miles from Sherman Inn. Canada and Houlton are 30 minutes North of the property.

Come and enjoy all that Northern Maine has to offer, from kayaking to canoeing, hiking to biking, hunting to fishing, and x-country skiing to snowmobiling. This is sure to be a trip you will not forget!

This was our second year in a row staying at The Sherman Inn. It is a lovely property, complete with blueberries to pick and enjoy. The house is spacious, very clean with a great kitchen. We throughly enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay. We were able to check in early. The house was right next to the snowmobile trail and there was plenty of room for our trucks and trailers to park. The ping pong table was a big hit.

Cozy and spacious- perfect for family time

We had such an amazing stay! Was up with my partner and parents for the Millinocket Marathon & Half, we loved the location just off the highway and had plenty of space. The holiday decorations were so lovely! We had an incredible weekend and will definitely be back.

Another wonderful trip

We enjoyed another wonderful trip to Sherman with our fur baby Sadie (5 yr chocolate lab). We have stayed here before and everything was as expected.

Sherman Inn/Motel trip #2

Second year spending a long weekend with friends. Perfect place for our group and the accommodations cannot be beat. Reservations made for 2024 just need Mother Nature to provide us with some cold and snow Thanks

Lovely home with lots of amenities nearby. Plenty of room for our party of 7. Was disappointed that the pet policy changed after our booking. Overall had a great time at the Sherman Inn!

Snowmobiling Family Vacation

The house has everything you need for your time off. Very comfortable and accommodating place to stay and relax regardless of the nature of your visit. The property manager is very receptive of your needs.

Week of snowmobiling in southern Aroostook

We had a great time staying at the Sherman Inn for our snowmobiling vacation. We had 9 adults, and found the house had plenty of room for everyone. The house was extremely clean, and equipped with everything you’d need for everyday living. I would definitely recommend staying at the Sherman Inn!

Great place, clean and very comfortable. Well stocked with everything you may need. Only issue is that the listing stated 15 minutes from Millinocket and it’s actually 35. Otherwise, excellent

Room to spare

We absolutely loved this house. Our favorite room was the sunroom where we sat and drank our coffee in the morning and watched the horse and buggies go by. There were so many sitting areas though that each had their own personality. The decorations in the house were beautiful and we loved all the books about Christianity. I personally tried 3 of the beds and they were all extremely comfortable. I would highly recommend this rental. I would definitely go stay there again.

I am partial since it was once my grandparents home however the location for visiting as a family is great with indoor and outdoor spaces to spread out. It is also easy to get out to local places like Patten, Oakfield and KWW. Brenda’s restaurant down the road had great foods or you can whip something up in the kitchen. I am an early riser so sipping my morning coffee in the sunroom always a special treat.
