Great place in great location

We spent one week in Glenelg and enjoyed the location of the apartment. The beds were very comfortable and the place was clean and well appointed.

Wonderful unit and location

We enjoyed our stay in this beautifully renovated and furnished unit. It was super clean and comfortable with everything we required for our stay. Great location close to the beach and an easy walk to Jetty Road.

Exactly as described

The property was beautifully maintained and presented. The overall area is quiet and only a short walk to the beach. Hosts were incredibly helpful and accommodating.

Immaculate property and a wonderful stay

This property was perfect for a family vacation. It was immaculately clean, beautifully decorated and in a fantastic location. The host's communications were clear, answered all my questions and made for a very easy, stress-free stay. Thank you!

A home away from home

This was a fantastic place to stay - the apartment is modern, well equipped and has everything needed for a very comfortable stay. The location is excellent, being only a short walk from Glenelg. Janet and Marcus are wonderful hosts - the communication was great, accurate and accessing the accommodation was straightforward. Loved the app to detailing the accommodation and attractions in the local area. Would happily stay here again!

Nice and convenient

Great spot! 3 min drive to anything you might need and close to the foreshore. All amenities available as well inside the home making it a very easy living situation.

A great base for an Adelaide break

Glenelg Stay at the Bay is a modern, functional and delightfully refurbished apartment in an older art deco shell. It is ideal for a couple and we didn’t use the car at all. A brisk 15 minute walk along the beach to the Glenelg light-rail is a twenty minute trip to the Adelaide CBD. ‘lovely apartment, lovely environs, lovely break.

Excellent bed

Comfy bed with electric blankets made our sleeps soooo good! Great location. Exterior of building is very old but the interior has been completely renovated and is completely modern and fresh, you wouldn’t know it was an old building. Love that it still has the exterior charm and quirks and character of old style. Great communication with hosts. Hair dryer is great!

Cute & convenient

Stay at the Bay was well equipped and convenient to the beach . We arrived on a 38 degree day and the aircon in the living room and the vertical fans were sufficient for comfortable sleep . A short walk to Jetty road for restaurants (Cardone’s seafood Italian was excellent and fabulous homemade gelato at Botega’s was superb). The only thing we would suggest is put in a screen door on the front door to allow flow through ventilation and for security . We would definitely stay here again . Landlady was friendly and helpful .

We love the fact that the property is just far enough away from the hustle and bustle but still within walking distance to all the restaurants and cafe's and the beach. We actually had a heritage screen door installed the day you left. We had one on order but we didn't want to disturb you with the installation during your stay. The door has definitely complimented the entrance and will allow guests to have the door open and maintain privacy.

Garage

1) Garage is quite small .. our rental car , rav 4 was just / barely fitted.. so after the second day we did not use the garage.. 2) the round table was not stable, chairs were bit too law. 3) if you can .. pls put the mirror in the second bed rm. 4) the key box was hard to be opened. But overall we are happy. Thank you.

Hi Tom, thanks for your review. The measurements of the garage are displayed in the listing for this reason. We also park on the street as its easier and closer. Thanks for mentioning the table, we will check it out. It probably has a loose screw. As for the chairs, they are stock standard so not sure there is much we can do about that? Glad you were happy overall though.

Beacon Lodge is an art deco era gem and it is lovely this building and architecture style lives on (as do many other fabulous art deco homes/apartment blocks in Glenelg South). While Beacon Lodge exterior could do with some renovation, Glenelg Stay at The Bay was very modern. The kitchen was well equipped as is the apartment generally (everything you could want). The apartment decor was very comfortable and homely. The apartment is ideal for a couple (maybe a couple with a young child?). There are two bedrooms, however, the layout is awkward; second bedroom doesn't have a separate exit to the lounge room but is connected to the main bedroom and you have to walk through it to get to the lounge room. The parking advertised is really not suited to any mid to larger car. The garage looks original and it doesn't look like any repairs have been made since it was built. The sliding door didn't slide across fully and we gave up even trying to park inside. For our 8 nights, we parked on the street. Communication was excellent. Janet provided all the information regarding access and when we had a query during our stay. The area is quiet and within walking distance to the Broadway and to the Brighton-Glenelg Beach walking path. Would we stay there again ... YES.
