I usually book VRBO for higher-end stays, so I was surprised to find this property listed at this price. It did not match the rate or the listing.Cleanliness was a problem throughout. There was dust everywhere, and the kitchen was the worst: the floors, sink and fridge had not been cleaned, and there was a dead wasp in the window that looked like it had been there for a week or more. The dining table was covered in plastic wrap. The home also felt worn and under-maintained. Dishes and flatware were a mismatched mix, with some pieces chipped. The bath towels were very small and worn (barely bath towels at all). One bedroom had no end tables, nearly all the window blinds had broken pulls, and there were scuff marks on the walls throughout. It felt more like a budget motel than a premium rental. The AC was malfunctioning and dripping water onto the carpeted main hallway, and it was extremely loud, with an industrial sound. We reported the problem right away, but the only response was to ask my wife to keep sending photos and texts back and forth for two days, during a holiday weekend when we were out visiting family. Nothing was resolved. At the substantial listed nightly price, I expected a clean, well-maintained home with nice and a responsive host. We got neither. I would not book this property again. The only redeeming qualities were the location (conveniently located between Richmond and downtown Vancouver) and the nice, tree-lined streets surrounding the property.
