Cottage was clean and in a beautiful lake, we enjoyed fishing (caught a couple fish off the dock), the fire pit and hot tub. We had a great stay.

Lovely cottage on a lake without much boat traffic, apart from the loons.We enjoyed the facilities, using the hot tub daily, toasting marshmallows over the fire, and canoeing. We thought the cottage itself was adorable! The wood throughout made me know we we're in a cottage. The darkness in the bedrooms was impressive, and appreciated. The comfort of a warm shower was also enjoyed.The washer, and dryer were a wonderful convenience.

The property was easily found on a nice back road with a wonderful lakeside location. The access was easy with the code provided in advance for the key box. The paddle board and hot tub were both used, the beds were comfortable, my friend said this was the best nights sleep of the trip!! Everything went to plan, except we saw no moose in the park but can't blame the property for that. There is a local supermarket in Minden which provided everything we needed. We both enjoyed morning coffee on the decking listening to the Blue Jays and watching the squirrels and chipmunks forage.

The only good part was the location.Firstly, the place is very old and needs renovation.The house doesn't even have basic essentials like kitchen wipes ,towels , drinking water , kitchen itmes, expired coffee powder. The bed linens had a very bad smell and felt it was not washed for days, having a 1 year baby made us to checkout 1 day prior even though we had booked for 2 days. North worth for the price. Avoid unless you get a good deal.

Lots of activitities, went after school was in, super quiet. Cottage has everything we needed, near town, very relaxing.

Great place!

Stayed with a few friends for a weekend away. The property is beautiful with a great dock, plenty of toys for the water and plenty of space for 5 adults to stay comfortably. The hot tub was a great bonus and communication with the host (Gen) was very quick and helpful.

The cottage was clean, the beds were comfortable, the hot tub worked well. The water was beautiful. When they say no towels , it includes all kitchen and bathroom towels. Lovely walking right by the cottage.

Nice cosy cottage

Cottage was very clean. Being able to drive right up to the door was great. Property is pretty level which is nice. Great Lake clear and clean wonderful for swimming. Saw a loon and 2 ducks visited daily. Great stay.

Great Cotrage getaway.

Nice cottage to sit back have a camp fire or jump in the hot tub. Also was great to get out and go fishing. Lots of hot water. The BBQ worked really well.

Nice property and amenities, fishing the lake was a lot less productive than hoped for not a single fish was located only turtles

I'm glad you like Md the cottage and the provided amenities. Sorry to hear that you didn't have any luck fishing. Our guests usually have caught northern pike and small mouth bass in the past.

Autumn fun

We had a great couple of days to enjoy the fall colours at Genievievcottage. The weather was unseasonably warm so the screened in outdoor eating area was a welcome spot. The dock has wonderful views and was a quiet morning spot for coffee.

Peaceful and Quiet

A Peaceful and Quiet place to kick back and listen to the sounds of the lake. We were able to kayak around the lake and see the wildlife close-up. The water was warm for swimming and clear to see all the way to the bottom. Thanks Gen for hosting!

Winter Retreat

Such a great spot! Our family and dogs enjoyed 3 fantastic nights in the beautiful winter landscape enjoying the views, listening to the lake make unique sounds as it began to freeze, had cozy fires and played games. Cross country skiing (groomed trails) was 7 minutes down the road, great restaurants were close, and we went dogsledding at Winterdance for a once in a lifetime adventure. Such a great location and Gen our host was fantastic. We look to book again in the future.

Hereward's Final Farewell

We were in the area to scatter my late husband's ashes. The cottage was clean and comfortable. The view of the lake through the glass front of the cottage was lovely and peaceful. There is a great shower in the bath and everyone was comfortable in their beds. We really appreciated the large dining table.

A Relaxing Getaway

Such a beautiful cottage nestled on an open waterfront property. Very quiet area gave a sense of peace and tranquility while appreciating nature. The large ceiling to floor windows overlooked the view of the lake and property. The beds were extremely comfortable and the shower was large and clean. The weather was seasonably cold however we stayed toasty warm in the evenings with the large firepit area with plenty of seating. The host was wonderful and very easy to communicate with. Looking forward to coming again!

Great Stay At Cozy Weekenders

Had an absolutely wonderful time at Cozy Weekenders Cottage. The property is near the end of a quiet road so perfect for those looking for tranquility. At the same time, it is close to the two very charming villages of Minden and Haliburton with no shortage of available hikes nearby, as well as other activities. The cottage itself is well maintained and has a lot of grassy area right on the water with enough water toys for everyone. Perfect for a bonfire and viewing stars. The owner was great with communication and recommendations and was pleasantly accommodating. Would definitely recommend!

Girls Weekend Getaway

Communication with host was excellent. Beautiful property and the hot tub was a great addition. Cottage was smaller than the pictures indicated, especially the livingroom/kitchen table. Luckily the weather was fantastic and we spent more of our time outdoors. The 3rd bedroom was very cramped and the person in the bunk had to climb over the bed to get out. Our luggage had to remain in the livingroom as there was no floor space or dresser available in there. The other 2 bedrooms were roomy and the extra bunkie was also a good size with the queen bed and bunk beds. Overall though we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The third bedroom doesn't have a dresser or closet as seen in the pictures clearly. The bunk bed has steps to climb up and down. I'm glad that you'll enjoyed your stay!!!!

Minden Getaway

We brought our adult sons and their partners and our infant grandson to The Cozy Cottage Getaway for a week. It was ideal for the grassy area, Bunky, the dock, shallow entry into the lake and water equipment and roads leading away from the cottage for running were very picturesque. There are plenty of chairs and the deck is large with a lovely area dedicated to a covered tent that you can dine in. It was so helpful that all linens were provided. The shower in the bathroom was roomy and had great water pressure. The kitchen was well equipped with everything you would need. The only appliance we brought was our waffle maker. Additionally, it was such a bonus to have laundry in the cottage. The lake was lovely and very pleasant temperature-wise (August). The paddleboards, kayaks and canoes were wonderful additions to our stay. Although the guest book indicated others had good luck fishing in the lake our son's did not.... granted we did not have a fish-finder The fishing boat, we were willing to pay the fee for, did not have a working motor. Additionally, the cottage says "Dog Friendly" and a fee is paid to bring the dog which is perfectly fine, but the owner inquired before our arrival what the breed of the dog was. This would imply that they are dog friendly for certain breeds. We would definitely return to this cottage.

The property was perfect for our week vacation and it was very peaceful on the lake. Unfortunately weather and higher than normal water levels had other ideas, but we made the best of it in this lovely, comfortable cottage.
