Terry, We are truly sorry for the work occurring in the property next to you and regret if these details negatively impacted your overall experience at this property. This building experienced a major leak and many of the units were affected. Thankfully, the unit you stayed in was not affected. We do not manage any of the other units in this building, so we do not know the exact construction schedules. They are supposed to adhere to the noise ordinances set by Kure Beach. Ocean Dunes does not typically allow for major renovations to take place during the summer season; however, this was a special circumstance due to the major damage and complete re-haul of the unit. The last information we received from the HOA indicated that the unit had been gutted and no more additional work would take place until September, so we apologize that this was not the case.

Peletha, Thank you for your feedback. The following surveillance waiver is included in the contract and was signed by you prior to your stay. "I hereby acknowledge that 2302A Surfrider Circle Kure Beach, NC 28449 may be equipped with surveillance systems: interior noise monitor,exterior noise monitor and exterior cameras. These devices have been installed for the protection of the property and to ensure noise volumes on the premises do not become disruptive to the neighboring properties or violate the noise ordinance which is strictly enforced on our area Beaches. The noise monitoring software does not record video or conversations; however, it registers noise decibels and will notify Bryant Real Estate if the noise thresholds are exceeded on the interior or exterior of the home. All video surveillance is limited to the exterior of the home for guest privacy. Disabling, obstructing, removing or otherwise tampering with these devices can result in fines up to $500.Violations of the local noise ordinance that result in police activity at the property can result in an expedited eviction. Any fines or fees incurred by the property owner due to a noise ordinance violation will be charged to the leaseholder. I hereby agree to pay for any damages to software and/or hardware caused by misuse or tampering with the devices and understand that I may be held responsible for any fines directly related to noise ordinance violations. In the event tenant does not reimburse Owner by compensating Bryant Real Estate, Agent reserves the right to obtain funds through tenant’s security deposit, if applicable, or court proceedings where the tenant agrees to reimburse for reasonable court and attorney fees. Please note that we have staff available 24/7 to assist with any issues that may arise during your stay. Had we been notified of the issues you were having with the shower faucet, we would have gladly sent a tech to assist and remedy the situation.

Hi Kristie, I'm so sorry that you had such difficulties and that you felt it necessary to leave early. Unfortunately, our housekeeping did not have a problem with the shower when they were cleaning so there was nothing to report. It sounds like it just broke when you tried to use it. I can see where we responded quickly, but had to get the proper parts to replace the cartridge on a holiday weekend. I know that this does not help you, and that it was not your fault, but I appreciate you letting us know so that the next guest was not inconvenienced. We hope that you will come back and enjoy Pleasure Island again sometime soon.
