Enjoy the beauty of Palenville and the Catskills, in any season. Here you'll find everything your family and friends need for a perfect getaway. Enjoy our beautifully landscaped yard and hot tub. Fall asleep to the sound of a nearby waterfall.

Spend a summer week grilling on the deck, enjoying a thunderstorm from the front porch, playing games in the private, landscaped back yard, touring quiet shaded roads on our two mountain bikes, reading in the hammock, cooling off in nearby swimming holes, and roasting marshmallows around the fire pit.

In winter, enjoy the woodstove, the fully stocked kitchen and large dining room table, ping pong, pop-a-shot, and a perfect sledding hill. Minutes from the Thruway. Convenient to Hunter Mountain, Saugerties, HITS, and Woodstock.

No pets please. Must include weekend night or minimum rental charge $1500 plus fees. Property is 4 bedrooms + futon and sofa in finished basement.

Had a very nice stay. We were in town for horse show at HITS and house was about 12 mins away. There was a plumbing issue and host was extremely responsive and got it handled right away, which we greatly appreciated. Would stay again.

The pictures do not do this place justice. It’s warm and inviting, very spacious and well stocked. We have a ladies group up for some summer hiking and exploring local spots. Nice quiet area. The kitchen table being so generously sized made for a great night of cards when the weather wouldn’t cooperate for outdoor excursions.

A beautiful property with plenty of room to spread out and entertain. Certain areas of the home are a bit worn and could use some deep cleaning but overall a great experience. Wished there were curtains or blinds in the basement bedrooms and tissues in the bathrooms. Primary bedroom on upper level does not have dedicated AC unit, so felt a bit stuffy.

Guys trip

Great location near Hunter mountain. Super clean and spacious. Plenty of room to spread out and relax. Hot tub and fire pit added to a wonderful experience.

Beautiful well appointed dream home

Exceeded our expectations. More comfortable and we’ll stocked than any other vacation home we’ve stayed at. Two couples and three young children were easily accommodated with room for more if we had needed.

Week of outdoor fun after attending a wedding in Beacon

Just wonderful! Beautiful setting with nice amenities! Location is convenient to hiking trails and shopping. Our favorites were Kaaterskills Falls, Overlook Mountain and Woodstock. Local eateries, Two Brothers Pizza and Circle W sandwiches both quite tasty and close.

Very nice property!

Great house. Had everything we needed. Most rooms and beds were adequate. Kitchen was well stocked. Great information provided on things to do. Futon and pull-out couch in basement are not for sleeping.

Thank you for staying with us. We hope you had a great time! To clarify for prospective renters, our home sleeps eight in beds in four bedrooms (king, queen, queen, two twins.) In addition, we have a full-sized futon in our finished basement with a down mattress topper, sheets, pillows, and duvet comforter. This can comfortably sleep two children or one adult. The pullout couch is not advertised as a bed, nor included in the number of people accommodated in our home.

Family Holiday

We had a lovely time at the house for a family winter holiday over a long weekend - there’s a lot to do inside the house as well as nearby despite the cold! Peter is very communicative and quick to respond to any questions. The house is spacious and clean, would love to return in the summer to try other activities!

Beautiful home, relaxing time

From the minute we booked our stay, it was so easy to communicate with the owner, Peter. The house itself is stunning and was a perfect place for 6 friends to go to for a relaxing weekend. The stream in the back gives it a certain serenity and the backyard is so big. It’s nearby to many places so it’s a short drive if you are looking for groceries or restaurants. Would recommend staying in this beautiful home and more than accommodating owners.

My new favorite VRBO house

We often stay in the area for horse shows and have stayed at a number of different places right in Saugerties. While this home was a few extra minutes drive from the show, it was well worth it. We'll be back for sure!!!!

Great Get Away

My group and I had an amazing time renting this beautiful home. The property was spacious and provided privacy and great accommodations for our group of 7. Instructions were emailed prior to arrival about local spots and how to dispose of trash prior to departure. We enjoyed all the amenities provided. The hot tub was very relaxing and we liked having it as an option as well. Also, the owner was easily accessible via text for any of our inquires. Overall, we will definitely consider visiting again.

Wonderful nye for two families

Great set up for kids and adults. Large yard and basement space for the kids. Beautiful stream (raging river after heavy rain) bordering the backyard was special feature. Kitchen had everything we needed. All fantastic. And Peter even responded when I accidentally texted him late at night!

GREAT property!

This was one of the best VRBO's I've ever stayed at! The kitchen was well stocked with quality items (not the usual mismatched fleamarket finds!) It was quiet, peaceful and had the most amazing backyard! If you like wildlife and nature, this is the place for you! We spent hours exploring the river and had 2 deer cross the backyard while we were having coffee on the deck. I would love to come back and to the house during every season...just to see how the backyard changes!

Charming House, Amazing Backyard

The house is even more attractive and accommodating than the pictures and description, and Peter is a very generous, responsive host. But the biggest surprise is the rushing creek in back which leads to a huge, “National Park-worthy” waterfall, although on the neighbor’s property. (If you can’t make it to Kaaterskill Falls, just take a stroll out back.) My family is already planning another reunion here next year.

Great Location and Property

The house was great! Comfortable and had everything we needed, including nice outdoor spaces to relax and have an adult beverage after a day of exploring. Choosing wether to set up chairs by the river or fire pit was our hardest nightly decision. During our 5 day stay we visited Catskill, Woodstock, Phoenicia and Hunter/Tannersville, all a short drive away. The area is also a hiker's paradise. Our favorite outing was the 5 min drive to Circle W to pick up sandwiches, then 2 minutes to the trail that goes to Palenville Overlook. We ate our lunch sitting on thrones made of rock looking at one of the most amazing views the Catskills has to offer from 1700 ft of elevation. When we have time to go back to the Catskills we will definitely be checking this property first for availability! Great stay!

One of the best vacation rentals we've ever stayed in

From the beginning it was clear that this home is well-cared for by the host Peter and his family. Everything about the home and property is gorgeous - we stayed here over the July 4th weekend, and the enormous backyard and beautiful stream running through the property was the perfect setting for us. The host provided an incredibly thoughtful written guide to the home and surrounding areas; we particularly appreciated mapped out running routes and restaurant recommendations. The kitchen was very well equipped, as was a shed on the property with all kinds of lawn games and outdoor chairs/tables we used for our July 4th bbq. Peter was also very responsive (10min) when a couple questions came up during our stay. I get the impression from the pictures in the listing that this rental may be more popular for winter skiing, but for our summer trip it could not have been more ideal.Thanks again!
