We had a wonderful family stay here in May. The house is big and flexible to allow all our generations their own space. The pool is large, with a long flat shallow end and a deep end deep enough to dive. Fantastic. Brilliant garden space and games stuff kept us occupied but the villas location was good for Lucca and Pisa. Some of us went to Florence!Would love to come back with the family. Thank you.

A very memorable property

It was a very nice property, a lot of space and facilities in a very nice environment. Surrounded by hills but not far to the sea to enjoy some day trips at the boulevard.The swimming pool is amazing for kids to have fun!!Thank you Alessandro for your nice property and easy check-in and check-out.

Very nice house, near Lucca, the beach, Pisa, Firenze mm. The pool absolutely the best and lightened in the evening!

Fantastic house in Tuscany!

A very nice and well equipped house with everything you need for a vacation! Nice, big pool and a beautiful garden! 10 min walk from the house there is beautiful littlle village with cafe, carrefour, pizzeria and a bar.

Alessandro was a wonderful host and very accommodating. The villa was a little difficult to find but he helped us navigate. The property is beautiful and clean and has amazing views that elicit joy. The only recommendation I would have is to have tea, water and coffee available for guests which is what we experienced at other properties we stayed at on our travels. The rooms were spacious and offered privacy and common areas were perfect for gathering.

Lovely week in San Martino!

Our extended family group of 9 people (aged 14-77) really enjoyed our stay! The house is spacious and comfortable. The pool was a big hit. Village of San Martino in Freddana has lots amenities including bakery, bar, restaurants and pharmacy. Lucca a short drive away and is a gem. Highly recommend riding bikes around the wall and climbing the tower. Alessandro was very responsive and checking in and out was seamless and easy. Guests who want to use the pool should pack pool towels as they are not provided. All in all a fabulous home base for a week in Tuscany! Ciao!!!

Wonderful Tuscany Experience

Beautiful home, perfectly situated and kitted for large families, we had nine guests between the ages of 13 to 77, and there was plenty of space and comfort for everyone. Various seating and eating areas, both indoor and outdoor, allowed us to spread out and convene as a unit as we wished. This was a good location to explore Lucca, Pisa, Viareggio and more. We even found a difficult hike nearby for a subset of the family. But what we wanted was a trip that allowed us to explore AND relax by the pool with books (or ping pong tournaments) and it couldn’t have been better. Our host was wonderful. He came by to check on us and was very responsive before and during our stay. A local chef, Marinella, came in one night to prepare an absolutely fabulous meal for the group. This will be one of our nicest memories from the trip.

Family Vacation in Lucca

Our family of twelve, aged 8 to 80 years, stayed in one villa with plenty of room for all. We ate our meals at the villa. The upstairs kitchen was well-equipped with pots, pans and tableware, and there were two large dining tables (one indoor and one outdoor). Two drip coffee pots were available as well as a nespresso machine. A moka pot was also available. We did not use the downstairs kitchen, but it seemed similarly equipped. I recommend bringing coffee, toilet paper and any kitchen consumables (oils, apices, foil, etc). The view of the Tuscan hills from the patio is great. The pool was closed for the season during our visit, but I can imagine it would be amazing during the summer. Check-In and Check-Our went smoothly. Two installment payments were made prior to check-in. Access is via a key left available so late check-in was no issue. I highly recommend this property for your visit to Tuscany if you’re looking for a good home base to explore from with plenty of space to share meals with your family.

Beautiful Lucca

What a lovely place to holiday! San Martino in Freddana was magical and Lucca was just 10 minutes away and amazing. The villa was very impressive on first appearance, we then found a few things that weren’t good. The microwave didn’t work, the iron was broken, many lightbulbs were not working and the kitchen utensils were basic. As a party of 7 we managed but if the villa was full to capacity, there wouldn’t have been enough glasses etc. The basement was very dark and incredibly damp while we were there, it was raining though. One of my children’s mattresses was covered in mould which was a big put off as she is asthmatic and suffered because of it. We had paid a service charge for a cleaner but week 1 only beds and towels were changed, week 2 the bathrooms were cleaned too but at no point was the floor swept or mopped. The swimming pool was absolutely gorgeous but the plastic grid round the outside was obviously brittle and my husband fell through it, badly injuring his foot. That said, the caretakers did offer to get us medical assistance if we needed it. The outdoor slabs were extremely slippery and all but one of us slipped over on them resulting in various minor injuries. All in all, the location was amazing, the villa was very nice but not quite as luxury as led to believe. Joanna was extremely helpful all of the time. Nice holiday had by all.

Thanks Camilla for your advices, now all the things you mentioned have been totally improved. in the kitchen there are all the utensiles you need and even more, plates, glasses, mixer, espresso machine, etc. And we pay more attention to the broken bulbs. In the lower level the problem was caused by a linking pipe some days before your arrivall, and I m sorry for that. now it is completely dry and secure and we put a system of changing air (controlled mechanic ventilation). outside the grid around the swimming pool was totally replaced. And we integrated many other sun beds. Finally we pay more attention to the cleaning. We want always improve and our first goal is to make our guest's holidays relaxed and to remember.

Enige minpuntje, het was moelijk om het huis te vinden. We hebben met ons gezin van 12 personen een prachtige vakantie doorgebracht in de mooi verzorgde en rustig gelegen villa. Alles was aanwezig. De kleinkinderen hebben veel plezier beleefd in het zwembad en de tuin. Lucca ligt op 8 km, maar ook andere bestemmingen liggen binnen bereik. De communicatie met de eigenaars verliep bijzonder vlot. Een aanrader voor een vakantie in een prachtige streek !!!

Dejligt hus, med rigtig fin beliggenhed. i gåafstand til indkøb og mulighed for at gå ture i de flotte bjerge. Der er lidt mangel på indhold i køkkenerne, det er meget begrænset udvalg. Men ellers et virkelig dejligt ophold. Skøn stor pool, flot og stilren have. Skønt ophold.

Die Unterkunft ist perfekt geeignet für Familien und größere Gruppen. Es gibt alle Möglichkeiten miteinander oder auch separat Zeit zu verbringen. Grundstück und Pool sind großartig, die Terrassen sehr gemütlich.

er waren maar 3 badkamers en geen vier zoals vermeld in de omschrijving. De keuken was onpraktisch en niet proper. Buitenruimte was fantastisch, groot zwembad, bbq, parkeerruimte, heel rustig.

Een grote tuin met fantastisch zwembad in een rustige omgeving. Het huis is ruim en degelijk onderhouden. De keuken is eerder klein en de tafel- en keukenmaterialen zijn eerder aan vervanging toe. Allesandro is een vriendelijke en behulpzame verhuurder die steeds klaar staat.

Es ist ein schönes Haus - sauber ordentlich Der Pool ist traumhaft - sehr groß und schön Bäcker Pizza (auch to Go) erreicht man bequem zu Fuß Geschirr und Besteck könnten durch neues Mal ersetzt werden Was ich nicht ganz in Ordnung fand - es sind nur 3 Bäder im Haus nicht 4 Das vierte „Bad“ ist eine Toilette außen am Pool Ist in der Beschreibung nicht so zu lesen Ansonsten war alles sehr schön

Fantastisch

Die Beschreibung stimmt absolut mit der vorgefundenen Situation überein. Das Haus ist für 3 Familien ideal. Der grosszügige Garten und der Pool sind exzellent und lädt zum entspannen ein. Der Gastgeber Alessandro war aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Wir können dieses Haus sehr empfehlen und kommen gerne wieder.

Super schöne vinca

Die vinca ist superschön. Sehr gepflegte Anlage. Eine Tischtennisplatte und ein Fußball waren auch vorort. Ich würde diesen Aufenthalt weiterempfehlen.
