Very nice stay.

We enjoyed our stay here in La Porte. This was a cabin we used as part of a larger stay with extended family. It had everything we needed for our weekend wedding stay.

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. There were a couple of hiccups, no Internet the first night and the kitchen faucet didn't work. But other than that, the place was cute and clean.

Perfect spot for our little family

We have two younger kids and our family of 4 love staying here. Kitchen is stocked nicely and it’s very clean.

Riding our RZR'S

Perfect location to explore with our off road vehicles. Reilly's is a one minute walk with great food and drinks. We will be back!

Great

Easy access, updated bathroom and kitchen, simple and perfect for a landing point to go do things. Owner is super nice and helpful.

Casual and cool

A great spot to get away. Close to lots of little lakes and trails but tucked away so you don’t have to be around crowds. The bar/cafe is a great place to eat and meet the friendly town residents!

Perfect cabin in a small town!

We were visiting a town where my husband and his brother would go often as kids because his family had cabins there, and still does! Our rental cabin was great—nice, clean space, lovely remodeled little kitchen and bathroom, very comfy bed, porch was great for drinking our morning coffee. Our hosts were friendly and helpful. We had a great time in LaPorte!

Quick get away

My husband and our dog came up for a quick weekend away from the valley to do some hiking and relax. If you are looking for a nightlife or dining choice, this town is not for you. If you are looking for a fun outdoor rec area with a single place for burgers and beers at the end of the day this town is for you. The cabin was small but fully furnished with updated kitchen and bath. Very clean and management on site to help with any issues. Even though the place could easily sleep 4 I would say it’s crowded for any more than a single couple.

Wonderful PEACEFUL 4th July!!

Sweet small cabin with everything you'd need AND pet friendly! Loved sitting on the wrap-around deck! Lots of nice windows and ceiling fan, perfect for warmer days and nights. Only change we'd make is change out the Kerig for a regular coffee maker. Kerig's produce too much waste! Although we own property in LaPorte, we decided to check out an "in-town" cabin. Not very clean or comfortable

Walls were dirty. Didn’t seem like anyone cleaned the shower doors. Bed was hard and lumpy and uncomfortable. No AC so hot. I only stayed one night out of my 2 nights there. But there were not a lot of options.

The property was not clean, and communication from the host was extremely poor. The host did not respond until I requested that the reservation be canceled. The following day, he informed me that he had apparently provided me with the key to the wrong cottage, which had not been cleaned or serviced. The cottage I had actually reserved did not have the key where the host's instructions indicated it would be. However, the cottage next door did have a key hidden under the garbage can exactly as described in his text message, so I reasonably assumed that was the correct unit. When I opened the door, it was immediately obvious that the cottage had not been cleaned. The bed sheets were piled on the floor, bathroom towels were scattered on the restroom floor, and dog hair was everywhere—especially on the futon couch. The overall condition of the property was unacceptable. To make matters worse, cell service was very spotty, and there was virtually no reliable internet access. The nearest Wi-Fi connection was approximately 30 miles down the mountain. This experience was extremely disappointing. I have still not received the refund that the host promised. Between the lack of communication, unclean conditions, and unresolved refund issue, I cannot recommend staying at this property. Poor service and poorly maintained accommodations. I unfortunately, had to get accommodation down to Truckee and spent mor money at a Marriott hotel.

Excellent cabin

We stayed for a couple of nights in our old stomping grounds of La Porte. As always, the location is beautiful and incredibly peaceful. The cabin was great, very nicely redone, and very comfortable. Angela and Steve were extremely helpful and kind hosts. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting a hideaway in gold country.

Rustic Cabin

We loved this cabin. It’s very rustic, no frills, but perfect for us. We were not looking to spend much time inside. It was a good base camp for exploring the gold rush history, cute town, and the lake.

Great high Sierra mountin cabin! Remodeled but still retains old-time feel. Great setting, easy access, quaint forest town location. Access to PCT! Recommend.

Great Stay

We had a great trip! The cabin was as expected. I think the main issue I had was lack of info about check in and check out... I figured it out with no issues... but wish it had all been laid out somewhere without me having to ask or figure it out. Other than that, it was awesome!
