Nice Place

Nice open space inside and friendly host. It was a beautiful location with the kitchen windows facing the mountains. Great for a morning cup of coffee. Location was close to the parkway, so it was convenient for traveling into the small surrounding towns.

Great location and spectacular views centrally located in Dutchess County. Quiet and peaceful and host was responsive when we had a problem. What would have been helpful was a page in the guest book with info on how to use the heat, AC, TV, etc. If it was there, we missed it. There was great info on things to do in the area which is very helpful to visitors! Cooking ability is limited. There is no oven and not much silverware (ex, 3 forks) and the pots are very scratched Silverstone. That being said, we would go back if we were visiting Dutchess County again.

We stayed for two nights while attending families' weekend at nearby Vassar College (20 minutes away). Communication was terrific - timely, friendly, and clear. Since we arrived after dark, we especially appreciated the sign at the parking spot welcoming us by name (we knew we were in the right place!) and the series of motion-sensitive lights on the porch to facilitate finding the lockbox and unlocking the door at an unfamiliar property. The view was lovely. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was spotless, and the bathroom was fine - great shower head! :)One note: there's only one bathroom and anyone staying in the accessory bedroom has to walk through the main bedroom to get to it. So I wouldn't recommend this situation for, for example, two couples who might not be completely comfortable with each other.My only suggestion would be to add a small reading area with a standard comfortable armchair and floor lamp. Other than the enormous lounge area's padded recliners (which didn't have good reading light), there were no chairs with backs in the apartment - only backless bar stools and very large stuffed beanbag-type chairs. (There was a rolling office chair in the accessory bedroom but still no good reading light, and it wasn't a comfortable chair for reading.)Thank you for a lovely stay!

Beautiful Spot

The spacious rooms are modern and clean with floor to ceiling windows that have beautiful views - and black out curtains to enjoy sleeping in! There is also a spacious deck for morning coffee. We look forward to coming back.

Walking into a bedroom from the outside deck as the main entrance is not optimal. Walking through the second bedroom to use the only bathroom is also not optimal. We never gained access to WIFI bc there was no password to be found and the owner did not answer our calls.

We loved this place. Came in from FL for my nieces sweet 16 and it was the perfect escape! Great touches including snacks and coffee. Greatly appreciate and would stay again!

The location is awesome. Close to everything yet nested in a beautiful street. The view of the sun setting on the mountains from the home is spectacular. The home was perfect for us.

What a view

The place was very comfortable and great location. Gorgeous view of the mountais and sunset. There was an issue with lights going off in the bathroom but the host was easy to contact and promptly addressed the issues.

Perfect weekend getaway

Property was beautiful, we enjoyed sunsets on the deck in autumn. The interior was spacious and comfortable, and the amenities were high quality and welcoming. 5-10min drive to groceries and markets in the area. The kitchen is very nice to use, only downside is there is no oven. Great place!

Relaxing getaway

An eclectic and open place to relax, take in the scenery, and be well. We took our cadet there to get away from the rigors of West Point for Acceptance Day weekend (it is inside the 20 mile radius). Make use of the outdoor space!

Spring retreat in the Fishkills

It was a spacious one bedroom apartment with private entrance that turned out to be a perfect retreat. Location was excellent for multiple sightings literally 20 minutes in each direction. Got you where you wanted to be. Beautiful vistas and had the perfect sunset with our welcoming bottle of wine. We will be back.
