Don't let your time here feel like it is 'Wasted Time.' As soon as you walk in the front door, all your worries will melt away and you can focus on the important things - grilling, fishing, swimming, and relaxing. Our house enjoys beach views from the front steps and the back balcony. Gaze off the back balcony to a tranquil pond with a sparkling fountain.

Our house is located at the beautiful Pointe West resort on the west end of Galveston Island. Pointe West is a master planned development with private beach and is a one-of-a-kind location on the island. Our house is less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and we are a 20 minute walk to the Beach Club, or a 2 minute drive in the golf cart. The Beach Club is truly a resort, with pools, a lazy river, hot tub, nature walk, restaurant, bar, fitness center, etc. The Beach Club charges $25.00 per person (4 and older) for the length of your stay. YOU WILL ONLY BE ABLE TO PURCHASE 9 WRISTBANDS.

'Wasted Time' is designed to make you and your family comfortable. Cable TV and a DVD player are in the living room, the master bedroom, and the bunk bedroom for your enjoyment. All TV's are also equipped with Netflix. You'll find wireless high-speed internet and long distance calls in the US at no extra charge. Feel free to pack light, we have a washer and dryer for you to do a quick load of laundry. ***PETS STAY FREE***

Downstairs in the garage you will find everything you need for the beach; chairs, canopy tent, boogie boards and a wagon to take it all with you. You will also find a patio underneath the house complete with picnic table, chairs, hammock, and a charcoal grill for you to enjoy. All you need to do is bring yourself, we have the rest taken care of. For those of you with small children, we also have a stroller and pack-n-play for your convenience. We also have a 6 passenger golf cart that IS INCLUDED in your rental rate. Please feel free to use it to go to the Beach Club or to explore Pointe West. **NOTE: the golf cart CANNOT be driven on the beach!**

Seven Seas Grocery Store is the closest fully stocked grocery store and is 7 miles from the house. The Strand, Pleasure Pier, Academy Sports, Walmart, Randalls, and the rest of Galveston is approximately 30 minutes from the house.

*NOTE: I have no sub-agents renting my property for me and you will only deal with me. Rent with confidence if you are renting from me through VRBO or Homeaway.

Great Stay!

Really enjoyed staying at this house. We always love the beach club and come to this area annually. The golf cart made the stay extra fun this year. Everything was great and we will look to stay in this house again next year.

Family vacation

Great time, great place, loved the beach and the club pool. This place had everything you could possibly need with the exception of food and spirits. They really thought of everything to make your stay a great one! I would love to rent this place again!

Great stay

We (two teenage daughters) came for our spring break. The overall place was perfect for the 4 of us. We loved the resort amenities and being able to use the pools and the on-site restaurant. The location is a good 20 mins from the main drag of Galveston - we liked that is was a bit quieter and we could choose to go to the more active area of town. Highly recommend!

Perfect Getaway for Thanksgiving

Perfect family vacation spot!

Great house, great location! Clean, organized and owner quickly replied to any questions! Loved riding the golf cart around in the evenings, and the house is steps away from the beach walkover! Would definitely go back to this house!

Our little family

We took our son and a couple of his friends before they start college. House is good proximity to beach. Boys enjoyed playing ping pong at night. Owner gave good details and responded quickly to any questions.

Absolutely Amazing

The house was clean and probably the most well stocked with amenities I have ever seen in a vacation home. Would 100% recommend to anyone. Whether you are going by your self, a couples get away, or with family and friends, there is plenty to do or just peace and quiet! Host was extremely responsive and everything was just as good or better then listed.

Winter stay with my wife

Enjoyed our stay, everything we needed was there, short walk to the beach and a short drive to the pool. They had a golf cart on site but we didn’t use it. House was clean and cozy. Will stay again if we get the chance.

Great spring break retreat

Lovely home- we’ll taken care of and owners thought of everything and had great communication. Our teenage son loved having a golf cart to take to the gym. A little too cold for swimming while we were there but was still plenty to do!

Second stay at Wasted Time

This was our second time staying at the property in two years. We love the location in proximity to the beach, amenities, pools, and floor plan. The golf cart and ping pong table are an added bonus! Lovely home

Great little house in an awesome development with pools, hot tubs and lots of amenities. Our host has gone out of his way to provide most everything you could possibly need. From all the necessities of a house to beach toys and even a ping pong table and six person golf carts. Just a delightful place.

Our family (dad, mom, sister, brother-in-law, brother, sister-in-law, my wife and I) realized our dream of owning a beach house. We are originally from California, but now live in Dodge City, Kansas, Garden Plain, Kansas, and Henderson, Kentucky. Two are nurses, two are doctors, and two are attorneys. Our parents did an exceptional job raising us and we are glad we get to enjoy our house with them!
