Great beach house!

This house couldn't get any closer to the beach! It's a lovely, cozy beach house that was perfect for our family (2 kids, 2 parents and 1 grandma). The kitchen was well stocked. The cozy furnishings weren't the newest but everything worked and was comfortable.

Awesome place with a total beach/ocean view

What a view! Wonderfully relaxing sitting on the 2nd floor deck with a totally unobstructed view of the beach/ocean! The place was super clean and extraordinarily well supplied with dishes, cutlery, even stem ware for wine and such! Very impressed. Andrew was great to work with...quick to communicate. Our stay was the highlight of my wife's birthday. Thanks Andrew!

Peaceful Seaside Sanctuary

We loved the scene and the uninterrupted view of the surf. We barely explored the island -- we've been many times -- because the location was so perfect and the house provided all the comforts. We would have appreciated fluffier pillows and fresher calk around the 2nd bathroom floor, but such things were minor in light of the perfect location, the comfy bed and the the well-equipped kitchen. We hope to return.

Great pre-cruise stay

My wife & 2 kiddos (4 & 2) made this our home base for a few days prior to boarding a cruise. This home was so great! the rooms had plenty of space for our family, and the living room was a great size for our kiddos to play. The deck & the view is absolutely incredible! We didn't get to enjoy it as much as we had hoped since the weather was chilly/windy/foggy during our entire stay, but we were able to take a couple family walks on the beach right out the front door. What an amazing location!Some of the appliances/kitchen amenities could use some updating, but that didn't take away from the overall stay. We ran into an issue with the dryer that the host worked to help find solutions for - communication was prompt and greatly appreciated.We'd definitely recommend this home for anyone looking for a beach getaway in Galveston!

Excellent views with a kind and responsive host

I really needed the peace that came with listening to the waves and that view and beach access was amazing. Our family made beautiful memories. Any issues that came up the host was super kind and responsive.

Nice Vacay

Location can’t be beat right on the beach with killer sunrises. The 3BD/2BA was nice and comfortable for the four of us. Its condition could use some work tho - the washer/dryer didn’t work, there’s a ceiling panel on the porch that is falling, and there is peeling wallpaper and paint inside

Stunning view on a serene beachfront.

Nestled right on a serene beachfront, it offers stunning views and the soothing sound of waves. The peaceful surroundings make it perfect for a relaxing getaway. The accommodations are clean and comfortable. We had a great getaway.

Great Getaway Weekend

Have to say this was the perfect location to get away...far enough from the seawall congestion yet close enough to make a short trip into town if needed. The first row view of the Gulf was second to none, and I believe we spent most of our time on the long, covered porch watching and listening to the waves roll in and out. Everything we needed was in the house...plenty of room, comfortable and clean. It was the perfect place to spend the weekend. Thank you

Wonderful Location!

We stayed there October 13-17 and had a wonderful time. The location is awesome and the house is clean. There are some basic maintenance type things (painting, etc) that could be done and the sofa needs to be replaced but I read that it was already in the works. We will definitely book there again.

House great location great. Need to spray yard for Sandbur stuckers. Came out barefoot headed to beach and yard had a lot of stickers. Overall great experience.

Family vacation

My sister, her toddler, my husband and I rented this for the weekend. The location is absolutely perfect. We were able to leave our det up on the beach all day and view it from the porch of the property when we went inside for lunch. As others have noted there is a lot of wear and tear on the property maybe made worse by recent hurricane beryl. The couches are extremely worn and at a minimum would recommend replacing the slip covers.

Beautiful view

Was a really nice beach area. Nothing in front to obstruct. Had trouble with wifi and tv but we survived. Host was easy to get a hold of. Great vacation and lots of fun.

LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION!

Annual family trip. House was very clean and the location was awesome! Great for quick trips to the grocery store or in town for some fun activities. Only suggestion is to replace the sofas, as they seemed very worn out. Would stay again for sure!

3rd time we rented.

We came back for our 3rd stay and love the location, the view, the stocking of basic items, the porch again, tv in each room, cozy layout of house. Love the view. Maybe needs freshened up a bit compared to our first years.

Perfect location!

We loved staying at this house right on the water with beach access right out front. The covered patio was perfect in all weather. The house was well stocked and the beds were so comfortable. We look forward to returning!

Mundy and Andrew live in houston and have 3 wonderful children, Meg , Noah and Madeline. Andrew grew up in South Africa and spent many vacations at the beach fishing, scuba diving and hunting for crabs and shells as a child. He lived in Canada for many years and is so happy to be back near a beach again. Mundy grew up in Brenham texas and lived on a ranch for most of her youth... she loves the outdoors.
After we spent several vacations in Galveston we decided to find a special place we could call home... we hope you enjoy it as much as we do.

We live in Houston and have been renting houses in galveston for years and decided we wanted to keep coming back on a more regular basis.

It was important for us and our kids (little legs) to have a beach front property to minimise the walk to the beach and back. we wanted a quiet , pedestrian only beach, far enough away from the main tourist areas but close enough to grocery stores, restaurants and entertainment if we wanted to venture into town.

This small community of homes is perfect for our family and yours and great for kids who want to look for shells, fish, hunt for crabs, build sand castles
The water is shallow and the waves are small and easy for the children to play and swim in.

There is something about waking up to the sound of the waves, smelling the ocean air as you sip on your morning coffee relaxing on the covered porch watching the Pelicans fly by .
We love to cook and BBQ and the kitchen provides an ocean view and tends to be the social hub when were inside.
