Great low-set beach house!

This property is a holiday rental, it is not a principal place of residence and there are no shared rooms. Enjoy your time in comfort and privacy.

Billa Bungalow is a new to the holiday rental pool (December 2022), 2 bedroom, 1 bathroom tastefully renovated home close to beaches and shops.
The kitchen is well stocked and the furniture and furnishings are all new.
NB the kitchen does not have a conventional oven but an electric 2 burner benchtop hotplate, microwave and portable electric griller.
There is also a 4 burner gas BBQ.
This property has WIFI.

Due to narrow internal doorways, this house is not suitable for wheelchairs or wheely walkers.

Features are: 2 bedrooms (2 queen beds), dishwasher, fridge/freezer, 2 burner benchtop hotplate, microwave, portable electric griller,
top load washing machine, dryer, WIFI, 1 bathroom (shower/toilet), 4 burner gas BBQ, single carport.
Billa Bungalow is set back off the street and the backyard backs onto bushland.

Linen is supplied and beds are made on arrival for your convenience.

Please return keys to the drop off box outside the Ray White Office on the day of departure.

Exactly as advertised this cozy cottage is within walking distance to the beach and Straddie Hotel. Has everything you need and great value for money. Had a lovely 3 day stay.

Pt lookout house 100m from pub

Rating Details: The property manager was more than helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Our time at the Bungalow could not have been more perfect. It was clean, very cosy and a super quiet area. So quiet that we could hear the beach from our room. We didn't want to leave and will definitely be back again.

The property was very clean and tidy, comfortable beds, good linen and pillows, fairly well-equipped kitchen (note there is no oven but a 2 burner portable stove-top that works well). The BBQ was also large and worked well.The property is fairly 'no frills' but exactly as the description states, and good value for money in our opinion. Great location too!

Perfect position

Great place to stay. Holiday house with great position. Easy walk to home beach and the pub. We had a fire in the fire pit and barbecue one night. Couldn’t ask for more.

Straddy mini break

A warm and welcoming property conveniently located for Cylinder Beach and Point Lookout. The fire pit was an unexpected bonus - buy the wood from the roadside on your way up from Dunwich - $30 cash for a big crate load. We really loved the property as it’s quiet but convenient . The decor was lovely too .

The beach house was spacious. Rooms had lovely views of the street with the trees & bushes.Shower big. We did notice water in the fluorescent tube near the shower.We had windows open & fan on to air out. Plenty of utensils. Just no potato masher The cook top didn’t heat up as well. Good with microwave. Bring electric pan or airfryer. The stick vacuum doesn’t charge. I found another vacuum to clean the rooms. The sand in the carport has sand midges. Bogged when it was wet from rain . We left our shoes in the laundry. The drive way very steep. Maybe pavers near the top of driveway. Lovely to hear the kookaburra’s. Curlews & we saw a couple of kangaroos. Cylinder beach literally across the road past the newly renovated Stradbroke Hotel. Walks, fishing & Stunning Sunsets.

Relaxing long weekend stay

Reviewer Comments: The house is very quirky and cute, quite basic but comfortable, nicely decorated. It has all the gear you need (including a cabana for the beach and some beach chairs, and a fabulous fire pit!). We were only here for 2 nights but would have loved a longer stay. I brought my elderly parents, we chose this house because it has no stairs. It's a little walk to Cylinder or Home beach, quiet location. The staff at Ray White were exceptional, very helpful and kind.

Toaster oven needs the bin disgusting 2 cushion on sofa need bin. None of the usual welcome pack no tea coffee milk or toiletries no exhaust fan in bathroom no tissue or hairdryer.only pedestal fans no air con. Be careful of driveway. Dining setting and bathroom and wall decor lovely

Nice place but could do with a couple of extras

We had a nice stay at Billa Bungalow. The house is comfortable although even with all of the windows open, the breeze didn't flow through the house and it was very hot indoors, even through the night (stay was early March). Ceiling fans in the bedrooms would go a long way. Good proximity to Cylinder beach, the pub and local shops. The house was clean when we checked in although there was a smell of "wet dog" that seemed to linger in the air.

Fridge vege tray front plastic section fell of straight away and had previously been unsuccessfully repaired. Boiling the electric jug was a worry as it leaked water badly. Apart from those two things a nice back street little two bedder.

Beds - the main bed was ok, the second bed was very uncomfortable, and we would not book this again because of this this.Cooking equipment could be improved with an induction hob, the old-style hob was very slow.The BBQ was very dirty so we did not use it.The flooring at the rear entrance was lifting

The place was so dirty. Floors hadn’t been cleaned in years. Dust all over the fans as there’s no air conditioning. The house and amenities itself was okay, but it needed a good bond clean before renting it out. Big let down on cleanlyness. Bathroom light didn’t work. Pictures show light switch on but no light on. Place needs a bit of love.

I thought with out ac you would have ceiling fans we found portable fan in the cupboard Sat them down and turn them on 20 years of dirt dust and grime went everywhere The bathroom roof leaked we thought it was condensation but it got worse the floor was stained by it so it had been leaking for a bit we put a bucket under it It was a yellow brown colour we all got a bit sick from the stay

We left a day early we were very uncomfortable

We had booked this accomodation between Christmas and New Year and traveled from interstate. When we had arrived on the island we received our checkin info which informed us that there were no beach towels, soap, toilet paper etc. For the price paid I would expect such simple items to be supplied. We found the accomodation to be very uncomfortable. It smelt the entire time, all the 'Reno's were just cover ups, rails fell off when you hung up towels, picture above the bed fell off while we were asleep, couch is super uncomfortable, screw fell out of the table when we sat at it etc. We were expecting simple accomodation, but not smelly uncomfortable accomodation. It was extremely disappointing for the price. We ended up leaving a night early in order to enjoy our last night of holidays.

Great little house, clean and comfortable. close to bus stop and pub. Would be a lot easier if keys were kept locked away on site as it made checking out difficult without a car. Would stay here again

No Frills Accommodation in a handy location

There were sufficient appliances & kitchen utensils to prepare meals and a fully equipped laundry with both washer and dryer. The wifi was reliable & the hone has a smart tv. The addition of ceiling fans would be a nice touch, particularly on warm summer nights. Overall the home represents good value for the price.

Location is perfect to walk to all the beaches etc Great layout and well presented Didn’t realise no full oven when booked so this was a bit of a challenge with only a tiny bench top style cooker. Might be hot in summer with no Air Con and only portable fans.
