Very beautiful property which was a true joy to just be in. We felt it was good value for money and had no issues. Only minor comments would be lack of salt, pepper, oil and toiletries in the shower.

Burnie Brae is an amazing place to stay - it’s huge, luxurious with a fabulous shower, an incredibly well stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and a great location.

I love this property, such a classic old home, beautifully maintained, perfect for a special weekend in Katoomba! Comfortable and spacious, in a great location on a quiet street with plenty of street parking, only a 2 minute drive or short walk to the centre of town. Can't wait to visit again!

Perfect mountain getaway

My partner and I and his 80 year old parents had a brilliantly relaxing stay in Michael‘s house. It is charming, quiet and had everything we needed for a perfect getaway.

We had a superb stay at Burnie Brae! It's a quick walk from the train station, and easily accessible to everything in Katoomba. Our host was very responsive and accommodating. And, of course, it was a lovely home with beautiful period accents, comfortable furnishings, and a lovely garden surrounding it. We spent a very pleasant afternoon just enjoying the mountain air out on the wraparound porch. Our favorite stay in 2.5 weeks exploring Australia — cannot recommend it highly enough!

Charming mountain getaway

Charming, warm mountain home, this house was great for a few relaxing days in the mountains. Well furnished and very comfortable, the house had everything we needed in a quiet but convenient location. We would definitely stay here again.

Lovely stay in a quaint well equipped cottage

Comfortable, warm and clean, Burnie Brae is within easy reach of shops and mountain attractions. It has all the equipment you need, spacious rooms and communication with owner was seamless.

Great location. Easy walk into town. Grand house with all modern conveniences. Quietest house we've ever stayed in. Comfy beds. The air con was essential as the mountains went from extreme heat to cold and foggy. Will happily return.

The owner was extremely accommodating and very responsive. The fitting out of the lounge and dining areas was opulent but would be a concern with young children. Highly recommended for adult guests.

Burnie Brae is a beautifully restored house with everything we needed for a wonderful week's stay. It is conveniently close to town, but very peaceful and private. Micheal is a very responsive, kind host and the information he provided was invaluable. Definitely recommended. We look forward to staying again.
