Family-friendly home in quiet neighborhood close to everything San Diego has to offer! 15 minutes to La Jolla Shores, 20 minutes to Pacific Beach, Balboa Park, downtown, Petco Park, and airport.

Enjoy parks, restaurants, grocery stores, coffee shops and more, all about 1.5 miles away (we often walked to them with our children when we lived here).

Home has a master bedroom with queen bed and en-suite bath with shower/tub combo, second bedroom with queen bed, third bedroom with two twin beds, and a full size fold out couch in the living room. Second bathroom also has shower/tub combo.

Kitchen has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and everything you need to make a meal during your stay.

The fully fenced backyard is great for relaxing, playing, or dining outside. Feel free to grab an avocado or orange from the trees.

Wifi, washer and dryer, and plenty of toys help make sure everyone enjoys their stay!

Clairemont home

A beautiful home, very family friendly! A nice, quiet neighborhood also made for a very relaxing stay. We were pleasantly surprised to find everything we could’ve needed, supplied by the homeowners. The beds were comfortable too! The kids enjoyed the Wii and played in the backyard with the variety of balls found in the garage. Thank you for a wonderful experience while we visited San Diego!!

Relaxing oasis close to everything

This immaculate home was exactly as shown in the photos. It was a lovely place for our extended family to get together for a few days in San Diego. The living area is perfect to spend time together and the bedrooms felt private. We loved the peaceful back yard. And there were plenty of toys and equipment for children in the house to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. It was super easy to get downtown to Balboa Park and to La Jolla to see the seals and sea lions. But afterwards we could return to this quiet oasis to relax together. We hope to return someday!

Worked out well

As was mentioned in other reviews, the property was clean, well-organized, convenient to San Diego attractions and close to grocery stores. We especially appreciated that one of the bedrooms had twin beds to accommodate our two grandchildren. Although we were not traveling with a baby/toddler, it was clear that there were many items for a younger child (e.g. high chair/portacrib). Even though we were staying over the holidays, we still made use of the beach chairs and beach toys. On a final note, the owner was incredibly prompt and accommodating when responding to our inquiries.

Excellent place for large families and children

We decided to spend our holidays at the beach this year and this house did not disappoint. We had two families, small children and the house was perfect for all of our needs. We are coming back in a year and will definitely be booking again if available. Mitch was also great to communicate with and any questions we had he was very prompt at answering.

Wonderful stay in San Diego

Fabulous!

This property and location was exceptional for our vacation. It was close to a couple of beaches and San Diego Zoo was just a short drive. It was close to restaurants and shopping, but nestled in a quiet neighborhood. The house was clean and provided all we needed including beach chairs, umbrellas, and toys.

darling cottage in Clairemont Mesa West

We were extremely pleased with our experience. The house was beautifully renovated and very clean. The location was convenient to everything we wanted to do and to the grocery stores. Our host even provided enough paper products for our entire stay of a full week with 5 or 6 people. We had plenty of parking when family came to dinner. Although we did not have any young children with us, there were many accommodations for little ones. This is a great place for a multi-generational family vacation.

Perfect home to create memories!

The pictures do not do this place justice! It is very spacious and the backyard was perfect for our kids to play in. It felt like our home away from home. It was our first time using VRBO and we are very happy with our decision to stay here. We hope to return again soon!

Great experience!

It was everything we needed for a family of 8 reunion. Very well stocked and plenty of room for all of us. We had 4 children with us and they loved the backyard. We also enjoyed the selection of board games that were available to us. When I reserved the house I told Mitch we would be celebrating my grandsons birthday and he had a very sweet gift waiting when we arrived. Would definitely stay again. Very clean and convenient to beach and zoo.

Comfortable just like your own home 🏠

My family and I were able to stay in this very comfortable home. Every year we attend a family reunion in San Diego and we try to rent a home so that we can relax and spend time with family. Everything about this home lent itself to comfort and it was an excellent location to all major areas of interest. Mitch the owner of the home was always available by phone or text if you had any questions or concerns. We had a lovely time staying in this inviting home.

Quite satisfactory overall

The house was just about exactly what we expected and needed. The only surprises were that the kitchen and living areas are larger than they look in the photos. We had small children with us, and their needs were well met by what was provided (pack & play, high chair, some toys and a fully fenced back yard). Parking was good, and the neighborhood was quiet. Shopping of all sorts is less than five minutes away, and freeway access is also nearby. The house was clean and in good repair, with the only exception being the ice maker, which we couldn't get to function. Don't know if it was operator error or not, but it was easy to work around.

A wonderful stay!

This was our first VRBO experience and it was amazing. Mitch was so responsive to my questions and all of our needs. The house was beautiful and we felt at home right away, and we loved the fact that Mitch provided everything we needed for our toddler. We chose to rent a crib and he was readily willing to work with the rental company for delivery. The neighborhood was exactly what we were looking for; quiet and comfortable. We would absolutely stay there again!

Wonderful!

We traveled to San Diego with three adults and three kids ages 3 and under. This house was fantastic for our family, perfectly located in a quiet neighborhood close to many attractions and right by a Target. The fenced back yard was a fun place to burn off energy. The house was well equipped and even had toys for the kids (which they loved). The owner was very accommodating and even prepared the house with an extra pack and play so we had two for our one year old twins. We had a great experience!

Property was conveniently located, airport less than 15 minutes away.

Neighborhood very quite, home felt like a family home. Landscape was beautiful. My guest enjoyed the backyard. Lots of sidewalks for exercising. Stores conveniently located. Very close to everywhere we needed to go, military installations, sightseeing. Would stay again if in the San Diego area.

We're still local which makes it easy to answer any questions or address any issues you may have during your stay.

Clairemont is a great area because it's centrally located. It's easy to get to most places in under 20 minutes, which means it's easy to enjoy beaches, downtown, or popular attractions without living in the congestion that surrounds those areas.

We've taken great care of our home and upgraded it along the way, including adding AC for the occasional hot day. Our upgrades have been environmentally friendly when possible, such as installing solar panels and a tankless water heater. It's a comfortable home and neighborhood we hope you enjoy as much as we do!
