This renovated home is well appointed with everything you would need during your getaway, family gathering, or business trip. Due to the corona virus, we’re taking extra care to disinfect all touched surfaces between reservations.

Although the property is nestled in a beautiful heavily wooded neighborhood and feels like you are miles away from everything, it is conveniently and centrally located to everything. It is 20-25 minutes from all the colleges: UNC, NC State, & Duke. Only a short 15 minute drive to downtown Raleigh, 3.5 miles to Crabtree Valley Mall, and 2.5 miles to Brier Creek shopping. Umstead State Park, with its beautiful lakes, walking and biking trails, is only 1 mile away. RDU International Airport is only 10 minutes away.

It is warm and comfortable with many amenities, including a wood burning fireplace, large flat screen TV, fully equipped kitchen, washer/ dryer, lovely screened in porch with an adjacent open deck and a Weber gas grill. Sit around the fire pit to sit and enjoy the cool evenings.

Cozy Home with Privacy and Convenient Location

We had a wonderful 5-day stay here. My wife and I traveled with our 5-month old infant to explore Raleigh. It was a little tough to find initially because we arrived at night and the house is nestled within trees. But this adds charm and a sense of privacy, and you are still right by the main roads and city.Upon walking in, we were greeted with a complementary bottle of Prosecco and Milano cookies. The house is fully equipped with more than you need or could ask for, including lots of child-related items and toiletries. There are plenty of grocery stores and restaurants within 5-7 minutes drive and it is also conveniently located just 10 minutes from the airport. The backyard has a lot of trees and makes you feel like you’re in the woods. You can hear many songbirds throughout the day. The owner Miriam is really helpful and friendly, and is very responsive to questions and concerns (would usually respond to my messages within minutes).I would strongly recommend staying here for anyone visiting Raleigh and hoping for a cozy, peaceful stay and to get a feel for what it’s like to live like a local

Fall and family

Great house, quiet neighborhood close to airport, (12 min) downtown Raleigh and Durham. (20 min). Screened in porch was nice as well as backyard. Had an early Thanksgiving and carved Halloween pumpkins from farmers market ! Highly recommend

Awesome Place

The house is just as described. Communication with the host was very quick and easy. The house was very clean and well stocked with everything we needed. The screened in room, patio and fire pit area are very relaxing. We would definitely stay here again.

Cozy and Comfy!

This property was located in a quaint, cute neighborhood in Raleigh that was perfect for a week long get away. You’re close enough to all the necessary shops, but tucked away for the perfect amount of privacy and coziness.

Fantastic Stay

My family and I stayed at this wonderful home in Raleigh. The home was situated very conveniently to downtown Raleigh and very close to some local restaurants. The home is tucked away in a quiet, beautiful wooded neighborhood. My kids were very excited to find frogs, snails and sounds of birds in the morning. My wife thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful screened in porch to relax in. I enjoyed the quick commute to downtown Raleigh and to the Durham Bulls Stadium. Highly recommended! The Kelley Family

The house and property were exceptional. Very inviting, clean and well laid out. great back property with lots of chairs and a fire pit. lovely and relaxing. The house was comfortable and functional. Welcome package including Champagne, chocolates, eggs and creamer in the fridge was an added bonus. We certainly enjoyed it. We would return for sure. Great communication!

Raleigh wedding

We were attending a family wedding in Raleigh. A few of the weekend venues were in Durham so this location was perfect. Clean, comfortable and the hosts actually had breakfast essentials left for us! Very cute home with excellent amenities. Truly a home away home!

Home Away From Home

Wonderful property! Stayed 5 nights for NCSU graduation week/weekend. Close to Lake Lynn Park, RDU airport and Crabtree Valley Mall and not too far to PNC Arena, NCSU and downtown Raleigh. Comfortable beds and gathering spaces including a screened porch, well stocked kitchen and gorgeous yard. Great communication with host. We definitely recommend and would stay again!

Loved our stay in this home! If you are gonna be anywhere in the area we highly recommended staying here! The host were amazing and made sure you felt welcome. I loved this house! we seemed to be in the woods but it was 10 minutes to our events. great meeting places all around, on the deck, in the back yard, and in the living room. loved it. i have spoken to the owner about possibly getting more comfortable bed and pillow in guest room, but other than that it was great.

Beautiful home in great location

My sister and I spent five memorable days in this wonderful home. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms all located on the second floor. We didn't get a chance to utilize cooking in the kitchen, but it was well stocked with everything one would need to do so. There was a lovely dining room with plenty of seating for family meals and additional outdoor areas. We spent every morning and evening on the screened in porch surrounded by the sights and sounds of nature. The home is in a perfect location about 10 minutes from RDU airport and minutes from shopping, movie theaters, etc. Also in a very quiet, safe neighborhood. We had excellent communication with our hosts who were always quick to reply to any emails/questions. The check/in-out process was effortless and we were very appreciative to find some starter grocery items in the fridge upon our arrival. We would highly recommend this home for couples, a family or a girls trip and look forward to staying again if back in the area. Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us.

Perfect!

Can’t say enough about how much we loved this house. Adorable inside and out. Amazing, tranquil neighborhood. Perfect temperature control, comfy beds and pillows, a recliner my husband wanted to take home with us and a screened in patio that was a perfect oasis. Lovely welcoming items in the fridge and a well supplied kitchen. If we could give it 6 stars we would. We will definitely return.

Amazing

Everything about this property was wonderful! The pictures posted with the listing do not do the home justice. It is a well furnished, well cared for, stunning home. Their hospitality was top notch; Lights were left on for our evening check-in, goodies were left for us to enjoy, and it felt so much like a home. The soft, comfortable bedding, plush bath towels, & air conditioning were delightful after long, hot July days out & about in the area. Miriam & David should hold sessions for other VRBO property owners on how to manage/care for homes. The pride that they have in this property is exceptional; nothing is overlooked. Such a wonderful stay! We are looking forward to returning to the area & their home during a cooler season.

Wedding weekend

When we arrived my husband quickly said “This is going to work out perfectly for our long weekend in Raleigh. We were very pleased with the location, the condition and cleanliness of the property and the floor plan. We give the back porch 5 stars. We were very happy and surprised with the welcome goodies you provided and everything else we needed to make our stay very comfortable. It was great! We will be back !!

A beautiful home with so many personal touches

This property was so beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed our time in and around the property! The owners were so very receptive and quickly answered any and all questions. They provided unexpected extras which made our stay that much more memorable! We made wonderful memories in this beautiful home! We would not hesitate to take advantage of this property again if in the area!

Great place to stay

It's 15 minutes from RDU airport but far enough away so you hardly hear any planes. Very clean. Easy to find. And it was centrally located for us. We'll probably come back next year.

Traveling with our three children on vacation when they were young was always fun, but we learned that hotels were not always the most accommodating. Years ago we tried VRBO and were hooked right away. Our children and sometimes extended family could travel with us and have plenty of room to relax and enjoy each other in a comfortable home setting. Because of this, we always dreamed of owning our own vacation home.

My husband and I have lived in the area for the past 10 years and absolutely love it! Our neighborhood is a jewel in the middle of Raleigh. These are older homes with lots of character, nestled in large wooded lots that make it feel like you are miles away out in the country. We love it so much, that when a home in the area became available, we thought it would make the perfect vacation home. After a couple of months of renovating and updating this lovely home, we are ready to share it with others. We hope you love our home as much as we do!
