This was one of our favorite stays while in Nova Scotia. We were two couples and we treasured the quiet and we found it easy to get into town. It’s was thoughtfully planned we loved looking out the huge bay of windows—-just wishing for sunshine to be able to enjoy the yard. Thanks you so much for a lovely stay

Frank and Val's waterfront property was just the perfect setting. Peaceful with just the sound of wild life around us.The cottage was exceptionally clean, well maintained and very nicely stocked with everything you could possibly need. The seaside decor was lovely and the rooms were all very comfortable and inviting. The outside seating areas were cozy and the fire pit was very nice.The hosts were very quick to respond to any queries and the binder with information about the cottage was handy. We would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful peaceful spot on the water. The cottage is well equipped and has everything you would need. Tranquil setting and the cove is great for kayaking and swimming. 10 minute drive to Lunenburg for shops and restaurants. Frank was great at keeping in touch. We loved our time here and would definitely come again!

We came for Lunenberg & stayed for Heckman’s Island!!! We chose to spend more time at this serene cottage/home on a beautiful, quiet cove than sightseeing around the area - that’s how much my husband & I loved this home/cottage. Many spots to sit outside & take in nature. Our host, Frank was very responsive & thoughtful. Leaving this Cottage on the Cove hoping one day to come back. Thank you very much Frank & Family!!

This cute little cottage was super clean and well-equipped. The hosts were extremely helpful and communicative and even provided tips for local things to do. However, the best part of this stay was this location, which was quiet, peaceful, and absolutely gorgeous.

This was the perfect place to come with family. We loved how clean the property was. They thought of everything like propane and firewood. Lots of towels. Everything you need to cook. We forgot coffee but thankfully it was stocked there too. Having ice in the fridge was a major plus, since we forgot that too! The water was beautiful, everything was perfect!

This is a wonderful location close enough to many attractions and isolated enough for a peaceful getaway. Deer roamed the property, kayaking for those who enjoy being on the water. Full windows across the front of this cottage offering a lovely view of the water, seagulls, night sky! You won’t find as many properties that are as clean and comfortable as here. It is a perfect place for two couples or four people. Your host Frank & Valerie are friendly, and all round nice people who will make your stay enjoyable! I had my 10 lb Cockapoo w me and she thoroughly enjoyed her stay as well. Plenty of places to go for a hike or leisurely walk. I visited Blue Rocks, two nearby beaches, Lunenberg, Mahone Bay on my way home where you can fill up with gas right in town. There are multiple cafes, restaurants & bistros if you prefer to eat out. A local grocery store in Lunenburg along the waterfront and another lovely one with a European flare in Rose Bay, look for the unusual and not those big chains. I visited from Oct 11 - 28, 2026, I had some beautiful days, some cooler day (I do enjoy sweater weather), so don’t hesitate to go as I did a little later in the season when the tourist traffic has calmed down.
